Good morning everyone! As you can see, I have stayed up too late and am able to start the thread. A rare event for me, as mornings and I do not get along and try not to see each other. I have GOT to remember to call the vet somewhat later today. Not a problem, just shots for dFosterCat11.

ty for the opening Elizabeth
Today there was the ct scan and fracture clinic.
I have a new around my back 2 loop sling.
Showed my elbow xrays as well.
results -
Nothing obviously broken on the elbow as per radiology, though bruising is there, and the arthritis that I was aware of. Even so - treatment would still be the same to retain use of my elbow.
The shoulder break - not quiet in the right spot (bone is still stuffed in the ball a little), but healing all the same. Surgery not required as might make things way worse. Probably will never be 100%. I'll just have to see what I can do. It wasn't 100% to start with.
I have had a 3rd explanation of exercises to do. All explained differently. with additional detail. so new to me.
Rtn visit 3 wks.
I looked in the op shop and didn't see a long sleeve cotton blouse I wanted.
I caught the bus home. The drivers are great to let me off at my corner a few houses away.
gratitudes
It is a relief know there's no need for surgery.
to have the sling replaced ( I was using a shawl and a fancy sliding knot I adapted as other one was too short.)
sunny day today
friend - nurse delivered me to the hospital for her 7am start.
dog came back inside so we could leave him inside when he bounced outside when it was just me wanted out the door. (friend said he had the look of her son - thinking of causing mischief.) He is a cooperatives if he wants to be dog.
Sending healing to Kathryn - My Dee - self indulgently - me. Others with friends and family in need.
Especially thinking of the Harriets today ...
there are many needs in the village today.
I must go wash dishes. get my day wound up.

Lynlee: it is not self indulgent to send healing thoughts to yourself. You are in charge of yourself and if you are not healed it is much harder to participate in the healing of others.

Doc just came in. I'm NOT scheduled for an ERCP today. (what????!!!!) He wants to give me another day to get better on my own (I seem to be getting worse) and then he'll do another round of diagnostic tests. His goal had been to get me well enough to go home and come back later for the ERCP as an out patient. Given my work schedule, I'm not comfortable with that. I'm not comfortable going home with the level of drugs I am on or the lack of nutrition I'm allowed to take in.
Yes, I'm very upset at this point.
Oh, and I don't know if my 'nothing by mouth' order has been lifted. If I'm not getting any tests today, I can't see why I can't at least drink water.

How frustrating, Kathryn; getting different stories from different docs. Lynlee, glad that surgery isn't on the horizon for you and that things are healing/progressing. And hoping that Mr. Dee's recovery is continuing.
Thinking of Harriet and family today.
Quiet day for today. I had left today and tomorrow mostly quiet in case dd was home for the interim period between session 1 and 2. I need to check in w dentist to see if I can get in soon - have the edge of a tooth that seems to be wearing unevenly.

Kathryn - that's irritating
Hope something gets sorted for you.
blessings all
dishes are washed at last. cold here tonight. I have put a chant on cd...
I'm not at all sure about this new sling arrangement. my fussy sensitive self finds it irritating.I may end up back in the shawl one tonight depending, or just have it round my neck not my back. It annoys my elbow and bruising
Going to set up bed in my couch "nest"
goodnight.

(((Hugs)))) to those healing.
(((Kathryn))) - My memory of DH pancreatitis attack was days spent in hospital with IV and nothing but clear liquids by mouth. The doc wanted his digestive system shut down and given time to heal. #Not fun
I miss being highly productive and getting things done in several categories. I am going to attempt getting back on my "normal" hourly schedule today. I'm going to be gentle with myself as I transition back to it. I'm setting my goal low so it is easily met. I will be very pleased if I manage to follow 50% of the hourly schedule. I want to be energized by success.

What is frustrating is that this is the doc who ordered the nothing by mouth after midnight. If I wasn't having a procedure today, why would he do that? If I wasn't having a procedure today, why would the weekend doc and the nursing staff all tell me I was?
He told me just now that he'll do a fleet enema, move me up to full fluids (first he said full meals and then backtracked) and then tomorrow I'd have an ultrasound and x-ray. The nurse just told me all three are to happen today.
Oh, and he wants me off and walking around. But, I can't walk around while under the effects of the enema and I can't be off walking around since the tests happen when there is a whole in the schedule. Unless I can convince them to give me a pager and I'll return to my room.
Ds had invited me to come down with him while he had breakfast but I pointed out I wasn't strong enough and watching him eat wouldn't be fun at all. Good thing I didn't go because the doc showed up moments later. I think my definition of walking around and theirs is different. Walking the halls is not pleasant, you feel like you are constantly in the way. But as soon as I leave the wing, they have no way to find me even if I'm still on hospital grounds.
I've had some ice water and my drugs are kicking in again. And lots of tears. Dh is working on getting here as fast as possible.

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the start, Elizabeth!
((((Kathryn)))) -not fair, not fair! Thinking about you this morning (and I too, figured you'd soon be on your way for the ECRP!!!) May things be on an upswing from here??!!
Harriet & family are heavy on my heart on this morning. Praying for a good transition to a "new" normal for all of them, especially dHarriet!
I'm setting my goal low so it is easily met.
Think that would be a good statement for me to try today as well, Okay. Seems like I'm barely getting anything done anyway. Did take dd up to do her loads of laundry yesterday. Me? I'm too lazy to do more than 1 load at a time it seems. Thinking somewhat of doing a load today. MAYBE.
Dh's bp is quite worrisome at this point. Mostly 160's over low 100's at night and in the morning. But today even a couple of hours after his bp meds. Nurse is supposed to call today so we'll see what she says. He also had a couple of bouts yesterday when he felt his heart beating fast/hard. Today he finally says, "Wonder if my heart was in defib during those times."

He's to see the surgeon tomorrow and the cardiologist (for a stress test) on Thursday. Have a feeling something may happen before then (as in seeing cardio or his gp).
Dh has gone out for a walk -against my better judgment -did ask him to call me & I'll pick him up if he feels any distress. Think I'm worn out from all the weeks of stress with this. I do know that a pacemaker may be a strong possibility.
Think I'll get my hair washed shortly -think I have to turn the water heater on first.
Want to take ds's cart back to his house today. Hmmm -I always seem to refer to them as "house" when in reality it's an RV. But it is our "house".

Good morning! Wow, lots going on here. I read about ((Harriet))'s loss yesterday. So sad. . . So glad she has such a wonderful supportive family around her. So sorry to hear of Kathryn's being in the hospital and still in pain and still waiting on a procedure. I wish I were closer so I could come visit and chat - or read to you or whatever would be helpful. (((HUGS))) Glad dh and ds are there for you. It sounds like Lynlee is healing. So glad Dee's dh has a nurse to call on him - regularly, it seems. Glad you get a couple quiet days, Twins. So, dd is not coming home btwn. sessions? Thanks for starting us off Elizabeth! I hope you got good rest last night. I'm trying to get back to "normal" today too, OK. You are always so productive - have you been sick? (I haven't been cuoping here regularly.)
Trip was good. Wedding was fun. We got to reconnect with old friends. I must say, the style and music at the wedding made me feel really old - or traditional or something. It was beautifully done, just not exactly what I'm used to. And some of the dance music was. . well. . . dh and I didn't even know how to dance to it. It wasn't all that way, and we did dance and had a great time.
Visit with family was good. Dbro took my kids around town while we were at the wedding. Visiting with dparents was good; we saw them a lot on Friday. We never bade them a proper good bye on Saturday as I thought (1) we might be back after the wedding reception and (2) that dbro might bring the kids by during his time with them - but no, neither happened. I think dmom was a bit miffed at that, and I felt bad about it. But other than that, the visit was good. Ddad actually went to a movie with us!! He never goes to the movies. We all went to see Monsters University, which was a very mediocre movie imho. It did have some bright spots, too.
Done:
- s2s
- went with dh to take his car in to get worked on - again; when they replaced the muffler last week, they didn't do something correctly.
- emails - checked (nothing interesting) and sent one out
PODA:

- groc. store
- take dh to and from his office
- DPC
- finish book club book
- finish application to CC job and send it in (online)
- pick up dh's car
- dinner: chili over rice, salad, cornbread
- book club at 8
