THAT'S THE TICKET THURSDAY

Was trying to think of a 'T' for today and remembered LucyLee speaking of her 'ticket'. Though we need to take a more positive look at that word -and make something today that really is a (good) ticket!

For me I guess that will be an extra load of laundry. Dh still hasn't turned water off to the laundry room & asked if I could do a load to incorporate the jeans he's wearing as they are ultra comfortable. (Reminder to self -look to see what they are so perhaps can duplicate?) So that's the ticket! I put together enough things (that won't matter if they're washed with jeans) to make a load. So when he comes back to change I'll run up and get it going. Of course I'm not even s2s myself as yet. :?

I haven't even broached the subject of my laptop as yet. I know it's going to take me some time to get things re-loaded and haven't wanted to even peek yet.

DS-R came over last night to help dh move the water wheel on our berm. He needed to get the water box under it drained and put away. So that much is done. Not raining (yet) this morning so I should try to get a few things done on our deck -that much less for dh to do.

Still haven't decided for sure when we plan to leave. Still have a little over 2 weeks to figure weather and all that. I find myself doing things toward closing up, trying not to notice that I'm creating a few messes and piles in here. But, a necessary evil I guess. I do want to leave it ultra neat for dh to return in the spring. Because the way it is when he gets here, is pretty much the way it is when I get back. So need to do no hurry up & stash things at the tail end (she says hopefully).

Busy day here, Dee. Hope I don't get a ticket, lol. (One road that we use frequently has seen a lot of cop traffic pulling people over recently, too. I always hope I don't zone out and go too fast!)

Need to head out in 30 minutes to meet with rabbi. Home again for awhile then 1 p.m. appt with doc who writes scripts for meds, then off to dmom's to ck in and refill meds. Tonight I'm supposed to be at a 5:30 meeting, and if it goes quickly I "might" go down the street when I get home for "Thirsty Thursday" neighborhood get together. Probably will be "peopled out" by then, however.

DD home, house looks like a tornado hit, between the stuff I had out yesterday and her stuff that was dumped when she came in.

Off to get dressed and head out. Will s2s and walk ddogs after I see Rabbi.

Good Morning!

My leg muscles are letting me know they received a good work out yesterday. It is a good ache though.

Today is start of LO's fall break so we will be on different time slots than normal week-day. Not much lollygagging is happening this morning though. I'll take LO to his 2 medical appts while DH goes to his 2.

This afternoon ticket is admittance to "Chaos to calm" being held in our home. I will be the lead star in this effort. Very little has been done in our home for the past 36 hours and it shows. It seems that our home can go from clean to yucky in an unbelievable short time.

I still need to decide whether to make the 4 hour drive this evening or early tomorrow morning. I want to watch DGS7 is in a race that starts at 9:30am tomorrow.

I had tickets to pdoc, support group, orthopeadic doc today, and wrote my own ticket to get bathroom / toilet floors done tonight.

Seems the older I get, the more quickly I become 'peopled out', Twins.

I think that's a quote almost any one of us can use as well!

KWYM, Twins. DD said last night, "You should see gd's room ALREADY!". And a good share of her stuff is still in the garage. DD wouldn't let her bring it all in. Said her car was FULL coming home from the Ranch. However, gd never took all that much stuff with her. So, once, things are in place, dd will go through it all once again and return a lot to the ranch. Has no idea where it all came from. No doubt about it, gd is a 'hoarder/pack rat'. Her room, alone would attest to that. Every scrap of paper, trash, garbage, etc.

Better get on with the laundry so dh can shut down the bath house/laundry room later this morning. He told dcampowner this morning that he would be shutting that down as soon as we did a load of laundry. He just laughed. Oh, btw, dh looked to see what those 'really comfortable' jeans were when he took them off. No wonder they're comfortable & he surely bought them at the flea market - C Alvin K lein! Uh, no, I won't be duplicating them any time soon -unless you find another pair at the flea market.

Good morning, villagers ~
A good friend asked for "emergency" help this morning to show her how to sew buttonholes and mark the hem on a dress she's making. She wants to wear it tonight.
I need to s2s before I hit the road.
After our sewing adventures, I'll run some errands.
Should be a fun day. :)
I hope you all have some fun today, too.

I had a good bs reading this morning yea! Baby n. Will be here a bit for the a.m. and I pick up dgd for the afternoon dgson will be here after school so I have a full day. I am so glad I got the painting as far as I did yesterday. We got 11 eggs yesterday. I got the new feeder I painted hung up for the hens in the run.

I have about 75% of the staples out of the framing for the garden for next year to keep the hens out. H. Said he would build a new frame for the brooder.

LOL, Dee and OKay. I had already copied OKay's words above to quote also.

Home again from temple. Need to get rolling with rest of a.m. routine.
-second breakfast (boiled egg)
-kitchen counters
-walk the poor ddogs
-move dd's things which she left on chair and kitchen table to steps
-find out where a/c is running - did dd turn it on upstairs?

Well! If THAT isn't the ticket what is? In my haste to do the load of laundry I never noticed that the laundry packet never fell in with the laundry. When I put them in the laundry -noticed the laundry pouch still in the basket.  :o Now what? So! I simply proceeded to dry them and I'll take out anything that doesn't look 'clean'. dh's jeans will be well rinsed enough to take another round. Plus they were prewashed so lots of water swirling through at least. I'll never tell -oh! I just did.

DD posted a saying on FB last night that meant a lot to her (and us): Repeated here for whomever needs it:
Sometimes when things are falling apart, they may actually be falling into place. You just can't see it yet.
So true in so many cases. Think those were the words dd needed to see/hear.

Oy. Rabbi dropped an issue into my lap and now I have to decide how to handle. Don't want to alienate a very longtime current member, but we are not buying copies of her daughter's book to sell when she speaks at a Shabbat service! We had a debate as to whether we would allow the dd to offer books for sale on Shabbat, but for sure we're not paying for them and having a cashier! But need to think on the tactful answer.

-s2s
-make the bed
-straighten up breakfast bar clutter catcher
-call vet re Macs meds needed
-work toward clearing kitchen table of debris
