I was exhausted and headachy by the time I got back home after the 4:30 meeting yesterday at temple. (Mother's house to sort meds and visit, lunch with temple VP, home for a bit to try to rest and see if headache was better, temple cemetery to take photos for 4:30 meeting, picked up dd after dental appointment and got her back home, then right back to temple for the meeting.) We ordered pizza and I went to bed like before 8 p.m. last night.

I haven't had breakfast yet but am going to take the ddogs on out first...or maybe I'll eat a quick boiled egg and then take ddogs walking....

That is a great quote, Twins!

Dh got up this morning with the puppy and let me sleep in a bit. He got to experience the "maniacal Maia" first thing in the morning. Under his watch, she had 2 accidents, escaped her outside pen, and now dh's Tshirt is rather muddy. She is definitely the biggest handful first thing in the morning.

We got a little bit of rain last night and it is gray right now. We might get more. Forecast is for 60% chance rain tomorrow. Our picnic may not happen after all.

Concert last night was nice, though both dh and I were very tired. It was Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin. I know Shawn Colvin better than Mary.

Today is my low-key day of the week. In about 50 minutes, I'll leave to have coffee with a friend, one of the teachers in the moms group and also the children's program director at our church. She is such a wise woman. I always enjoy meeting with her!

I am going NOWHERE tonight. I'm happy about an evening at home.

Dh has a lot of work-related travels coming up. All short trips, though, 2-4 nights; he has become a master at keeping his trips short. He is traveling to Boston next week (I learned about it last night), the following week he has a conference in Austin - and I'm joining him! :) The week after that, he has a trip to Japan. I don't mind the travels like I did when the kids were small. He also traveled longer and more frequently back then.

Good morning, villagers ~

It's been a relatively busy week so far, but I thought I was keeping on top of things until last night. I was blindsided by a complaint about something I thought had been resolved a long time ago.

Very long and somewhat stressful meeting, 2+1/2 hours, and then I had to stop at WM to pick up some groceries afterward. This morning ... I need coffee!

Today is dedicated to working on writing articles for the sewing group newsletter. I've already sent out a couple of Email reminders for info we're missing.

Oh, right, I was going to start making coffee ...

I'm up and s2s.

I've emptied the dishwasher and made my tea. Doing software updates on my computer now.

Ds wants to play today (he has two days off) so is planning to sleep in until 11. He wants me to get my work done by then so I can play with him. Hmmmmm. Lights out was at 12:15 so that's not going to happen! I did sleep really well, though.

A brief moment of panic  when I opened the coffee canister and saw there was not enough to make even 1 pot.  Then I remembered buying a bag of beans last week and found it in the cupboard. Obviously my brain is not in gear this morning and I will need to be very diligent in proofreading anything I write.

I did manage to grind some coffee beans without harming myself or the cats. Hmm, I can see that I'm going to have to take credit for every tiny victory today.

I had to go out to the garage to get something from the car. The radio just said we'll have storms this afternoon, but it's beautiful outside this morning.

Oh, Booksaver, not more storms! We've had a couple hard rains while all this weather stuff was going on. It just seems weird all over the country right now.

Yesterday was kind of a waste. I did get a lot of stuff done at my desk but nothing in the house because of my sore knee. I also had a nagging headache most of the day. Finally took some pain killer last evening and that must have helped. My knee is a bit better today, probably because I stayed off of it a lot yesterday.

So today's plan is to do as many sitting down jobs as I can find around here. I'll update all my spreadsheets and then look around for something else easy to tackle. Not easy, most of the stuff that needs done is on-my-feet stuff; also I need to go shopping and do some work in the garden. I'm wondering how long I can put that stuff off.

Y'all have a nice day.

Bookie, I totally KWYM!
I was blindsided by a complaint about something I thought had been resolved a long time ago.
I need to be at temple at 12:15 for a quick meeting w our outside bookkeeper, then back home to p/u dd and get her to dr appt at 2 or 2:15. Her appt is at 2:30 but she will need to fill out paperwork. She has had a sore foot well over three weeks - she had it looked at while still at school, they X-rayed and there was no break, and they offered her a "boot" which she's been using. It's not getting much better, and I'd like a more definitive answer before she goes off to summer camp (where there's lots of walking) for the summer.

-clear kitchen table
-make bed
-brush teeth, wash face, etc.
-li&t for rest of day
-until time to leave for temple, work on transferring data from April planner (including to-dos) and updating. Also need to add info from yesterday's meetings to to-dos and answer emails.

Chance of strong storms later today here, also.

Good Morning Dear Ladies,

Sunshine here! 8-) 8-) 8-)

Slept until almost 9 today so slow start to the day. But it is a work day so I figured I needed the extra rest.

Have had breakfast and taken care of Dbrother.

Dishwasher is loaded with breakfast dishes.

Need to start lunch.

Back is still hurting so doing slow and gentle movements for awhile. I am a turtle today.

Heard from Dson25 who is visiting NC. He is having a good time.
DH is out doing service calls. He stayed close to home on Monday and Tuesday because of the storms. One of the benefits of being self-employed, you get to set your schedule.

Going to pay a few bills and then go to the kitchen.

Great day to all!

Almost lunch time here and nothing to show for the day. Updating my computer took over an hour. I did multitask and talk on the phone while the updates when through (they were from Lenovo, not Microsoft.) Three reboots later, I'm up and running but in the meantime my music friend phoned all upset because her life is a mess.

She put her dog down today, her father is still in hospital (5 weeks now), her jaw doesn't hurt but she's on daily oxycontin in order to keep it from hurting, and her kidneys are acting up. Kidney pain isn't completely unbearable but she has trouble getting out of the house because of it. It suddenly occurred to me she is on oxycontin so is taking more pain killers than she usually gets when she has kidney pain and yet they aren't controlling the pain. Since her urologist won't respond unless she comes in through the ER, I had ds call the ER to see how backed up it was and told her to go in right now and point out that she has increased white blood cell count, is on antibiotics that have done nothing for the pain and the pain is on top of the painkillers she has in her system. Hopefully she'll get an answer.

Ds is off for a run now and I'm going to prepare the service for tomorrow.
