Oh, ((Nancy)), I wondered why you were up when it's so early for your area. Hope you can deal with the low quickly.

Thinking of Mr. Harmony today - hope everything goes well for him.

Happy Birthday to Elizabeth's dd!

The gluten-free brownies came out fine, but nobody was raving about them. Very pretty - you certainly couldn't tell there was anything different about them from looking. The texture is a little grainy. I would probably make them again.

Felt confident on the school run this morning, especially since I'd made a point to slow down yesterday passing school and scope out the driveways. There was only one iced-over spot on the hill in, and I just didn't turn in until I saw traffic was clear all around it and I could keep my speed up. If a vehicle without much weight has to stop in traffic there this morning, they could have a jam.

I've made one DPC and have several more. Dislike the Dreaded Phone Calls that always seem to have cropped up for Mondays - there seem to be more today than other days.

Will accompany HRH to a follow-up appt today. Really should go for a hair trim.

Today starts Storage week in Focus cleaning. I was posting in Focus how many choices I have :? that would be good candidates for me to consider storage and clean up.

Hope to do some focus work in storage areas here - from the front closet which could be much more functional to the garage to the closet by the garage door that is underutilized.

Still trying to get used to new computer, and need to transition over to new computer completely at some pt. I hadn't backed my phone up to new computer but was able to restore the new phone completely from the old computer, thankfully. Also need to somehow get Excel and Word on new computer and hate to purchase it. The new keyboard is very very sensitive, I keep getting extra spaces and extra letters - I had to pound the old one and some letters still didn't always work.

Dh has thankfully gone to work for awhile. His office is closed but he usually will go in to work a bit. He was on the phone at 8 a.m. and was able to set up an appt for 11 for me to get new passenger side glass, hopefully. He is really on a roll with his OCD - he's been scouring credit card stmts and last night I had to drop everything to locate my Am Express card (that I don't use) to prove to him that it wasn't in my purse. At the first place he called, the first available appt for auto glass was Sat, and under that scenario he was insisting that I take everything out of my car until then - donation stuff in back, first aid kit, everything in the glove box et al. I'm trying to keep my sense of humor, anyway. And thank goodness he's bowling tonight and out of the house.

I need to do what I can of a.m. routine in the next hour, including walking ddogs, before I head out about the car window.

Slept almost 8 hours but I'm sure the melatonin helped with that.

Dh was awake from 3:30 onwards and out of bed just after 6. I got up at 7:30 and did stretches, bike, treadmill, more stretches, then s2s.

Just wrote the real-estate agent back, hoping to view a place tomorrow.

Have finished my tea and chocolate, time for my cereal. Then to the general store for the mail and gossip.

Good Morning All.

I feel like the morning after as I used so much mental energy yesterday. It was the funeral luncheon and I was working with the one-who-thought-she-would-be-chair. By the end of the day we were smiling and joking so I guess she is over it.

I need to take all the carp back up to the church. Coffee pots, plates, cups, etc etc.

PS: I think the reason the funeral luncheon was held at the funeral home was none of them go to our church except the deceased. In fact, I don't think they go to any church so not comfortable there. Funeral home was neutral ground and equidistant for those from Phoenix and those from up the hill.

Back from general store. No gossip, the proprietor was too busy to chat.

Mail has all been opened and sorted. That took an hour. Sigh.... Lots of work ahead of me. One surprise cheque for a few hundred in the mail. The expected one (huge) is missing. This is why I keep telling dh I don't want to book travel before we are paid (this cheque would have paid for over half this past trip.) I'm scared to look at the finances but know they won't be good (we haven't paid ourselves for months and months, I think September was the last time there was money to do so.)

Now to have some lunch and get ready for choir practice. Haven't sung for a month so my voice will be raw.

hello dear ladies

hope all is going well with the harmonys.

Today I go to see doc for 6wk check-up at 3 and then PT at 5.

Was in a lot of pain yesterday by the time I got out of work, Ended up in tears as DH drove me home. Immediately took a pain pill and got out of my sling. Did some exercises with the arm as I watched TV.

Felt improvement.

This morning woke up with some pain. Got out of the sling, did some exercises again and buttered toast while DH made eggs, showered and dressed. Was out of sling for 3 hours and started hurting again so back in the sling,

Sometimes being in the sling for too long hurts. Sometimes being out of the sling too long hurts.

hope your day is great!

Sadie I hope you can get the perfect balance of in out of the sling to avoid pain the rest of the day!

I am back inside from cleaning the the coop.
I knit a few rows before heading out.

I watched some chicken info. Can't spell but they are cold hardy wyndonette not sure how heat tolerant they are but P. Allen smith has 'em in ark. So may consider them for after the ones this yr. We miss the green eggs too. H. Took 7 doz. Eggs in for the orders of the guys at work got 16 eggs yesterday. We have enought for us and deviled eggs too. I need a few acres that is our dream for more hens. Got the idea to try to teach them a few more tricks going up the ramp they sort of got it today.

Nancy, I've had a few of the regular color (silver laced) when I would get the variety of chicks. Definitely liked them. They were strong and calm and didn't fly much, didn't get upset. Small combs, so they had it easier in the freezing weather, but without a comb standing up a chicken looks different - a slim look to the head.

HRH went to the doctor, the doctor told him he felt better :? and suddenly he feels better. I've seen this phenomenon before, but usually in children! Yesterday, HRH was planning on questioning whether the procedure did any good, and now he's agreeing with dr that things are just as expected, everything's good. Anyway, won't see this dr again - released.

Pharmacy one had gotten my prescription mixed up, substituting the new thyroid prescription for the existing one until the existing one expired. Thankfully, my doctor's nurse understood me when I explained that to her and she handled it right away. I was wondering if they were going to insist on a visit, but they didn't. We picked up the prescription after his appt.

Also dropped off the tax info for both households to the preparer. So glad to be handling this in a timely manner. Can't close estate until obvious monies like this - whether it turns out it's payment or refund - are over. Happy to have posted in PaperTaming thread that this is done.

Eating is good today. Keeping track. Took a bite of brownie and spit it out as soon as I realized! Brownies aren't on the menu!
