Hi
Harriet, what a good theme for today. Dh & I have been a little stressed since we discovered that the gutter on one section of the house is full of ice from snow melting off the roof. The ice built up so much it pushed up under the roof a little & started melting when it hit the warmer air from inside the house. I was sitting here at my computer when I heard drip, drip, drip & looked up to see the drops both falling from the ceiling & rolling down the wall. Dh put ice melt in the gutter; hoping that works. I feel bad because he wanted to shovel snow off this part of the roof right after this last storm, but I talked him out of it because I hate when he goes up there (especially when it is slippery!) Thankfully the dripping lasted only a short time.
This time of year, I frequently decompress by taking a few minutes several times a day to lean on a windowsill & watch all the birds that visit our yard for food. There is such a variety -- woodpeckers on the suet block, blue jays looking for peanut pieces, robins drinking from the birdbath, dozens of doves eating seed on the ground along with wrens, sparrows, finches & more. I'm glad to be able to help them, especially when it is so brutally cold.
As far as organizing spaces, I'm not doing any of that today, but have been doing some planning mentally -- does that count?
Hi
Nancy. You've mentioned that your dgd likes to bake with you. Has she shown any interest in knitting or crocheting?
Hi
Cowinkie, yes, I agree, we are so blessed.
PS -- I don't think I remembered to tell you this before but around the time you gave such a good review about your new jeans from kma rt I needed a pair. I tried there first & found such a comfy pair with a great fit. Thanks for sharing that

.
