WEDNESDAY IN OUR VILLAGE

Obviously I couldn't think of a title for today..............

Been awake for quite a while but just finally had breakfast. Sipping coffee, trying to gain momentum.

Twins, I would surely vote to send the glow sticks! Even adults here enjoy all that sort of thing. Just plain having fun!

Can barely believe the people who 'came out of the woodwork' to help DS-R & DDIL get all moved to their new site. Involved a lot of 'doing'.

Visit to Dr. last night was uplifting. Think we both feel a little better. Dh goes back to the cardiologist on Monday and he will then evaluate his new medicine started on Monday night.

Need to get a move on and get things done while it's still cool(ish).

I've got to find a better place for my computer while dh is doing this puzzle! Have the laptop sitting on top of dh's puzzle board, making it too high, again. Relatively few spots in an RV even if it is a park model :?

Got trapped in our bathroom this morning (early -too early) when a guy whom dh can never get away from came by this morning. (well before 8) I usually take all my things in with me. This morning? Of course not! So I sat in there for a good 20+ minutes.

Next up is to get 2 days' of dishes done. Never got a chance yesterday. Can't make up my mind just what I want to tackle today. It's one of those 'but first' things. Want to do the things tucked under chairs by our couch, but first I have to clean out the front cabinets, but first............ Don't want to create a mess because the visiting nurse is coming sometime today.

Wednesday in my village has brought a reversal of 3 years ago with a PM leadership spill.
The vanquished has spoken. The new head of party is yet to front cameras. He still has a "they did me wrong 3 years ago" view.- as he speaks I update this.
Who knows what the GG (Gov general ) will do , and how the hung parliament votes tomorrow. It has a little way to run yet.
Election is due in/by a few months.

I'm sitting here freezing . Need to move
Alarm is set for the morning. Fracture clinic. 8.45 so an early start for me.
Person who had agreed to drive me rang tonight and opted out, so rang the one who showers me and she will take me. One less worry.

lol

maybe I ort get out of pjs and into sweat pants and whatever fits on top so I can call myself dressed tomorrow.

Waving to Dee and all to call in today

Just love to see LynLee's phrases. Hope all goes well at the fracture clinic today. When I tore my shoulder apart so badly quite a few years ago -I broke and tore it apart on Monday, went home from ER until next day to see orthopedist and then it was Friday before I could return to the hospital & they could operate. So I know the angst you have been in. Those were torturous days! Feel for you.

Wonder where dh has gotten to. Likely he took a 'short' stroll and is sitting (or more likely STANDING) talking to someone.

Have the dishes done, now to decide where to center my labors......

Oh, wow, Lynlee, a big shift then, and certainly the conversations will all be about this for a while. Hope you sleep well.

Lilac noticed that LurkyLou checked on us. Yes, we do miss her.

Dd14 thinks glow sticks will be fine, Twins' Mom.

lucylee, in theory it would be a given that a third of proceeds and responsibility go to you and your brother. Perhaps they are thinking of work to be done and wondering if you and brother realize it's a third on your shoulders. Maybe the way to break the ice is to volunteer to accomplish some chores.

Congratulations on the cooking success, Cowinkie.

This made me think of Dee, trying to figure out computer and seating.

Ugh, I have no cartoon (or smile) for a visitor who stays too long, though, and leaves you indisposed. What a situation.

Bad dreams - HRH and I were both subject to them last night, Cowinkie, and we hadn't taken sleep aids, so be aware a sleep aid might be innocent if you notice any. I think the quote from yesterday about heat and humility explains our problem here. My dreams had the police after us, also a large orange roach, and I had quadruplets. Now that I think of it, there were explosives, too. Good grief, I need to turn up the AC.

I'm glad I'm doing the follow up to the sleep apnea on Monday, because I slept in until 9 a.m. this morning. I remember coughing a lot and tossing and turning with a stuffy nose during the night, and getting up to feed ddogs and let them out, but I just kept sleeping. Considering I had a substantial nap yesterday I certainly am sleeping a lot.

I will send the glow sticks in dd's package today, then. I'm guessing if her girls don't care for them, they can be passed down to younger campers? OTOH, I'm hoping that the camp authorities don't confiscate them. I do think they would be fun at the outdoor, summer camp.

I also have a summery long white skirt and a white blouse to send to dd - Shabbat evenings at camp are dress up and all wear white or khaki.

I'm going to change clothes and walk the ddogs before doing anything else. They are anxious and the day is heating up!

Harriet, between the cartoon and the description of your dreams, I enjoyed a good laugh.

I need to go mow before it gets any hotter. Dd1 and I have already walked.

Good Morning!

(((LynLee))) I hope today's appt gives you some information and relief.

Today's PODA -
** LO swim lesson
** Church. Our little church is on overload for this Saturday. We have planned a all-church work day doing renovations at the Pregnancy Resource center. We have already announce that the church will serve breakfast and lunch to the volunteers (expecting 75-100). The "regular" food people are already obligated to this event. Meanwhile DFriend passed away and her family has planned her funeral @ our church for Saturday morning with lunch for the family following.  The two 'events" are a good 30 miles apart so feeding the two groups in one location isn't possible. I'm sure it will all work out.....somehow. We can put a plan together tonight at church and work the details out through emails the next 2 days.

Some dream, Harriet! :o

Just cleaned out 2 of the front cabinets and was able to put away a few more things in there.

Insurance Co. called dh and we were able to set up direct deposit for his short term disability. We'll be able to extend it after September 1st if we need to do that. Never were called & had to go with a check last year. Noticed it's a different insurance company this year. It's not a lot, but better 'than a stick in the eye' as DH says. It's certainly better than nothing all summer & I know from the taxes we did in Feb. that only the first $1,000 is taxable -the rest is tax exempt.

Time to clean off the coffee table. Think I have some "left overs" from cleaning out the cabinets. :?
