Good morning everyone! Well, it is really still night for me. I have been working on my filter (success!) and my bathtub (more success!). Swirling Saturday is in honor of my, now nicely draining, bathtub.

G'night!

Monday our time (Sunday yours) we'll pull into Auckland and two favourite couples will leave the ship. Tomorrow we'll be spending time with them before we have to say goodbye. It is the smiles and laughter we've shared with these people that makes us dread their leaving.

I hope you have people to share smiles and laughter with today.

Lynlee: yes we are in that area. This whole cruise, our speed has been around 15 knots. Today we seldom went under 17 and sometimes even more than that. The Captain is trying to get away from the storm.

We are due to be in Auckland at 8 on Monday. I'm looking up the predicted path and hope to see it veering towards you instead of further south. Sorry!

Swirling and Smiling - This Saturday sounds like it will be a fun one.

Two Saturday threads started left me wondering which to post on. I'm sure the Moderators will sort it out.

Yesterday I started feeling lousy. Sorta beat up. I tried to think of what I did to make my muscles so sore. After a few hours I realized that I've got some sort of bug. Flu? Virus? who knows. I just know my body aches and Tylenol doesn't seem to help. This too will pass..........

Today I'm taking it easy. Going to be a slug. Read a book. Watch something on TV.

Good morning, villagers ~
I've tried several times to merge the 2 Saturday topics together, but obviously I'm missing a step somewhere because they won't do it. I've locked the other thread until another mod can help me figure it out.

Yesterday afternoon when I took the library group's deposit to the bank, the teller asked if we were having any weekend events at the library. I said there wasn't anything going on this weekend, but we had just had our first Lego Club meeting. As we talked a bit more, she said she'd been looking for somewhere to donate her daughter's L sets that she doesn't play with anymore. After I told her a bit more about the club activities, she said she thought her daughter would like to join the club. :D

I think my hunch is being proven that people were just waiting to donate L pieces until they knew for sure that the club was going to really happen.

I need to order more pieces with the cash that I was given, but looks like the prices are up a little bit. I'll watch for a few days to see if they'll come back down the way they did before.

Today I will focus on 3 Ds, pay bills, and finish newsletter fold/label/tab/stamp processes. Once the newsletter is ready to take to the post office on Monday, I can switch back to my file archives reorganization project.

I checked FB first thing this morning and the first post I saw was the beautiful grinning face of a great-niece who turned 2 yesterday. What a sweetie. I haven't seen her since Christmas and DSis says that she's starting to talk a lot now. Not sure when we'll be able to get together again, but I hope it's soon.

Talking of family reminds me, another thing I need to do this weekend is get the planning started for DH's family reunion this summer. We're in charge of organizing it this year. Must contact the park to ask when the shelter will be available. Then I think I have my summer calendar set up enough to take a poll of the rest of the family to figure out the date that will work for the most people. It's impossible to find a date that will suit everyone.

I hope you all have a terrific Saturday!

Good morning I hope to be smiling today. Groc. list needs to be made. I need to get my fav. Author on the list and request in at the local used book store. got a pen pal letter ready to go. My goal next week is to start writing a snail mail letter for my mom I know she enjoys getting them.

Small group tonight will give me ample opportunities to share smile and laughters. :) And I'm not hosting it. Nor am I making a significant dish to share. I'm just bringing bread.

Dh and dd15 left at 7 a.m. for the district solo/ensemble festival. Dd15 played her solo at 8:15. She got a "1," which is the highest rating, so I've had some smiles over that. I'm sure she has too. It also means she gets an "A" in band for the semester. Hate to admit that's important - but it is. .. She can now relax and enjoy the rest of the day. I know she's planning to sit in on some friend's performances and is meeting her synchro swimming duet partner to review their routine. She also has some studies with her and her art project to work on. It is a slender bracelet of overlapping silver and bronze. I looked at it yesterday and said, "It looks elven." She said, "Really? That's good! I modeled it after Arwen's headpiece in LOTR." It is a very elegant and pretty piece of jewelry, I must say. I wouldn't mind owning it. . . .She needs to finish sanding or buffing or something and will meet her teacher on Monday to turn it in. Anyhow, she still has a couple more performances today - her percussion ensemble is at 11 and then her oboe duet with her dfriend is at 4. Dh has called, and he is now parked at a nearby coffee shop working.

SO. . . I've been up since 7 a.m. and I have not much to show for the last 3 hours. . . .I have fed the ddogs, checked emails, played on facebook, reviewed fellow mom group teacher's notes for her teaching this coming week, s2s-ed, had 2 cups of tea. However, I am generally just basking in the luxury of NOTHING on my calendar until small group tonight, and I'm looking forward to that! :) But, I'd better stop basking and get going. There are a lot of things I need to catch up on. I'll do a little brain dump here, if that's OK with you all. .

Catch up to do:
- trip to Target
- clean bedding on all beds
- catch up with towel bedding laundry that still needs to be folded and put away
- Hebrew translation work for Monday
- paperwork
- procure bread for small group - breadmaker and/or Whole Foods

Next - get the a.m. routine done.

My dd is going to meet me at the roller derby game tonight. Smiles then, but white knuckle driving to get there. There is very little snow, but the wind is creating whiteouts and there is a storm warning on the weather channel. I hope Mike doesn't mind driving to Toronto and back in this wind.
