Thinking of twins today - Purim - Jewish Spring Festival.

Manual labor to my father was not only good and decent for it's own sake but, as he was given to saying, it straightened out one's thoughts.

Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it.

That's been one of my mantras - focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it's worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.

Design is a funny word. Some people think design means how it looks. But of course, if you dig deeper, it's really how it works.

OH, those ARE snappy quotes today, Lynlee.

We went to bed too late last evening, with somewhat good reason, but still I wish I could take that back. It's wonderful to have a weekend with a little less stress/deadline/absolute, but then Monday morning comes.

I did some of the legwork I'd promised a dcousin yesterday. She won't be happy with what I learned. Doing the best I can.

Having journeyed two towns away, I shopped at the high-end fresh market and although I did find some of the most beautiful produce anywhere, I wasn't impressed with much else. So, no compelling reason to switch from the nearby one. I don't have the luxury of attending many different places to shop. I need to be able to get shopping done quickly. As it is right now, I have honest reasons I'd like to do grocery shopping at 3 places. (convenience, selection, healthy/produce) And we hear that the one with the best selection is selling out. Sigh.

Our household is on a health kick right now. HRH made a wild/brown/quinoa pilaf last night with asparagus and broccoli. He's got his eye on a couple new recipes today, too. In the continuing saga of will he/won't he buy some exercise equipment, we're on a positive swing. I've had 7 straight days of meeting my 14 healthy habits, which may be a record.

Brief letter from math teacher asks if he can have dd's Disney/Pixar budget-projection project back to use as an example in the future, which is a nice compliment. She had made a mistake in the math that deducted 2 points, but remembered to write, "I love math" at the top of the page, and he gives 2 points credit to anyone who can remember he promised that in the first day's lecture, lol. I thought I might ask him if we can keep it until her big sister gets to see it.

Congratulations, Dee, on dgs' championship team.

Good job using up the K ohl's cash, ellyphant. I hate finding those things left in my purse until after the date, and also hate thinking I should use them when I don't have time!

So sorry about the autoharp string and here it is Sunday morning and no place to buy one!

OKay, we are not an addiction, we are a destination!

Just a quick post before we leave for church. Going to stop on our way back and mail off our taxes (decided to go with priority mail & the P.O. has an automated center for that -finally remembered that this morning so it can be on its way).

It will be nice when dd feels she can once again go to church with us. Right now she has to stay home with gd. :| There's a lot behind that statement.

I'm still working on our list of meds -trying to figure out when to order what. Have to be sure I have enough to last through the end of April. After I order the last I need here, I'll change our address to up north so I can order dh's sent to him. Actually I think our 'forwarding' is through April 20th. I'll have to see if I noted the date somewhere.

Thanks, Harriet. I'm very sure this is very big in DS-A's heart. It's his first championship I'm sure.

Off to do makeup and get ready to go. BBL

Good Morning!

LO just told me for the first time EVER..."I don't feel like going to church this morning". WOW! That is huge coming from him. A normal question he ask almost every day of the week is "how many more sleeps until church day?" He loves going to church so I know he really REALLY doesn't feel good. Poor little fella. He just can't seem to get well and stay there. One cold/virus after another.

We have blizzard conditions in our forecast. They are predicting us to get 7" of snow with 50 mph wind. The grocery store is going to be a mad house today. And I have a 3 page "buy" list. Bad. Bad. Bad. timing.

Sunday, Sunday....my big catch up, rest up day.

I don't think think I've even checked in here much this week so I'll try to CUOP a little as I go.

Tentative PODA:
afternoon nap
visit my dmom
paperwork catch up
routines around the house
catch up laundry
PODA for the week

First round:
-breakfast
-meds for me and ddogs
-get dressed, brush teeth
-walk the ddogs

That round is done, except that I skipped brushing teeth because ddogs got antsy to go once I was dressed. Very, very nice day here so I think I'll push the large fern out on the front porch to enjoy the sunshine - supposed to be 60 and sunny today.

I also started a load of laundry before I left with ddogs, and I started the dishwasher going earlier.

This time around:
-move fern outside
-straighten great room
-clear kitchen table
-finish with wiping kitchen counters
-call dmom about coming in an hour or so

Good Morning Villagers.

LynLee - Thanks for the quotes, and have a good night.

Harriet - I was up to late last night also.

Dee - enjoy Church and isn't it hard to believe that April is just around the corner?

OKay - (((LO))) do you give him vitamins? There are several that help boost the immune system.

Twins - Good Morning

And another round, told dmom I'd leave here in about 20 minutes or so to see her around 12:30. So funny, she has nothing going on at all today but wants to know what time I'll be there....

-brush teeth
-straighten up bathroom while in there
-reboot laundry
-make the bed
-print a list of dmom's meds

And then I'll head out....

Probably by the time I get home, I'll be ready for a nap...

Whoops, forgot to post this, need to print the listing and I'm set to go.
