HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR. MT!! Hope your entire day is nothing but GOOD!
Today is also our dgs1's birthday. What a joy he is! He always seems like he's on a 'fast-track' to enjoy every minute of every day. DS-A & DDIL#2 are having a party (here) for him on July 21st. Notice she asked for no gifts for him but for people to consider a gift to dZoe's Memorial Scholarship in his honor instead. Sure that's very meaningful to her (and to us).
Before we left for Fl last fall DS-A was worrying about the vehicles parked (all very neatly and quietly I might add) behind his barn. He has a landscaping & plowing business but however does no 'business' out of his house. At that point I thought they were looking for a new home. Now it seems they're getting ready for a big new addition to their home. Think it might be done just about the time we leave here this fall.
Here's dh back home -he's been out & about already on the golf cart. Yesterday he seemed much better all day -so will see what today brings. Upper bp wasn't bad but lower was 98 & his pulse was up. Think the nurse is supposed to see him today & he sees the cardiologist tomorrow. Saw surgeon yesterday. Appt was at 3, we walked in the office at 2:30 and we were back in the car at 2:40. They just pretty much check the incision and tell him what he can do now -anything he feels he can do. Of course there's a lot to be learned at the cardio tomorrow yet. Their bit is simply the stage one is at following surgery.

Happy Birthday Mr MT!!
This morning (8:30) I'll pick DMom up and we will go to her cardiologist appt. I will be surprised if doc doesn't pursue surgery to open up the arteries in DMom's neck. I've been working diligently to clear some space (time wise) in schedule so I can be totally devoted to DMom if she does need surgery.
I am ***thrilled*** to be back eating WW style. I went through a couple days when I stopped counting WW points. I felt miserable both physically and emotionally. When I eat healthy and correct amounts of food, I feel so good and full of energy. Scales are headed in right direction. According to my weight record, I've lost 17 lbs in the past couple of months.

WTG, Okay. I SO need to get some of the #s off! Just not enough exercise I fear.
I'm still sitting here -at least meds & breakfast are done. It's nearly 9:15 & I'm still in pj's.

My plan is to leave here to see a very dfriend at 1 and have hair apt with her dd at 2. Then I'll make a Wally World run and finally back home. Should be near 5 by the time I get here. Maybe dh and I will go get a bite for dinner instead of having to cook after I get in. Was going to make unstuffed cabbage but dd is going out with a good friend for dinner so will wait until tomorrow.
Do have a bunch of dishes to get done this morning and make the bed. That'll be about it for this morning. I know a real rugged plan.
Did get a very interesting letter from our church here yesterday. Was afraid it was starting out like a resignation letter. Not so -in our estimation it was very good news. It seems that our very dpastor and one of our members (who has been a widower for nearly 20 years & very well liked/respected) are seriously dating. We are hoping there are no negative responses to this and it doesn't seem like there would be -but there's always at least 1 to throw in a monkey wrench. As for us, we're very happy with this news. And it also might mean we get to keep her for a much longer time.

I'm up. Slept pretty well. I was in bed at 10:15, but dh didn't make it until almost 11. I had brought home one of the little tablet cups the nurses use to serve my meds and put my overnight meds in it so I wouldn't have to struggle with the child-proof caps in the night. Woke at 2:15 and took the tramaset, then slept until 6 when I took my dilaudid. That made 8 hours between doses of dilaudid, something that yesterday morning I was lying there crying, waiting for 3.5 hours to pass so I could get my next dose.
In the hospital I was on tylenol (975mg) 4x per day (which is not every 6 hours, it is 8, 12, 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.) and they would always give it with my dilaudid which made no sense to me since I felt I should be staggering the two in order to keep a more level amount of analgesic in my system at any time. The tramaset has only 325 mg of tylenol but by alternating the two drugs, I'm cutting 2 or more of the heavy-duty narcotic out.
Ds has left for a trip down to London, then family Christmas and then another race. He left us his badge in case we need it for parking at the hospital. He told me the hospital was full yesterday so they did a sweep and kicked anyone out who didn't absolutely need to be there and had a safe place to go (i.e. a senior as ill as I am wouldn't be sent home alone.) So that's why I was discharged despite the pain and fever. I don't care - they weren't doing anything for me that I couldn't do at home and without the IV lines in, I can do more for myself here and the movement might help me heal.
I've put away the clean dishes, washed down some of the kitchen counters, made my tea, boiled some eggs and have turned the a/c back on. We will be running it all day long. The bedroom level is already hot and stuffy but there's nothing I can do about that except keep it at this level and hope it doesn't get worse through the day. I'll try and nap in the recliners since the living room is on a cooler level of the house.

WTG with getting back on track and the weight loss, OK!! I feel better when I'm exercising and eating well too.
Glad dh seems to be doing better, Dee. Keep that trend!
Sounds like a good start to your day, Twins. Are you still walking with the neighbor and the young German Shepherd?
Thanks for the explanation yesterday, kathryn. I had never heard of gallbladder stones until I heard about them here. I think you'd explained to me before but I got stuck on what feels to me like a lack of an exact explanation for the pain. ((HUGS)) I hope you have a good day today.
My two big successes yesterday were (1) getting dd15's learner's permit with just 1/2 hour wait at the office and (2) submitting my application for the CC job.
Today so far: Dh and I have gone for a jog. It is warm and HUMID here. *phew* I jogged 2.25 miles - extremely slowly.
Maia seems more perky today. She is now trying to wrestle with Pepper even with the last dose of pain meds solidly in her system. Yesterday, she was pretty sleepy and mellow - for a puppy. We'll continue the pain meds today in an effort to follow vet orders to keep her quiet. Then, we'll start cutting back.
PODA:
x jog
- a.m. routine
- email catch up
- laundry: towels!!!
- 12 - meeting with dd15 and school counselor (and dh?) to talk about overseas schooling possibilities while we're on sabbatical. Last sabbatical, ds was taking a class that was only offered in the high schools here - and they wouldn't accept the other country's school classes in that subject for credit. SO, we homeschooled ds (he sort of homeschooled himself, mostly) and had exams proctored and mailed back to his math teacher here. He had an awesome teacher who was willing to go the extra mile for ds. Long tangent -- main point: we now know not to assume that high school credit will be given for overseas high school classes. An International School will probably be the default option for dd15.
- 1 - meet with orchestra uniform parent and band director to go through boys tuxedo shirts and get rid of the yellow-er ones. I hope to be done by 2.
- 5:30? pick up ds from work; dd17 needed the car today
- dfriend A will stop by for dinner
Dh is now vacuuming and Maia is getting VERY excited. I think keeping her quiet today is going to be a challenge. . .

Helia, the walk with the sweet German Shepherd turned out to be a one time thing - we don't seem to walk at the same times, and it's only Moses that will walk with her. Macs gets slower and slower but he's still walking. I dropped him off after a lap and took Moe another turn. Very hot and humid here already also.
-quick s2s
-make bed
-start a lol
-clear kitchen table
-finalize groc list and errand li&t

He does 'seem' better to some degree, Helia. The worrisome part now is that his heart rate seems to be all over the place. Usually around 55-62. After snoozing & resting today (after meds) it was up to125-130. He can feel it at that point. So will see what cardiologist has to say tomorrow when he has his stress echo.
