Is your Sat. going by to swiftly?
I need to get a move on before granny duty begins I have things to do places to go and people to see today. Zoom!

Today we need to pick up my rings that have been reworked for our 40 th wedding ann. my gift and pick up some things at the store while we are out and about.

I have some yd. work on my mind as well. How about you is your Sat. going by too swiftly?

Good morning, Nancy! Thanks for getting us started. The rain is coming down swiftly here! I've been up awhile, may go back to bed for an extended rainy day nap.

I need to be moving swiftly here. Skipped physio last night and this morning. Might regret that but things are ok so far.

First load of laundry is on the line, second in the machine, third lined up to go.

Dishwasher is emptied. I cleaned the hot water pot and put it away for the summer. Pulled out the kettle and put it in the water pot's place. No more hot water on tap for tea. On the other hand, with warmer weather, I won't need that as often.

Tidied the dining room.

Ran off the info on the conference. I'll need that for crossing the border when they ask the purpose of the trip.

Need to try and convince the hotel to offer us two more night. It will cost $100 extra but I think we want to be in Nashville for those extra days. It never occurred to me that getting a room on a spring weekend might be hard! But now I know when we'll be arriving. Worst comes to worst, we slow the trip down and spend some time in the Smokey Mountains. Although I imagine a spring weekend might be expensive there too.

Looking at the conference schedule, I can safely skip Friday morning and not miss anything I was anxious to see. Therefore we can start back home a few hours earlier. That will make the drive much more pleasant (I've been dreading that part of the trip, plus this upcoming Monday.)

Got hotel rebooked. No change in the nightly rate for those weekend days. Woot! (Probably because I'm now there for a full week and hotels often have weekly rates.) Couldn't do that online but it was easy to do by phoning the hotel directly.

Phoned the minister's husband and got an update. Ultrasound was clear, therefore nothing really scary is wrong with her but the doctor doesn't see her coming back to work until June 24. Her dh thinks it will be sooner, though. The meds she's on are helping with the primary symptoms but have side-effects that require additional meds so she's frustrated. She usually avoids all medications and tries to let her body heal itself. For one of the side-effects, the most effective drug is also addictive but they've tried non-addictive alternatives without any positive results. He's doing fine and her sisters (she is from a family of 10 or 11) are all helping out with visiting and providing meals, plus his mother lives with them.

That's another big item off my to-do list since I hate making phone calls.

Yesterday I saw people in their winter coats at WM. So strange for the beginning of May.

Yesterday was my birthday and I borrowed a page from 1st grade and brought a box of cookies to share with my co-workers. Oatmeal-of course-make it healthy. Made lots of smiles. DH and Dsons had taken me out earlier in the week at the all-you-can-eat catfish place.

Was going to call my cousin Norma in NY this morning. With our odd work hours, Saturday is the best day to call. But the bed felt so good this morning.......

Listening to the sound track of the Nashville show and I need to dance off to the shower.

Helia, just wait until your dd looks at you from the driver's seat and reminds you that she has "been driving for 10 years, mom". (My dd did that recently when I made a slight comment.)

Laundry is the only thing on my list today.

Third load of laundry is on the line. I've also picked and sent emails to two more churches in order to set up a consultation. I've offered to do both of these in person since they are within 30 minutes of here.

Will nag my former minister about doing one. There's a facilitator up there who is doing the other church in town so they could contact her too.

Dh treated the windshield with the RainAway and then I washed the car. I've also dusted the main floor, cleaned the bathrooms and put my winter clothes back in the storage room.

Now we are off to run errands. Technically, I could just send dh but this way I'll get a break!

I am so sorry that I didn't check our special dates and we missed it. I always hate when that happens but sometimes a date slips thru. That was nice of you to take cookies to share with your coworkers. You are a very special lady, Sadie!
