We are moving along on the train very fast. Faster than the internet connection!
We are in the last car of the train heading for Toronto. Everything went smoothly this morning. Our meeting today includes one of our contacts in Ottawa and he's on the train with an empty seat next to him so he and dh are 'talking shop' while my friend and I are watching the scenery.

Good morning, villagers ~
Sewing group meeting is tonight. Therefore most of today will be focus on prep work for that.
In addition to the official admin work for the meeting, I want to see if I can find some things in my supplies that I'll never use. I can take them to the meeting and put them on the "freebie" table to see if anyone else can use them.

Today is the second full day of the Market. Everything went well yesterday except we ran out of coffee just as the coffee team had closed up. Will order another pot made before they close today.
Today is also the day of the big donut bid. Last year one sold for $500. In all we raised over $2,200 for CARE. That is our assisted living center for the Escapees.
I stayed home from the entertainment last night as I craved quiet and alone time. Puttered on the computer and read my kindle. It was a great re-newing time for me.
Time to go let the coffee people in.

Good morning! I see Dee's light on so I'm hoping we'll get an update.
Have a great trip, Kathryn!!
I LOVE those quotes, OK. So helpful for those of us who are afraid of failure. Thank you for posting them!
Hope the prep work goes well, bookie.
I thought you were traveling, MT. Maybe not? After scrapping Santa Fe so late, I think we are going to go to Glacier for our week vacation this month!! It looks like camping is our best option at this point. Let me know if you have any suggestions of sights to see there.
Today is off to a busy, but late, start. It has been a struggle to get to bed before midnight this summer. So far:
x s2s
x 2nd mug of tea
x gone with dh to take my van in for last repairs + oil change
x dryer vent cleaners are here
I think dd15 is gathering paperwork to finally get her driving learner's permit.
PODA:
x drop off van
- SOS for learner's permit with dd15
/ a.m. routine
/ dryer vent cleaners here
- laundry, I'm always behind it seems; now, dd17's laundry from her trip last week is piled up. I do need to teach her to do it herself. . .
- dfriend's coat in the mail; it ended up in the bottom of our day pack during our hike with dfriends in Ohio on Saturday
- take dh to and from his office
- groc. store; it now looks like we will have 4 guests for dinner tonight: ski friends 2 dds (almost 17 and almost 19, both friends with dd17) and S and R. The 2 girls are sleeping over, I believe. This means we may not be able to have leftovers tomorrow night as planned, esp. since dfriend A has a standing invitation to join us on Wed. evenings - which means we need to have enough food for 6 tomorrow night. So, I may be cooking again tomorrow night, something simple as we leave town the following day. I do enjoy having people over, as you probably know. Also, an open standing date with dfriend A is a good way to keep up with her a bit as she struggles with various things in life and tends to pull away.
- Target?
- phone call; I've been trying to get ahold of a woman in our church to ask her about our moms group child care coordinator position. We are in the midst of phone tag. I want to get her response so I can know where we are at -- and let steering committee know.
- bathrooms cleaned
- finish cover letter edits and get resume in the mail to at least 2 places
- hopefully, pick up van with dh
- cook: chicken with artichoke hearts in a parmesan-sherry sauce, rice, steamed asparagus, maybe salad and fruit too, parmesan bread.
- dinner guests
This is way more than enough to keep me out of trouble today.

Good morning everyone.
I'm looking for an update from Dee about yesterday doc appt. I expect she is on party overload from celebrating Mr Dee's birthday.
Hmmmm....hmmm...hmmm. I did post that information yesterday, but in looking back to cuop I don't see it anywhere!

Evidently I lost a post. Almost think I know what happened. Pretty sure I didn't go in and disable the onboard mouse & most likely as I hit submit, the heel of my hand most likely hit that. Now to see if I can repeat it.
Dh was barely navigating by the time we went to the cardiologist. He was scheduled for a stress test next Thursday and that is still on for the moment. His heartbeat was down to 45! (this after it had been 80-90 and irregular). So Dr explained that the 1 med they prescribed when he first left the hospital (Metotoprolol tatrate) which was a 1/2 pill am & pm. Family Dr increased that 1 whole am & pm a week later. Then of course he was back in the hospital the 18-20th & they put him back on Lasix for fluid and changed his blood thinner from P lavix to X eratol. Then last Monday they added a new pill (400mg) that also was to slow his heart rate as did the Metotoprolol. Now his heart rate had fallen way too low explaining his extreme fatigue, dizziness, wobbliness, etc etc. SO -right now he is off the Metotoprolol entirely and only taking 200mg of the new med. I also gave him m elatonin last night and he slept the best he has in weeks. Today he almost seems to be a new man. Almost goofed and had the Meto in his pill box for this morning. Knew it didn't look right so had to go through everything -not in the pills for the rest of the week. Dr did explain it will take some time for the new medicine regimen to kick in totally as they have a 1/2 life & will take a bit of time to get out of his system. But already we can see a big change.
DS-R, DDIL#1, DGS8 and DD all came over to celebrate dh's birthday. He had so many well wishers yesterday -from here, FB, from the campground and visitors -just enough visitors. He really felt honored by all the wishes. DD tied a huge bunch of balloons outside -1 that says "get well" and the rest B'day wishes. Someone else had a put a big sign out front wishing him a Happy. So, on a day he felt really crummy, he was also very happy. DD wants to have a big celebration for him at some point but he has thwarted that for the time being. He is also a 50-year cancer survivor this year. (He had Hodgkins Disease and a prognosis of 8 months to 2 years way back when.) So every year is a big blessing.
Nurse is coming today and I'm sure will chastise dh for not calling her this weekend.
DS-R & DDIL gave dh pictures for his b'day. Best presents ever. One is of DS & DGS -came out just beautiful!
Need to get busy and get my "chaos" removed.

Today - a friend came over early to drive me (in my car to charge it) to a support group.
made an appointment to see her gp
caught the bus to town.
gp. also had a tetnus jab. got script, referral to pdoc. I'm not sure I have warmed to him/gp, but neither did he annoy me.
radiology elbow check up. couldn't put my arm the usual way because of the shoulder break. So hope it is good enough for the radiologist to read.
chemist
few groceries
bus home.
I need pu xrays tomorrow and return to gp.
I am soo out of fitness. I was stuffed half way to the bus stop.
ran into gym owner. lol - she said she hadn't seen me lately. She will check my membership was put on hold when I rang in 1st week.
I surely hope I don't have any need for surgery or weird elbow treatment.
Dee - just checking on DH . I do hope getting his meds straightened out will sort out all his bothers.

Dee, it was wonderful to read that your dh almost feels like a new man after the medicine change. I am praying after this bump in the road, that his recovery gets back on track.
My dsisil told me that the book Happy, Happy, Happy by Phil Robertson, the duck master was what dd1 needs to read to deal with her dd. The library didn't have it, but I seen it at Walmart. I bought it and dd1 took it today to read. She said she will read it as quickly as possible, because I probably need it too, to deal with dd2. That is for sure. Dgd16 and dd2 act a lot alike. They both drive each other crazy by the way they act and would never believe that they act that way too. At least dgd16 has an excuse, she is a teenager, dd2 isn't. Tomorrow is dd2s dds 17th birthday. I wonder if she will get over this and have something for dgdtobe17s birthday.
Dm called last night to tell me she was home from the reunion and to again complain that I didn't go. She can't seem to let go of anything and I will hear about it forever. How do I know this? She still complains about the reunion in 1992 that dd2 and I didn't go to. Dh and dd1 were working and never planned to go. Dd2 wasn't feeling well so we stayed home and I get tired of hearing about it, 21 years later.
Dd1 and I have walked. I need to color my hair, shower, make out a grocery list and head to the store.
