WINNING WEDNESDAY

No matter how much or how little you accomplish today -you ARE winning!

I'm up, s2s and meds taken. Now for some breakfast. Dh isn't up yet -unusual for him.

We spent quite a while with dh's Dr. last night. Well over half an hour. We talked about a LOT of issues and different meds. He really didn't want to change much in medication that he's already taking. However he did add in a double dose of the cough medicine dh was prescribed in the hospital in June. Has to be sure to take 3x a day and see if that will start to eliminate this irritation dh seems to have with his lungs. Secondly he put him on Flomax to help with the bladder problem he seems to be having. (Hoping that will also help eliminate more of the fluid in his lung & around his heart as well as all the leg swelling). Also took him off one of his omeprazole capsules to see if that helps with his stomach bloating. He's on 2 a day because of Barrett's esophagus and other issues. So we'll see what that does in a week or so.

Dh is up now. Have to get breakfast and get ready to leave for cardiac rehab.

Dee - prayers for Mr dee and your family - for health recovery to come together

My day - yoga. tried some different moves incuding the central padded post i/l of arms needing weight bearing. Movement is coming inch at a time. Talked to the yoga teacher about pt perscribed exercises. She said yes - but at my pace. and back off as needed.

home collected lunch. walked to mtg
town to check a/c balance. few groceries. home on the bus.

rest.
walk 2 k w dog.
dm rang and someone else. I'm learning some time boundaries with that one. Set the timer helps.

I'm glad of my old lady style shopping cart. It helps with yoga items, and w shopping. Its a bit of a drag in the bus, but better than carrying everything

tomorrow - out and about. need to set the alarm to be otd for 9.15 bus.

Good Morning!

Dee - Thank you for the winning start today!

LynLee - BWTG on making such steady progress! An inch at a time sounds perfect

I slept well last night. I am trying to sleep more. Fitbit report for last week shows I'm averaging less than 6 hours sleep a day. My goal is to hit 7 hours of sleep a day (averaged).

I need to utilize my time at home wisely because I will be out of the house for several hours.
** LO to his counselor appt
** LO and me on a picnic & short hike while DH goes to church elder meeting
** Wednesday night church service.

Good morning! I was up early simply because I couldn't lay flat any more. I didn't sleep well, so I'm trying to get everything I need done finished early. I'll probably have to nap a bit.

Dee, doesn't it seem that medicines help one thing but cause another? I wish your DH's recovery was smoother.

At last night's church meeting they shared that one of our most active members had finally stepped down from her duties. If we'd have taken on her chores we'd all have full-time jobs at the church, unpaid of course. Hopefully we found solutions for all that and only have two more things to handle. I will have to help with some of that.

Back to my desk...

I slept in this morning after an unsettling evening here. Dh came home "in a mood" while dd and I were cooking supper together - he got on me for not answering my phone 15 minutes earlier (didn't try home phone, only cell) and on me and ds for not bringing in the garbage can. Dd wisely reminded me it was about him, not about me but it still stung. He went out to an evening meeting and apologized later, but close to bedtime he and dd got into it. Her new phone wasn't working right and things went from bad to worse. DH ended up on the phone with a very loud customer service lady on speakerphone and probably after an hour (from 10 to 11?) got it figured out that the phone is missing an SD card. Meanwhile she and dh are barely speaking and I'm trying not to get caught in the middle.

Shes hoping to go back to school a week from today - unfortunately, I'll have to drive her to K-town and back and forth. She has a defensive driving course here on Sat the 17th and then her court date for the speeding ticket on the 20th. And her school starts the 21st so I see a lot of driving in my future, unfortunately. She's already upset that she won't be taking her car back to K-town this fall and still doesn't seem to understand the severity of the speeding ticket she rec'd.

I need to get busy and get on the road to see dsis today. I'm hoping to be on the road in an hour but don't know if I can with the late start.

I'm up and in the kitchen. Tidied bedroom, exercised, s2s, did the ironing (I needed capris so couldn't put it off any longer) and emptied the dishwasher. I'm sipping my tea now. I find my green tea much hotter than my decaf tea so it takes longer to drink it.

Will go over to the church to work later this morning.

Got invited to spend some time at dd's godparent's place so have tentatively scheduled a date for that. They are 4 hours away and we'll just stay one night. They have access to our online family calendar so only ever propose dates that are good for us since they can see when I'm preaching, traveling, doctor's appointments, etc.

Good morning, villagers ~
I've been dealing with Emails so far today -- sending out thank you notes, replying to questions, trying to delete the spam.

Goals for today:
* Catch up on reading several days of posts
* Continue decluttering Emails
* Menu plan so I can buy groceries tomorrow
* Read the stack of newspapers so they can be recycled
* Long nap with cats (still sleep deprived from the trip)
* Deep clean upstairs bathroom
* Reminder to take the trash & recycle bins to the curb tonight

I am not planning to go anywhere today, so my face can have a break from makeup. I want to enjoy being home alone in the quiet with the cats.

One of the things I think is very challenging about traveling is the level of NOISE. I love a good noisy family gathering, but it's difficult to cope with for 12 hours in a row, several days in a row.

Ditto!

Back from rehab and for some reason I'm starving. Well, probably wouldn't 'starve' literally.
Dee, doesn't it seem that medicines help one thing but cause another?
Absolutely, Harmony. Trying to make sure dh gets this cough med his 3x a day and hope it at least lowers the coughing fits. He was in the recliner & out as soon as we got inside. ;) They're working him harder.

I went to a W mart near to the cardiac rehab. Haven't been there in probably 5 years or so. Couldn't find ANYTHING! :| Tomorrow I'll get gas in town as it's 5-cents off on Thursdays.

Amazingly the intersection where the 3 young people were killed & 2 others badly injured a short time ago: The state is there today cutting back a bank/berm, cutting trees & shrubs, etc, etc. As of Tuesday, the unheard of will come to be - a 4-way stop on a STATE highway. Can't be a single person from around here going by there who isn't saying, "YAY!!!" It's just so horribly sad that so many have to die before a dangerous situation is remedied.

It is now afternoon here, so good afternoon all! I'm starting to think about lunch. I'm eating some yogurt.

Done so far:
x a.m. routine
x met with dfriend at 8 a.m.; it looks like she might take over the children's craft prep for the moms group! --BTW, this moms group is unique to our church, not MOPS.
x threw the frisbee for Maia outside for a bit to run off a small fraction of her endless energy
x took short ribs out of the freezer; I forgot to do this last night. They'll need to go in the crock pot in about 1.5 hours
x emails taken care of

Dd17 is off fetching a friend to bring here. DW is running since we didn't run it last night. I'll need to go for a jog later today since I couldn't join dh this morning - meeting with dfriend was at 8 a.m.

Dfriend R may join us for dinner tonight. S is out of town. Actually, I think R does most of the cooking for them, but it is lonely to cook and eat by oneself. Dh is leaving town tonight after dinner, and we're eating early for him - and I think ds has a meeting at 6:45 too.

Next:
- finish lunch
- switch laundry
- errands: Target and party store with dd15 - for shower decorations

79*-97* Today's temps.
Today I did 30 min. yd. work east fence line looks better now.
I've fed the chickens and collected two eggs so far this morning. Later when I went out to move the water I saw that the hens were all standing around as if to guard one egg that was not laid in the coop under the rose bushes. After I spotted it then the hens dispersed and I got out the shrub rake with narrow plastic leaf part and gently scooted it to with in reach. This one was light beige in color. The first one was a dark one.

Q.T. journaling and breakfast are done
spiff bed done
main bathroom has been spiffed
duds / laundry is current
granny duty has begun
I have a dinner plan for later in the week I want to try the new subway special.
Done to here
dishes need rinsed
vacuum living room rug
I am in the process of watering the along the North fence line this morning.
My goal today is to remove three things from the table at least every hour.
