Why: Suffragettes campaigned for women's right to vote. The word 'Suffragette' is derived from the word "suffrage" meaning the right to vote. International Women's Day honours the work of the Suffragettes, celebrates women's success, and reminds of inequities still to be redressed. Late last night - cleaned a hall cupboard doors.

I went to a funeral for the brother of friend this morning. I took another friend who was not familiar with the church. We came back here for a bit before I dropped her home.
appointment in the afternoon.
then late - went into town to buy dsis a birthday gift. I was late to the post box, hoping they were still to empty it and I caught today's post. Walked 3-4k to post it.
washed mattress protector and got it dry despite the odd showers that appeared out of nowhere.
A long phone call from friend who had lost her brother.

(((Dee))) I've made a little ceremony privately for friends who had passed. One at home with candles and flowers and memories we shared. Another in a park (again lots of memories to review) and petals I picked up. (Not allowed to pick flowers there) I threw them in the tidal river from a ferry walkway, and followed their progress up river. I'd missed her funeral and was upset at that. Somehow I felt that honouring her in that way helped my grief and regrets.
I pray that dgd will be accepted into the program, and it will make a world of difference for her.

Waving. Insufficient sleep last night. I think I need make tracks early. Also - a funeral always seems to bring up lots of memories of lots of people now departed.

I'm glad HRH met someone who was his match yesterday. We need people like that to keep our dh's in line!

I'm up and at it. Got out of bed at 7:30 after another, slightly less rough, night. I know I slept more but don't know how much more. Today is strip and remake bed so I did that and immediately had to iron because the sheets were in the dryer this week, got left overnight and the pillow cases didn't come close to meeting my standards.

Also put away all the laundry on the drying rack so I'm ready to vacuum up here and then start loading the drying rack with fresh laundry.

Now, I'm on the treadmill. My chest is sore along with my throat but the rest of the aches are better. Knees have been fine so far but I've only been working on this level, no stairs, yet.

It was great to wake up to a clean room this morning - - along with a shiny sink. Now to hit the den today so I don't have to do the slalom to walk thru it.

If you didn't ready last night's post - found our retirement accounts. The ones I was looking at are the cash accounts not the investments. Big sigh of relief.

So this morning I wrote 2 emails, one to the gal that helped straighten out the accounts and one to her boss telling him how well she has helped us. Customer service is not dead - at least at our financial guy's business.

The clouds are so low and ominous this morning that they look like they are just above our trees. The mountain tops are covered. It has gotten light but no sun. A perfect day to stay inside. We are suppose to have rain and snow today and tomorrow but in the 80's by next weekend.

Time to get the BGS and get moving. TTFN

This morning parting at school went perfect. I could hear the joy in LO voice as he greeted the principal this morning. No fear. No worries. He greeted several adults Good Morning as he walked down the hallway to his classroom. He stopped along the way and gave 2 a hug. YES!! LO anxiety seems to be leaving and he is returning to is normal happy self.

Today I have a dentist appt to get crown on back tooth in hopes the pain will end. I have asked DH to be on standby in case I can't make it back in time to pickup LO from school. I have also asked DH to trade vehicles with me today. LO and I recently sorted through his exterior toys that he no longer uses and they are ready to be loaded up and dropped off at GW. **sniff** **sniff** LO is growing up and no longer plays with toddler type toys. Waving good bye to LO's tricycles, little wagons, push toys, etc. Hoping they bring many happy hours of playing to another child.

I feel happy I can work here for a bit. we are going to a party this evening so I do want to get things accomplished especially since I left my house behind for a month and boy can you see it. Thank Goodness dh has kept up with dishes and sweeping and laundry. I don't know what I would do without him.

Good morning, villagers ~
Yesterday gets a pretty decent grade. Made it through the whole list I posted with one deliberate exception.

I decided not to move the boxes from my car into the house yet. I'm really liking the feeling that once I clear a space, it stays clear. I'm not quite ready to sort though those boxes yet, and I don't want them just sitting around, so I just rearranged the car to make room for the day's shopping.

Last night's library group meeting started out great and ended badly. To calm myself down afterward, I watched an episode of BBC Edwardian Farm and was soothed by the beautiful scenery and rural activities.

Today I need to run errands here in Tiny Town. Other than that, it's time to get back to the office closet that keeps getting pushed aside.

Spring is on its way! This weekend is the time change. DBIL and DSIL are back from their winter vacation in Texas. I wonder if we'll be invited to a family party this weekend to celebrate? I didn't think of that before grocery shopping. Must figure out options for 2 or 3 pot luck dishes.

I've been out to the court house to renew the tabs on the lisc. plates on the car this morning. I was early and got to be first in line! Yea for having that done already.
Breakfast is over.
I was up at four-ish had to eat some thing & took my a.m. meds as well. Dozed on the couch until h. left and got up with a kink in my neck fighting a headache so working out the kink is next up for me.
