I am at the gate waiting to board in 45 minutes.
In what way will you take flight today?

Re: Taking flight Friday
Took lots of pain pills and slept quite well but was only in bed six hours. Will try to nap on the plane.
I was fine at first this morning but am sore now. Am using the cane and a slow and steady speed.
I'll do a round of back exercises now. I can use my coat as a mat.

(((Kathryn)))) I hope the pain eases up.
I woke up at few minutes early this morning (4:15am) because cars were pulling into the next door neighbor driveway. I can only guess that neighbor passed away. I think one of the cars was a hearse because of its bigger shape (only had the moon light) and that it backed up to the door instead of pulling in like everyone else. Hum.....I didn't think about checking FB....checking....Yup. Neighbor passed away. I'm glad I made time to go visit them earlier this week.

Re: Taking flight Friday
Have to go back & find your itinerary today. I'm feeling rather out of the loop. Want to get back on track here.
Went to "Trivia" with dd last night. Had a good time but am tired today. Woke a few times during the night. Remember one particularly bad coughing spell. Cough is gradually (VERY gradually) getting better. Probably should have gone to a dr. days ago. Hard to decide to do that 'on the road'.
Still no sign of dh's car keys -hoping he finds them when he returns home in the spring. He has other valuable keys on them as well. Some are difficult to replace. Also have seen nothing of the center of our hub cap. Still rather think it was laid aside somewhere at the tire repair shop.
Have all our clothing put away now. Have done some reorganizing of a lot of the 'bathroom' stuff. Have another bag of that to go. Lots of things we just can't leave because of the danger of freezing. So we carry a lot with us that we end up never using. Am paring it down each year though.
Little cool here this morning but not as bad as back home. Looks like they're getting snow off and on this week.
Enjoy your trip, Kathryn!

Re: Taking flight Friday
Dee - I'm glad you are settling in. Hopefully things will calm down a bit for you and DH.
LO has been successfully launched to school. I debated with myself about keeping him home today. He is still having frequent coughing fits no matter what kind of meds I give him. He wasn't able to keep his supper down last night (again) due to the coughing. However, he begged and pleaded to go to school. Still not sure I should have, but he is not running fever and the doctor says he is not contagious. Did I make the right decision? Not sure.
DH is returning home today. The game he traveled with DSon to watch didn't go in the favor of their team (our state college team lost BIG TIME), however DH said he was having a very good time being with DSon.
PODA -
** MPB chores (3-4 hours).
** pick up DGS16 from his school.
** meet K&K for supper
** FNG
Today our community is having a "Pink Out" day to show/give support to DFriend. It will be interesting to see how it turns out. DH has never wore a Hot Pink shirt in his life, but he told me to buy him one. I'm going to be sure and take pictures of him today because this one day is probably the only time he will ever wear it.

Some men look good in pink. My dad did and Mike really suits it.
What is taking flight for me today? Hmmm... not sure.

Re: Taking flight Friday
Okay, didn't you say that dneighbor was just diagnosed with cancer and they hadn't determined the source? I have heard of that happening so quickly.
Dd2 stayed home yesterday and today. Dgd2 is running a fever. She keeps telling her mama "I am burning up". Dd2 was able to get a 10 am appt for her. I watched both girls yesterday afternoon while dd2 ran to some furniture stores and picked the boys up from school.
I am dressed and ready for the day because I thought dd2 was going to work this morning and I was going to watch dgd2. So I need to get a grocery list made and buy groceries. I will need to watch dgd2 while they close on the house. I may be needed to stay at the new house and wait for the cable company from 3-5 today, also. They want the cable installed before the basement is sheetrocked.
Better hit it.

Re: Taking flight Friday
I can't seem to get launched today...Need to unstick my tushy and get moving. Ddogs need to be walked then I need to head out to dmom's. Massage/body work at 1:30 which I need today as I'm feeling achy from the Tuesday workout and the driving on Wednesday.
Dh suggested this a.m. that we drive up to K-town this evening and take dd out for dinner but she has plans. She's givin' me grief because she told me earlier in the week that a friend who is at another school was coming to K-town to see her this weekend.
Last night we had a quick supper out and saw Last Vegas - very enjoyable evening together.
Okay...trying to get unstuck....

Re: Taking flight Friday
((Kathryn)) I hope your travels aren't too uncomfortable for you. I'm trying not to feel too envious of all the get-togethers happening here, but if they're reported afterward, I can share vicariously in the joys. .. .. LOL at knowing that word so you won't be flustered if LO uses it!!
I think we'd all agree. . . .Kids do say funny things sometimes.
Interesting so many of you will be in NM at the same time.
Didn't get up with the girls; slept in until 8 this a.m. I ended up sleeping just fine last night! Went with dh to Panera for coffee this morning. It was good to catch up a bit, chatted a fair bit about dd18. She is sharing her testimony in church this Sunday. She also waited until the very last minute last night to finish problems and study for physics (AP) test today. Would love to see progress for her in that habit -- but dh and I know we did that too at her age, and sometimes still do it. Kind of funny that dh and I are at a point in life where we have to make dates with each other in order to catch up with each other. Evenings don't work - haven't for a few years - b/c kids are up so late, sometimes later than we are, w/ studies.
I have 1:20 before I need to leave again for a lunch date with 2 good friends. Then, I'll need to prep for tutoring and tutor 3 ~ 5-ish. Laundry is piling up. Other than that, house is in decent shape, though I never changed the towels this week. The brick porch areas could use a good sweeping. The areas in front of the doors are littered with Maia's contraband, items she knows she's not allowed to bring in the house, mostly sticks - but some rocks, apples (from our tree), rubber gardening cover she is ripping out (previous owners had it down in the garden areas and we're not thrilled with it anyway), etc. The dead animals/animal parts she tries to bring in I dispose of immediately. .. .
Why did we get a puppy?? I still need to call window cleaners. Windows are quite dirty - on the outside mainly. Maybe I'll do that this a.m.
The good news is that I have NOTHING on my calendar for tomorrow!
I will need to go to the groc. store to figure out what I'm making for a meal for a dfriend who just got out of surgery.
The other good news is that we have sunshine with clear blue skies!! It is gorgeous out there. I may try to go for a walk in the park after tutoring. The sunshine really gladdens my heart this morning!
