I need be in this moment. If I take care of some everyday things today it will help my future whatever that may be, and heaven knows I may change my mind a thousand times if I push for future answers to future issues.

We had a typical day yesterday.
** CW broke 3 times (I thought of Ivy)
** LO to VBS
** Me to DMoms x2
** Special Time with DGS16
** School supply shopping for LO & DGS16 ( $100+)
** List shopping...3 pages = %300+
** putting everything away

Over the past month, DH and I have had many conversations discussing what we would like to do on our Anniversary. We considered several possibilities (DSon has standing offer to fly us free to anywhere in the world) however we couldn't think of anything we wanted to do more than we wanted to just enjoy our normal life. Sooo, that's how we spent our anniversary - just doing normal stuff. While in the middle of yesterday happenings, I looked at DH and asked "Would you have it any other way?" He knew what I was asking and said "Nope"

Why hadn't we thought about this before? DH favorite movie is Dances with Wolves. I just realized he has never read the book that movie was based upon. I've looked it up and sent it to his Kindle Fire. While doing that, I found the author had written a sequel to it so that book was also able to sent it to DH. Happy Happy!

Biscuits are ready to go into the oven. Hopefully I can convince the oven to light today. I am having a love - don't love - relationship with my cooking stove. It has become so temperamental that I'm going to replace it as soon as I find one that has the features that fit the way I cook.

First 'everyday' thing for me should be s2s. I'm a slug this morning. DS-A had called me shortly after 8 to come let him in. (He'd been on a fire call last night and I think he probably just went home after -a house struck by lightening). So I tried calling dh 19 times as I knew he was up that way. Finally threw on my duster and went to let him in. Ended up dh was in the shower and somehow his phone had shut off. In the meantime my mind started working overtime! Guess all's well that ends well.

Consequently I have only gotten as far as taking meds and eating breakfast. I'm too shaky (generally) in the morning to do anything until I eat.

Storms went through here last night too. Winds were 70mph closer to the lake. They were bad enough here. Looks like later today is supposed to be ok and tomorrow. After that I see rain every day through next Sunday! Saturday which is Christmas in July here is 70% chance of thunderstorms. Of course.

Ok, BGS applied & I will get into the shower.

Good Morning Dear Ladies,

Looks like the "cool" weather has left and we are back into the heat.

Another work day for me. Gearing up for back to school. Think our tax free weekend is in two weeks.

MT, I have the DVR set up to record the Debbie M.'s movie this evening. Thanks for the reminder.

Need to get a shower in and head out to work. Praying for all the many needs in our village.

DH is going on a 2+ hour drive North to get grson-13 and grson-14.75. Will get back home here, about 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. depending on freeway traffic, slow-downs due to accidents along the way, etc.. Hope he has a great drive, safe, and I'll be taking care of everyday things while he's gone.

Everything's decluttered. Need to do counters/sinks, toilets and trash- again, and want to write a L. L. to a new gal, in her 70's, who hand prints her letters tidily, and I appreciate that so much because of my eye health issues. I enjoy hand-printing letters occasionally, too.

It's cloudy with an on-shore flow of Mother Nature's natural A/C off the Pacific Ocean. We got up around 7 a.m. and we'll be early rising M-W-F because the boys and DH and friend get firewood. We work for food, around here and not for $, because there's no extra $ to work for. But boy, oh boy! Do those boys ever eat good at our home! Good healthy food, chips and desserts. Plenty of pop, Gatorade, juice, and grson-13 drinks tons of milk.

I'll crochet while they're here, do computer when they're gone or busy, rather than hide away in my office camped on the laptop. They go home the 28th. So will write stories out by hand, then log while they're in the woods. They're great kids. Looking forward to their stay.

I tried a new shampoo yesterday, and this a.m., I woke up with beautiful flowing long hair, without even combing it! After combing, WOW! I'm impressed so much with this! Was going to get my hair chopped off to chin-length, but now, think I'll keep it longer. I'm so Happy!

Spent almost 2 hours in weeding. Gardens facing the road are all done.

Our blue spruce is dying so there's a lot of weeds and a few trees growing up in there. I think I found a 6' tall (but 1/2" diameter trunk) maple in there so left it. Found a 6" tall maple which I planted in the empty back garden along with 4 small furs that dh found under the balcony.

Under the balcony was out of control. Normally I manage to cut things down as they become visible (the balcony is only 4.5' off the ground and has a lattice frame to the ground so I have to get my arm under the frame to weed.) Since that wasn't done at all this year, it was pretty full of large weeds so dh took off one of the frames and crawled in to weed it. That's how he found the fur trees. I think normally I would have missed them and they would die over winter. Either that or they have been growing for years and made it to 8" tall.

The back garden I see from the kitchen is still a mess and that is frustrating since I don't see the front gardens from the house. But it was important to clean up the front as best we could in order to maintain the neighbourhood standards.

While we were out, I put on a load of laundry. That is on the lines now. I have 3 more loads to do today (plus ds must have laundry to do) but I'll wait until after I shower. I'm too weak at this point to shower so have had some water and an apple juice to perk me up.

Ivy: do share the name of shampoo!

GRRRRR! Just had to tell an adult couple and their tween not to cut thru our campsite. They were walking so close they had to duck around our slide. Would they cut thru their neighbor's yard that close back home??

Other than that it is a beautiful morning. It rained during the night so the air is clean and fresh.

We are going to make a grocery run this morning after I take my shower. Next up is breakfast - I'm like you, Dee, I have to eat in the morning or I feel really weak.

I'm s2s. Need to eat some lunch but can't think of what. Ds is awake. Need to get him to shower before work today. And maybe strip his bed.

That/s a rule here, MT -no walking through others' lots. Unless there's permission.

Lousy weather here. DS-R has surprise party here for ddil later this afternoon.
