Let's make it a 'sensational' day in all our worlds -at least as much as we can. Know Harriet's weekend is quite sensational with the family all around. Loved the description of your gifts, btw.

Dh is already up and about. Took his ‘old’ cart out for the fun of it. I’ve had my meds and found the “donate life” wrist band that dh gave me in the hospital the other day. Knew I had taken it off almost unconsciously. He’s worn it ever since our DShelley passed away four years ago. He was aghast last year when he cut through the original one when he was cutting off his hospital bands and so started wearing a new one.

Today is the walk for our Children’s Hospital with our “Team Zoe” taking part. Dh and I will wear our t-shirts, but won’t be going to the walk. Hoping any storms hold off until after their walk. DGS8 has a lacrosse game at 11 in a nearby town so dh would like to go sit & watch. Think that means I’m going too –since he can’t drive yet.

DS-R decided last night that he’d sleep here in their RV Monday night so he can ride into the hospital with us Tuesday morning. DDIL will take dgs8 to before school care at 6:30 and come in then. DGS can’t be left there until 6:30. Haven’t heard just what ds-A is doing yet.

Dee Thanks for the bright start to the day!

Ds came home unexpectedly early. He worked his shift and had planned to take a yoga class but when the night was over, he didn't want to have to wait another 90 minutes until yoga started so just came home. He's has some bread and is bed now. I'll see him in the evening.

I think I'll have my leftovers for lunch and plan a dinner he might enjoy. That way, if he does wake up, he won't have to cook for himself.

Dh will be home around 9:30 tonight. Ds and I will meet him at the airport and then ds will go into work for 11.

Since ds is sleeping (and his bedroom is under the kitchen/family room) I got the vacuuming, most dusting and the floors washed last night. Also cleaned his bathroom. Today I'll clean the upstairs and do laundry. Plus finish and practice the service. Since I need to keep quiet, I might go grocery shopping, or I might do paperwork if there's any leftover time.

I just "dared" to change my time to the correct one on the board. Think this computer recognizes this site now. I had SO much trouble getting logged in when I first got this new Windows 8. All seems to be ok now.

It's really clouding up out there. Think the walk is at 9, so hoping they get it in before rain arrives. DD printed the T-shirts for our team. Had to do one for dgs10 months in a child's XS -it will probably come to his ankles. Seems so funny to see this little body toddling all over the place! Our shirts have drawing of a little girl with angel wings, "Team Zoe" at the top and "celebrating life" underneath. DDIL wanted pink in her memory but some of the guys preferred a different color so they went with a nice yellow. Guess she also purchased a lot of yellow balloons -so I guess her color will evermore be yellow.

Time to do something about the kitchen counter -dh has sufficiently covered it with papers, etc. He asked me this morning "what were my dates for disability last year?" Uh, right! I may have written down when he went in the hospital & first started disability last year, but have no idea when that ended. Guess he'll have to wait until Monday & ask the secretary up at the shop. I have no clue. Know he was on disability for a couple of months. She should have the dates (she says hopefully). Want to get those papers filled out and sent to the Dr. ASAP. It takes a while for them to be processed.

That's a good goal, LynLee! I need to do that once again. I am slowly finding things to toss -things I've figured out I really don't use. Some go in the G oodwill bag. I have a pretty good start on one over in dd's MH. I've just been putting things in the car as I come across them. Finding it easier to part with old clothes.

Answered the phone & this just sat. Now I have no idea what I was going to say. Dh has gone with a co-worker to do a minor fix on a swing. When he gets back we'll leave for dgs8's lacrosse game. Hope it's not a long walk in to where they're playing.

Rain has held off so far. DDIL#2 just texted me an adorable picture of DDIL#1 and dgs10months. His 'walk' shirt looks so cute on him. (he's DS-A's & DDIL#2's). DD will love getting that picture!

I slept well last night. I was so tired from not sleeping well the night before. Being able to sleep well is a blessing!

Harriet - How fun to read about your birthday celebrations. Love the gifts that were selected with much love and so thoughtful.

Yesterday I set up a 8x11" spiral notebook to use as my temporary holding spot for a daily journal & several on going projects. I found myself struggling to keep it all the details in my head. The pen/paper helps to think though the details while writing. I still have my "Hip Pad" (3x5" notebook) in my pocket at all times, but that paper isn't large enough for what I currently need. OneNote remains my favorite permanent spot for all these details, but when i get overwhelmed I find myself returning to pen/paper.
I'm sure some smart person somewhere has compared the different way our brains work when capturing data on the computer vs paper. I don't know the WHY's of it, but I do know that sometimes my brain thinks in a different way when using pen/paper to capture details.

ANYway - I'm using a normal lined spiral notebook with 100 pages. The first 4 pages are used as my index. the index pages lines are numbered. Then I put numbers 1-96
on the top right corner of each page. As I use a page, then the subject is written in the index corresponding number. That makes it easy and quick to locate all my information since the notebook is being used to capture several categories of information. Not sure how long I will use this method, but it is working well for me now.

Breakfast was biscuits and omelettes. I checked the points before eating any biscuits and decided it wasn't worth it to me, however the guys loved each and every one of them.

Hello Dear Ladies,

We've had a few small tornados in our area. Thursday night WM called code black and one of the tornados tore up an area half a mile from there. Power lines down and roofs tore off.

Couldn't believe the number of people who showed up at WM thinking it is a safe place to be. One lady brought her dog with her. I don't think it that safe to be there.

Found a place that will work on my brother. Something kept popping up in my head that the place that refused him had said. The lady said they wouldn't work on him because the first place didn't do any x-ray and send it over, said that was a message to them that brother was not a good patient to accept.

So called first place and told them what she said. First place said they didn't do x-rays for a lot of people, nothing meant by it but second place admitted to them they didn't want to work on brother because of his mental retardation.

Really felt the sting of discrimination for a couple of minutes but then felt that if they didn't want to work on him,that's fine we don't want them working on him! First place gave us the number of another place and they were extremely nice and said they don't have a problem working on him. God is good.

Have to get ready for work now.

I'm making progress. Upstairs is now clean. Ironing is left to do but the board is away from dh's side of the bed now.

One load of laundry is on the line but I have to watch the weather closely because it is deep cloud. Not sure how much drying will take place but it was worth a try. Second load is in the washer, third is lined up. It is small so I may wait until ds wakes up and ask him to add some things to it.

I'm going to bike over to the store now. I have a parcel and the post office closes in a few minutes.

Good morning to Sensational Saturday and a new month! Somehow all of our great threads popping up here this morning have me motivated. My fitbit is recharging to be ready to go soon, and I might even log my food at WW today.

Lovely evening - services at which the temple bd and the (moving away) VP Admin were honored, and I also made a little announcement with a blessing that Thursday was the 5th anniversary of our Rabbi's ordination. After services, dh, dd and I went to dinner with dfriends that we haven't seen much of in forever. Very nice restaurant that dd had never been to - she tried fried calamari and pizza with truffle oil for some new experiences. Home on the late side but it was all good. (Had something happened to both dh and I before dkids were 18, these friends would have raised our kids.)

Today Macs has a PT appointment...

Oops, wrote this earlier and then rabbi's wife dropped by for a visit and this sat here...I'm heading out with Macs now...
