Well, we're actually all friends every day of the week. But perhaps today we can put an emphasis on all those dear friends in our lives.
I'm up, s2s, blood sugar tested (very good -89), bed made. Oh, still need to dress my feet.

Then breakfast and coffee.
You're right, Harriet, I'm sure dh didn't get any info after his scan yesterday, but he was strangely quiet last night. I'm hoping he'll hear from his own Dr. by Monday or so.
I have to go to church to work on the Sunday bulletin this morning. Didn't make it last Friday -just plain overslept from being tired & not feeling up to snuff. No excuses today. Have to make a Wal mart run for water and then going to see dsisil.
Have a wonderful, friendly day!

Up, s2barefeet. Dgirls will be here for bfast in about 20 minutes. (They're next door - but don't want to use the door that joins the rooms.)
We thoroughly enjoyed Magic Kingdom yesterday, even dh joined a break out dance group at one point - w/ dd18 and GG.
I think one more day of amusement parks and dh and I will be set up for a few years. I think 2 days is the right amount for dh and me.
Today - Universal Studios. Dh is out -- off I go!

Glad you're enjoying Disney, Helia. We probably don't do Disney as most would. Since it's only 40 minutes away, have season passes and doesn't cost us to park (it's $14/day now!!) we go over for a few hours and see/do things we wouldn't normally do if we were trying to get so much in, in a day or two. Just nice entertainment for us. Sometimes we just go over for a particular show. We did do Animal Kingdom this weekend and I really did nothing there except walk and keep up.

Of all the parks, that's the roughest for me. DD and I went on the Safari ride last week but it jarred my back way too much so didn't go with the Dks/dgks this week, though I would have loved to watch dgs19mos. Guess he was thoroughly thrilled. Have fun at Universal.

I was really late to bed last night. Decided on a home day - not drive way away to yoga now tai chi has restarted, besides - i need a day when I'm not rushing anywhere.
washing done - even in and all away.
some weeding.
online meeting - my first in a long while.
ph calls w dd and a friend, who had her own home day. friend said her mother in rehab is sounding/ looking much better, and strict visiting times meant she won't be visiting during ot time. Moving around, and doing things for herself seem to be major tasks. There is a kitchen for her to make a cuppa, etc. She can stay there 4 wks. perhaps her dds will see if she can learn to manage at home - earlier they had thought her days of living on her own were over.
11pm - its still 31c / 88f in here.
I need switch this monster off and get ready for bed.
Good night

Good Morning!
I've been following time slot since I woke up this morning. After 5 hours of maxing out of being productive, I decided to give myself a break. Bottle of water, cup of coffee and apple slices are my choice for snack.
Been txting with DD. She has discovered that paying vehicle insurance without a bank account or credit card to be a challenge. It seems the insurance companies won't accept cash.

After much back-forth, the solution we finally came up with was getting a Visa gift card from WM. She put the cash onto the Visa gift card then the insurance will let her pay using the card.
Cards due today = 39
# Cards completed = 88
% Cards completed = 69%
Papers processed = 0
Healthy Habits completed = 55%

I've been busy getting all the organizational issues set up for the Deacon's board. I've also been coping pages for the Handbook for the newbies.
Today at 8:30 AM, I received an email from Pastor. Very beloved person in the community passed and could I pull together a funeral reception for 150 by 3 tomorrow? Yikes!! Talk about baptism by fire.
Cake in the oven, emails sent to board and away we go. I didn't want to clean my house today anyway.
Best get to the store - I have permission to buy sweets and the community center is going to supply finger food.

Sadie, that's cool!
OKay, how silly that sounds - to hand cash and have it rejected. I sort of understand about a hotel, since you might hurt something in the room and never be seen again. But car insurance is an ongoing agreement.
Have heard nothing from hospital today. Yesterday was exhausting but others are there now.
Here is a link to something I always used to wonder and worry about as a homemaker. It's a link posted yesterday on CNN to an article with a video taken in a Russian grocery store in 1986. This seems especially bleak, so I have to wonder if anyone knows if this was typical, or if it was taken because it was then news of a particularly bad time. After I saw the 1984 movie, Moscow On the Hudson, based on events of its own time, in which Robin Williams plays a Russian man who stands in line to buy toilet paper for his family, I thought for a long time about wishing I could carry a Russian family along with me to a local grocery and let them shop to heart's content. As if that would help or was possible. Anyway, very interesting slice of life to see this video.
