Congratulations, Village, on 3,000 charming and delightful threads we've shared here!
Realized this was our three thousandth thread, started to post and Twins' Mom had, too
so I thought she would forgive me if I brought her thread here.
But oh, the embarrassment, before I could finish Dee had posted in Twin's thread!
And then the merge didn't work... ...
So ya'll forgive me, please! ( Think positive thoughts as Twins' Mom had ALREADY said.
)
Twins' Mom had said, brilliantly... ...
“Every thought is a seed. If you plant crab apples, don’t count on harvesting Golden Delicious.”
Bill Meyer
I'm thinkin' positive thoughts today....things to do, people to see!
and Dee had added, brilliantly... ...
Cute quote, Twins and so true!
DD said last night that gd15 was in yet another fight Monday night -dd got a call about 10pm. GD doesn't want anyone to come see her with dd, so guess that lets me out. DD has to go Saturday for family 'fun' day. May go with her and stop and see my aunt for a few hours.
Today is dh's procedure at the hospital -this afternoon. Talked to him late yesterday afternoon. He'd driven to the firehall - a less than 3 minute trip -took him almost 20 minutes. They'd gotten about 10" of snow at that point. Schools let out early but not much (because of lunches I'm sure). Hope it's all better today.
DDil#2 sent a couple of videos and pictures last night. One she had brought in a bunch of snow and put it on the table for dgs18months to play in. He had on mittens but was still declaring the snow was "cold". Later she sent pictures of him "packing" to come to FL. He obviously was sitting in his big sister's suitcase and was probably 'helping' her.

Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Thank you Harriet, for the explanation. I had seen that Twin's opened. The next time, her quote was gone and Dee had posted, which made it look like she had opened. Then this time you had opened. Before I read the explanation, I was wondering if I was losing it.
I woke up with a slight sore throat due to sinus drainage. My throat is no longer sore. I still feel like I am teetering on the cusp of a cold, but I am still trying to drive it away.
We are suppose to be in the single digits today. I plan to stay home and hopefully do some cleaning. Tomorrow I will buy groceries and run errands. They are forecasting more snow for Saturday and Monday night into Tuesday. I am not a fan of snow, but let's get our snow in February and be done with it.
Guess I better finish loading the dw and get it started.

Good Morning!
It a great reason to celebrate! Happy 3000!!!
Today school has been cancelled due to the weather. Cold and snow seems to be the ongoing story of our weather for at least another week. Looks like MPB might be closed all next week too. Our local weather people are already showing models of developing weather pattern showing that next Tuesday could be the "Storm of the Season" for us. So instead of seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, it just gets colder and more snow. I'm starting to get a small taste what the northern SHE deal with all the time. ....except they are equipped to deal with it much better than we are. Our school has already used all the inclement weather days so it will be interesting what solution they develop to make up the missed school time.
I'm in the process of looking for a new-to-us vehicle. We are giving my car away so I find myself needing something with wheels ASAP.

Nancy, I watched some of AI last night with dh, I was also reading at the same time.
Wow,
Harriet, 3,000 posts? We've been quite prolific haven't we?
I like the quote today, too,
Dee. I'm reminding myself not to be a crabapple.
I did some online surfing looking at computers this morning, and emailed the tech guy at my old place of work to ask his opinion. Mine is old, old.
I need to get moving....
-kitchen counters
-quick s2s
-make the bed
-take out kitchen trash
-do I need to do laundry today?
The maintenance guy at the temple is supposed to be here in about 45 minutes to hang some things for me so s2s first, then see how much else I can do....

Today's positive thought 40 days until spring.
Twins I enjoy Am. Idol so much more after the group week cuts are done.
Thawed out chickens water bucket and it is ready for the next round. H. Donated a sandwich for them so I saved the bread and cut it up in small bits. They are on the roost in the sun.
BWP plan - Sheet washing day I need to do that so the hens can get under the dryer vent if needed to warm up. They are going now. 13 eggs yesterday I was amazed the light really does work!!!
I enjoy winter olympics a great time to do a knit or crocheting project. Eternity scarf is a success and coming in very handy!

Realizing I'd botched the merge, I just kept the three posts together - they were each the 3,000th post at some point this morning, as Lilac told us. Lilac, sorry I made you think you were losing it! Not so! You are quite together! It's me I'm worried about.
I'd gotten here earlier this morning and been pulled directly away from the computer. The washing machine folks were knocking on the door. It's a good thing they were early, because HRH was still here and he ended up doing some of the installation work himself. At one point, he grumbled (to me) about delivery people being sent to do a job that requires an installer.
But it all worked out in the end.
Earlier, dd called from school needing a hoodie sweatshirt. (what? I guess I'll learn what that was about later) So I drove BACK to school and stood in the lobby at class-change, holding the sweatshirt so she could rush past like a marathon runner (she did hug me quick), snagging the sweatshirt to take with her to second period. Maybe she's been told some class or project is outdoors today and is hoping her head would be covered - us butlers just have to assume mi'lady's got a plan.
Happily, the students were not too nuts or loud today, and seemed to think a strange woman standing mid-lobby was no big deal. lucylee would have been gratified.
Amazingly, I have finally gotten around to the work around here, and accomplished Desk Day for our household.
Dee, best wishes to Mr. DeeClutter on his procedure. How frustrating to have such a struggle to get from place to place! Your ds certainly does a good work helping people (and knowing HOW to help people) shovel out, as OKay mentioned.
Nancy, thank you for the reminder about The Olympics. I had to run check because it snuck up on me! I thought nothing happened until tomorrow. Yep, NBC starts with Figure Skating at 8 eastern time tonight (at least that's the best I can understand online) and the opening ceremonies will be tomorrow night at 7:30 eastern.
"Storm of the Season" upcoming, OKay? Whoa. I would have assumed your area would endure a few more blasts and be finished with bad weather. One school system neighboring here is using Saturdays for make-up. Dd34 reports their system has still not informed parents how the 3 days they have missed will be made up. How was your class?
Sunny included me in her good wishes to those with bad weather, but I have to say that except for living like chlly ducks, we are all right, Sunny. Were the temps to turn down a little, we would be a land of ice for sure, with all this fog and rain.
Dove, hoping you still have electricity and dh is not worried about you anymore. It's hard for husbands who are away, to hear something from home that worries them.
Elizabeth, Froot Loops? Really? Sugary, sugary. I remember my obstetrician being upset I ate bananas every morning for a while and saying that was too sweet!

Nancy, good luck at your appointment Monday.
More bad weather news around. (OKay) know it's hard when your business has to keep closing down.
I guess we are a chatty bunch!
Stressful morning. Bunch of paperwork stuff, files, etc. and permit for church where the right hand doesn't know what the left hand needs. Someone got quote 3X more than it should be, she isn't knowledgeable about building, and must have assumed we'd pay for something routine DH would be taking care of for free. sigh..
Anyway, he has drs. apt. this afternoon and I think that's got our stress levels up. A lot hinges on what this dr. has to say. If he sees problems, he won't ok the surgery, and where do we go from here?
We are 82° and cloudy again. I don't remember ever this many days of clouds. Even a tropical storm clears after a few days.

Happy 3000, everyone!
(((
Harmony))) Hope y'all get good news from the doctor today.
Hope you ALL -- all in the snow, that is -- get better travel conditions soon!!!
us butlers just have to assume mi'lady's got a plan.
-- Love it,
Harriet!
Speaking of tv, I don't watch American Idol, and just sorta haphazardly catch any of the Olympics -- although I do enjoy the figure skating. However -- I must remember to dvr Jay Leno tonight --his last show. I really hate to see him go.
I won't be watching anything tonight b/c dh plans to take me to see
The Monuments Men, w/George Clooney. Of course he wants to see it too -- it's based on a true WWII story.
I also have two Belk gift cards burning a hole in my pocket and a $10 Belk bonus buck that will expire Saturday, so must go NOW!
LOL, picturing
Lilac's face as the opening kept changing...
I was wondering if I was losing it.
Worrisome dreams again last night... this time my dmom was worrying about all sorts of things that might be wrong w/dgs, causing him not to talk... in my dream, I was trying to contact my old pediatrician to ask his opinion. (He's dead.)
But also in my dream, I was spending a lot of time at my late dgmother's house, and had dgs with me, so that was kinda fun.
Must get started with my day.
