Good morning, Harriet (and everyone else!)

Had a rough night again. Finally took Benadryl about 2:30. Hmmm....must have an auto correct on this as Benadryl just capitalized itself. Forced myself out of bed at 8 and did those 'starter' routines. At least now I'm s2s, meds and bed done. Sipping a shake for breakfast.

Looks like rain, but who knows.

Spent a whole bunch of time trying to disable my onboard mouse. It really interferes with my typing. Forgot how to do it for a while. My thumb must hit the center and moves the screen around. Ahhh....that's better!

Have to get a couple of bills paid and do a little bit around here. Then I'm going to take some pictures over to my dsisil.

Good Morning!

Dee - your quick morning start sounds much like my 16 Tiny Habits. Within the first 30 minutes of waking up, I do stretches, prayers, bed made, digital devices ready for the day, record weight, shower and wash hair, D2B, LOL switched, coffee made, vitamins out, water bottled filled, face/hair/teeth done. By then my brain is awake and my day starts. :)

I only need to leave the house twice today. It is almost a day at home! I'm going to follow my hourly schedule as much as possible.

Was up very, very early, perhaps 4:45 and couldn't get back to sleep. You'd think, like Booksaver yesterday, that I'd use that time wisely but you'd be wrong. I did try to go back to sleep after dh left but was mostly unsuccessful. I have walked the ddogs - Macs is a continuing concern as his walking stamina is way low and I'm afraid Moses doesn't get a very good walk. I've let Macs in at home, and then closed door and took off with Moe for another round, but The Beast isn't very happy according to dh.

I need to be at cemetery for a funeral at 11, and I offered to help with kitchen clean up (shouldn't be much, she says hopefully) so we don't have to call in an employee. I guess I'm getting back to normal there - have rec'd lots of supportive emails and notes.

I have an hour for s2s and some a.m. routine. Tonight dh and I have having barbecue with friends in a nearby community perhaps an hour away. I should plan on Tums tonight.

This afternoon I have a small window of opportunity to begin organizing bills for dsister. We'll call it a desk afternoon, perhaps.

Kathryn, yes, the time changes with the county line west of me. At our old house, we could walk into the next county, and the phones sometimes did the automatic time change.

Please use caution in approaching the new Paper-Tamers' Mid-Year Tidy and Challenges, 2013 thread in the Organization and Simplification Tools Forum. Things are a little out of control in there now, but we have experience - we CAN handle it. There is no need for alarm.

Love your sense of humor, Harriet. Tame that tiger!!!

I am a bit stressed this morning as I face a heart stress test this afternoon. I'm telling myself it is just routine - but age, heredity, and my own medical factors do have some bearing on why I am having it. Just hope I don't fall off the treadmill.

Have to find some comfy clothes to wear and eat breakfast before my 4 hour window closes.

There is no wind this morning so DH is out spraying weeds. We need to get some of them killed before we leave for the summer.

Hmmmmm, Harriet as piqued my interest.

I'm up. Worked out on the bike. This is a big achievement since I HATE the bike. There's a display for intensity and I like to think it is reflecting how intensely I hate the bike. Anyway, that's done.

Then I started in on sorting clothes. I have to wash sweaters so I can't quite finish yet but I've gone through the summer stuff that doesn't need trying on and found one large laundry basket full to donate, plus a few things in the garbage. I still have too many summer clothes but It is better than it was. The winter things will be weeded after they are laundered and possibly again in the fall.

My next task is to s2s and then try on the other clothes to see what I have that fits (tops always fit, the bottoms are always a crap-shoot.)

I'm finally home, finally eating something, and finally able to get on this machine. That's what sort of morning it has been. It's been good, though.

x went for an early (for us) morning jog with dh; got there at 7:35, home by 8:35. Good thing - it is pretty hot for a jog this afternoon. It is currently 78 with clear sunny skies. 8-)
x got Pepper to 9:00 vet appt., a tad late. She is losing hair on the bridge of her nose. Looks odd. Vet couldn't find anything obvious; could be a symptom of a disease, but she is healthy and happy and symptom-free in all other respects. We're going to take the "wait and see" approach. He went ahead and did all her annual check up work as well so I don't need to bring her in this summer. It was too complicated to explain that (1) I like to bring Pepper and Lily in for their check ups together; they seem to calm each other and (2) I actually didn't have time for this today. . . . It is done.
x met dpastor at 10, except I was 13 minutes late. I called ahead of time. I was hoping for a 30 minute conversation; finally walked out at 11:30. He did take a long-ish phone call in the middle of that.

I will stay home until I take dd14 to her oboe lesson. Well, I am going to take the van in to be cleaned.

Looking to the weekend: Dd17 has a passel of girls coming over Friday night for a sleepover. It is a very worthy cause; we're hosting her tutee from the Detroit inner city tutoring program. She has also invited a couple other tutors/girls + the tutee's sister to join us. This has been cleared with the Detroit church that sponsors the tutoring program (our sister church) and the girls' mom. This has also been done before by one of the tutor girls who will be joining us. I will be the taxi cab; I'll be on duty to drive to Detroit to pick up the girls on Friday and then drop them off again on Saturday. 2 or 3 of the tutor girls will ride up with us to Detroit. There will be 6? extra girls total in our house Friday - Saturday, 2 with fairly strong allergies, so I'll need to give the house a good vacuuming Friday afternoon.

There are a LOT of things I need to do to prepare for this. I'm trying to break chores down. Today's goals: get the car cleaned and thoroughly clean the downstairs bathroom, which the girls will be using.

Before I leave at 3:45 for dd14's oboe lesson:
- finish a.m. routine
- laundry catch up
- van to car wash
- clean downstairs bathroom.
- get chicken in the crockpot and potatoes in the oven; we need to eat soon after I return so dd17 can get to an early evening babysitting job.

3 hours and counting. . .Off i go. I might indulge in a diet Dr. P first. I've greatly cut back on diet drinks the past year. I don't drink non-diet soda.

Finished trying on clothes.

I still have to go through a few drawers to move things like long-underwear to other spots but I have to be careful about that since it will be cold in Russia and northern Norway so I can't put away all my winter things. (Not mid-winter here cold, but cold enough on the water that I'll want lots of layers.) Contrasting 30's in June/July with the 80's I'll get in Nashville make my seasonal clothing swap a bit tricky this year!

Also did the ironing and started the laundry. Must hang it up now.

Still haven't had lunch, either. Nothing like trying on a dozen things that will fit 'when I lose 10 pounds' to make one want to start a diet!

First load of laundry went out onto the line before I ate. I ran the sweater load while I ate and just laid them out on towels on chairs on the deck. They'll only have 2 hours of drying time out there but it may be enough, certainly enough that I can hang them to dry for the rest of the time.

Ds is here. He's coming to dinner with us tonight (we are driving a long distance to meet up with dd's godparents and one of their kids, don't know which one but guessing it is J since R is posting on Facebook and is at her job.) He's unloading his car and dusting his room in the basement. Strange things are happening!

Next challenge for me is a bit of paperwork.
