Shining through tears, like April suns in showers, that labour to overcome the cloud that loads 'em.
Thomas Otway
(April shower's passing as I post this. The sun comes out when it wishes to, or clouds allow it more like it.)
The capacity of man himself is only revealed when, under stress and responsibility, he breaks through his educational shell, and he may then be a splendid surprise to himself no less than to this teachers.

Good morning, Lynlee. Hi to lucylee from last night.
It is back to school day for us. The school run went well, I suppose, although there are always frustrations.
I've just set my ddad's breakfast out for him.
Did some cardfile organizing.
I'll strip our bed next and do those linens. Following Lynlee in that.
Today begins Office or Other week for Focus cleaning. I need to vacuum.
For decluttering, it's Closets. So I should continue around our master closet.
I don't know if this day will hold dear uncle's return or how much part he would like me to take in it. I got a phone call from dear aunt's caregiver last evening saying thanks for some pantry restocking I did yesterday for her. But dear uncle finds it very difficult to express whether he wants me to do anything for him or whether he'd rather depend on friends from church. Anyway, I would have to wait for HRH to get home before I could make a trip to hospital to find out what's needed.

Some more quotes from Maggie Thatcher, who died today.
I do not know anyone who has got to the top without hard work. That is the recipe. It will not always get you to the top, but should get you pretty near.
Any woman who understands the problems of running a home will be nearer to understanding the problems of running a country.
I'm up after a nasty night in bed. The sleep tracker has two settings. The first shows I had 95% quality sleep, the second 54%. The first catches my gross movements (tossing and turning) but the second seems to catch finer motions because it shows me awake between 4:30 and 6 (which I was.) It also shows me awake more than asleep between 1 and 3 which I don't recall (I do recall tossing and turning but I don't recall lying awake unable to fall back asleep.) The issue is heat. I'm too hot with any covers on and not warm enough with no covers on. I tried kicking off my duvet and just covering myself with my dressing gown but that was too much too. This is the second night in a row the sleep has been quite poor so I need to come up with a solution.
Still in my pj's. I've had my tea, made the bed and checked email. But I need to get moving now and at least eat my breakfast.

I am not following my new morning order today. I got on the computer and did emails first thing this morning, before s2s or devotions. We are slowly working through our summer schedule; emailed dfriend in TX with the week that works best for Santa Fe camping/visit for us. Emailed small group with our decision regarding our camping trip this summer. Dh and I have decided to try to go to my hometown this weekend to see friends from Cali (and my family). I'll need to call my parents this a.m. to run that idea by them. . . . I hope that goes well. We will stay in a hotel, obviously. This is quite last minute. Wading through these decisions does feel good. They need to get made.
Dh is off on a morning run. He was up until wee hours this morning last night grading his section of an exam for the class he is team-teaching this semester.
Next: a.m. routine.

I dug up another patch of the wrong grass one more large one to go and that will be good to get done! Yea!!! But it's rainy and I need to pay attn. to some inside things here this morning maybe it will clear out later on time will tell.

Good Morning!
This morning is off to a good start. I'm enjoying the challenge of following Tiny Habits....one tiny habits flows into the next. Without much mental effort on my part the first 16 habits are completed while my brain wakes up.
LO successfully delivered to school. His classroom has been turned into a camping site. The tables & chairs have been removed and replaced by a huge camping tent including all the camping supplies. The children excitement level is maxed out......I have utmost respect for the amount of thought and effort LO teacher puts into her job. Much more than a job, it is a act of love and caring.
Too much drama this morning. FB can be used for good and/or bad. IMHO, someone deciding to post in a public event and demanding their opinion is listened to and obeyed (without attempting to solve the issue privately) is tiring. Wondering .....could FB create a special place for people who like to gripe, complain and demand to get together? They could all sit around together and amuse themselves with their untruths and whining. Nahhhh......probably not......but it made me smile thinking about it. So what does that say about me?!?!?!? eeek!
Putting that behind me. Next up on my schedule is weekly focus. My focus for this week is the dining room. Today's effort is cobwebs checks, ceiling fan/light deep cleaning, curtains washed, windows cleaned. BBL

boy I went of my diet for 2 days and all on carbs and junk.
Good morning to each of you. It's been a rough morning (and it's pouring which I know we need) ... dd left papers at home, dropped her homework all over the front seat, made it to school EXACTLY on time as any later she would be tardy, she forgot her meds (thus a bit of a cranky teenager), dh... well dh is kind but stating obvious frustrations (cat (old) peed on our laundry), I couldn't find the cat for his vet appointment, called vet then found him, my pants are tight, and I took myself too seriously this morning and now that I can see that I have to smile and realize I am letting my day get away from me rather than the real events.
today: laundry room monday card is back!!!
animal care card is back.
vet appointment soon.

TaDAs!
x s2s
x devo study time
Dh has come and gone.
I'm going to make a menu plan for the week and head to the groc. store. Often, I can punt to Tuesday, but not this week. I only went once last week and we're out of bread, bagels, fruit. . . . .
ToDos:
- finish a.m. routine
- groc. store
- finish Heb. translation
- finish book club book?
- exercise?
- call mom and dad
- 5 - Heb class
- dinner: leftover stuffed pasta shells, salad, sw. potato rolls (an experiment)
- 8:15 - book club
I peeked at your blog over the weekend, blessed, and it looks lovely! I enjoy cooking but find that my dinner prep time is often squeezed tight.

Still in pjs. BUT I have programmed the new phone system. The days are long gone in this house where one can buy a new phone and plug it in. Especially this one which is 2-line. One of our two lines is touch tone, one is pulse. One has call-answer from the phone company, one doesn't. The new phone has a built in answering machine. So I had to set up each of the lines settings (ringer, volume, pulse/tone dialing) and then set up the answering machine message and the answering settings and make sure that was only for the home line. Then for the business line I entered all the call answer settings so we call and pick up messages quickly.
Then I had to test both systems, calling and leaving messages. The cordless handset is charging and can't be set up until tomorrow morning. It will need programming too even though it is part of this system.
When I went to put away the instruction booklet (which I keep in a small drawer under the phone) I found the missing white mini-lights for the plant in the hall. I bought them last November and lost them so was using a set from the Christmas box. These will go back into the Christmas box.
Now to s2s because choir is in less than 2 hours.
