I am up with a feeling of being on vacation. There are no appts or meetings on my calendar today. YES!
Dishes are 100% caught up.
Duds are 100% caught up
Dinner is 100% planned & prep'd
Desk is being ignore while I bask in the SUNNY moment of relaxation
DSon will be arriving either tonight or tomorrow. Earlier this week, he told his Grandmother (DMom) to start making a list of things for him to do for her while he is here. I peeked at the list a couple days ago and saw he will be hauling/spreading a truck load of gravel and taking her chair shopping.
She recently gave away 2 of her living room chairs to a family who was starting from scratch. Since DDad's death, DMom has been tackling and accomplishing project after project. These project are things that didn't HAVE to be done, so were put off while DDad was so sick. She is an amazingly strong willed lady and has almost completed all of her projects. Every inch of her home, garage, out building, gardens, etc has been organized and scrubbed clean.
After DSon finishes here (in court) on Monday or Tuesday, he will grab a flight to join DDIL, DGS6 and DGD2 where ever they are. DDIL is driving the family vehicle toward their vacation spot. She thinks she can get 15 hours of driving in and hopefully pick up DSon at an airport somewhere in Georgia or Alabama. Hopefully their plan to support our needs and still have a long planned vacation will work out. I'm thankful they are so adaptable.

Happy Anniversary Mr. & Mrs. Sunny!
Today I've made coffee fed the chickens and mixed the fruit in to the Jell-o salad for the Father's day bbq- pot luck this afternoon. I'm coughing and feeling rough not sure if I'm going to it or not yet but h. can take what I made if not.
I am looking for iris with variegated leaves no luck yet, but my search continues.
I need chicken feed h. is going to pick that up for me with the truck it's next door to his work and he has to work today part of the day.
Time to journal have breakfast and get on with my day. I got up early today but now I"m glad I did I"m coughing less now so that's good.

Good morning, dear friends.
LOL, Sunny, you chose a handle that let's us put you right into titles quite handily! Hope ya'll have a great day.
OKay, what a smart set of moves on the part of dson and ddil.
I was awakened before my 6:30 alarm (set so that I could wash my hair) by my ddad. He wanted to start his day very early because he sees the sun coming up earlier and doesn't realize the time is nowhere near his usual. So instead of getting to wash my hair, I took care of his morning routine first. 1.5 hours later, when he announced he was going back to bed, I realized it no longer made sense to wash it with so many other responsibilities and people-chores, people-socials looming. I've spritzed it with water and put it up in a scrunchie and just hope I will look acceptable at the wedding. At least the color will still look fresh - I'm telling myself that that's good, anyway.
We need to place a clock in my ddad's room, but I'm not sure that's going to make a difference, since he has both a watch and a phone and there are clocks throughout the house, but he often pays them no attention.
I've done a good spif of the front bathroom. Feel so much better about that, since it was delayed for sure. Need to think about the kitchen now.
I'm a little dismayed that we haven't heard a peep from ds and ddil about traveling to the wedding. I know it was their anniversary Thursday, but surely they aren't off on vacation or something and going to blow off this wedding. Sigh. I do NOT need to hear from my dfirstmil on this subject. Everyone will come to ME to ask why ds isn't there. Dd33 is already saying she is going to try to deflect the attention away from herself and onto her cousin the groom, who is usually invisible to their grandmother. I think dd33 believes it will be fine if ds doesn't show up, so that their cousin may finally get to be the favorite for one hour. She says as soon as ds walks into their grandmother's eyesight, he will turn into the golden boy, as usual. Still, my dnephew deserves his family around him on his wedding day, and if I get a hint that he feels slighted, I may be irked, and if Mama ain't happy....
Oh, thank you for the Father's Day reminder, Nancy! I wanted to wrap a present this a.m.!

TADA -
** veg garden watered.
** dozen garlic pulled, washed and put to dry
** greens picked, washed, stems removed, chopped and put into freezer
** chatted with DFriend as he brought our trailer back (they had borrowed it yesterday). They have been working all night installing an A/C unit & duct work in new store they are building. It is just tooo hot to work during the day especially when touching metal pieces.
** furkids taken care of
** biscuits rising. I just figured up the points - 5 points each! I'm choosing to not spend my points eating them, but the guys always look forward to Saturday morning biscuits.
Next up -
** Desk chores - process MPB receipts

Good morning!! You ladies are impossible to keep up with. You've already gotten so much done already! Here, it is 9:30, and I have gotten up, fed the cat, put in a few last edits on my resume, checked email, and had a cup of tea. Not too much! But it does sound like more than I think it is when I write it out. . .
I am very impressed by your dmom's industry, even at her age, OK. Wow! I could learn from her. Glad ds will help her.
Hope relatives are happy at the wedding and dnephew can get the attention he deserves on this day, Harriet.
Hope you feel better, Nancy.
Last night, dkids and I went to a favorite middle eastern restaurant with S and R. Then, dkids and I did an experiment; we used redbox to rent a video. It was very easy and pretty convenient; there's one about 10 minutes away from us. Actually, there are 2 across the street from each other about 10 minutes away from us. I wish one of them was located a bit closer. We saw Brave, and it was enjoyable. Dd17 had seen it before.
Dh will be home early this afternoon. I do not yet have a Father's Day gift for him, so I need to do that. Not sure what to get. I might go with a nice bottle of red wine. He does enjoy a glass of red wine with his evening meal or after dinner once in a while. He started trying red wines when he found out his cholesterol was high. A regular glassful is supposed to help reduce cholesterol levels, although it didn't help him enough and he had to go on meds anyway. Even though he is an obsessive runner and weighs around 140 pounds (5'6"). I think. Maybe that is high for him. . . . He is not overweight, and he is athletically built, though short.
I'm going to get the a.m. routine going. I'm not sure how to schedule a jog since I've had a cup of tea already, waiting on dd15 to get up since she borrowed my earbuds to listen to her ipod while mowing yesterday. . . . Now, she is up.
still waiting on last 2 grades for dd15, but I think she will be fine. Dd17 pulled off stellar grades once again.

Oy, just rec'd phone call from nursing home that dsis' placement with roommate is not working....they are moving her to another room. Also dsis wanting to smoke, I suspect will have to give in on this issue.
On the planning next week issue, I had a cousin pass away in K-town on Thursday, but funeral will not be until next Saturday. Was holding Tuesday-Wed open hopefully for a trip to see dsis, and the other will have someone here hanging heavy pictures for us. Dmom has dr appointments on Monday and Thursday also.
Nodding with helia:

I'm up.
Managed to sleep until 4 in my own bed (but right on the edge because I can't move in the water bed - nothing to push against.) Woke up in pain (1 hour after I should have had pain pill) and dh helped me move to the recliner built into the couch. I slept there until 8:15. He slept in as well. Hopefully he'll feel better since he's been having rough, worried, nights.
I had dreams last night, not good ones, but dreams are preferable to a drugged sleep. It was also lovely to know that no-one was going to wake me after 6 to draw blood. It took two tries and two nurses (one massaging my arm and the other gently tilting the container back and forth so the blood in it wouldn't clot, blocking the line) to get enough for yesterday. She kept looking at it and was excited when they got to the 'd' on the container (about 1/6th full.)
I'm going to try to keep my drugs at 9, 3, 9 & whenever through the night. That should work best for sleep/naps and in effect when I'm moving for meals. I'm still taking 2 each time but will taper that off toward night time if I feel I can do so.
Dh says that I'm moving more confidently and using longer sentences so not as short of breath.
I've had tea and toast. Will have cereal and fruit in an hour but am going to try and shower next. I'll wear a sun dress today so I can avoid having much pressure on my tummy. Most of my clothes were tight before this and my tummy is bigger now.
My hand is still swollen from the IV so not sure if my rings will go on yet. We'll see after the shower.
Dh will take me for a walk after the shower. I'm to do frequent, short, walks and I find I get less stiff after walking so see that is a good plan.

I am paralyzed. There is so much to do here that I am overwhelmed. My body isn't cooperating with low BS and tummy troubles.
I need to get my head on straight and get the BGS working. I think I will start at one end of the house and work to the other - first taking things to the MH (even if we have to go out there to use it) and then cleaning.
I have such a feeling of angst about this trip. I just want to stay home and put the covers over my head.
