5 is a helpful number! Five is not unforgiving or intimidating, and if you lose something you wrote five things on, you can probably remember them again! You can finish five pretty quickly, and file it away as a timely success, as P and P suggested.
P and P suggested to those starting a dream of becoming more organized:
Write down 5 reasons you want to be organized.
Then write down 5 general areas of your life/home that bother you the most.
and then get started with the daily practice of writing down 5 things you will get done!
Knowing you intend to get 5 significant things done by 5 o'clock (or the time you choose) is a great way to start a day full of possibilities, whether you come up with the 5 the evening before, or the morning, or jot down through the day what you intend for tomorrow.
Are there are a few things you know you will accomplish today?

Can't narrow it down to five things!
On the other hand, I have exercised (my body is one of the things that needs improvement here), tidied the bedroom, wiped the ash out of the oven and am s2s and having my tea.
Dh is supposed to eat as fast as he can so I can start washing the kitchen and foyer floors. Then I'll vacuum and dust the bedrooms and swipe down the bathrooms. I need to be able to show the real estate agent that I can do my part to help the house show well.

My 5x5 cards have been helping me more than usual lately. I have been making a check beside each completed thing in RED. Maybe that is motivating!
I always get lots more done, and dailies are always ongoing, as is Focus (outdoor this week) declutter, and of course it's the surprises that take a lot of time
but writing down 5 things keeps me AWARE of CHOICES to meet specific needs right now. As lucylee said yesterday, sometimes you don't get all 5 done. But you're managing your choices and adding in other things. It's all good.
Today I will:
Return shoes
Call bank
Press crocus petals
Extra laundry load
Shuttle service for volleyball practice
I've been waiting on the purple striped crocus to bloom before pressing petals and I'm about to miss the bloom of the yellow, I think. I'd forgotten that they have such different bloom times. Hopefully, I'll see the first few purples today as well and can get them both done. My African Violet is responding beautifully to the AV food, too, and I'd be willing to part with a couple blooms from it. Maybe soon I can post another bookmark photo in A, C and N thread.
Mr. Bluebird appeared outside my kitchen window today. First day he's back this spring. I've never known where their family nests but they are our consistent backyard neighbors and scan the yard from the electric line that enters my house, easily in view when I work at the sink.
Enjoyed imagining Kathryn's potential space.
Hope today is not as crazy, helia!
Editing to say I happened to eat my breakfast in the office today and glanced to see if there was a youtube of interest. I was able to glance at the new (as of mid-2013) BBC program Britains's Biggest Hoarders, which I don't think I'd have a chance to see except for this surprising availability on computer. I can see this is quite different from US programs with the word "hoard" in their titles - calm, one-on-one, very little time pressure, and of course a language barrier for me, lol. Charming but baffling sometimes, although I can usually get the meaning of the words after a while. This one said Series 1 Episode 1 although there seems to be an understanding that the viewer knows organizer Jasmine has previously shown her own mother's struggle with clutter on film. So don't know about that yet.
Started discussing why ever watch this type of program, but decided to move it to Decluttered Home.

1. Attend final Master Gardener class. This class will complete the 2 year certification project.
2. Social Security office during lunch to get LO name changed
3. Goodwill to drop off two 50 gallon bags of items that have been decluttered. OUT of the house it goes!
4. Sam's - stock up on canned vegetables. Those pantry shelves are empty.
5. Contact DGS18.

Morning y'all..
Harriet I seldom write things I need to do any more. Usually I organize my thoughts prior to bedtime of what I want to accomplish the following day. And on Sundays I spend time thinking about what if anything special I want/need to do for the next week, especially outside projects. I use my desk calendar blotter to keep track of appointments or special events. Working as a sub I have to keep my week flexible.
After working out of my box for years my house blessing is already automatic and I still tend to stick to it. As for my. Big gathering I did use index cards to plan out my week and I am pleased that I am ahead of schedule. I always plan for a headache day which is necessary. Good thing as I battled one all thru the night on Monday night. I did plan to do my house blessing yesterday, but it didn't happen. Instead I shifted days and did what I planned for today.
I use the notebook app on my phone to write down thoughts and ideas for later projects or writing ideas. My phone is usually closer than paper and pen and I find I use it more and more.
It is suppose to rain all day on sat. Half of my guess live in my community. I need to find some kind of container for umbrellas. One the other hand most people living in az have neither an umbrella or raincoat. I am hoping the rain will stop as many like my covered patio to gather in. The rain would be ok but the wind is another story.
Ok, morning routines done, footprints picked up, one doggie fed and need my second cup of coffee and then I'm ready to start. I have a jungle of sunflower seedlings I need to separate, but they will have to wait till next week. My three year old bulbs are blooming...better late than never.... And after this weekend's rain, the desert will be ready to bloom. It is a very special time of the year.
Enjoy your day... Time to crank up the music and boggie... Cy'all later

I'm pausing for a moment because 1) I'm tired and 2) dh is on a conference call so I can't vacuum the kitchen before cleaning the floor.
Upstairs is good to go. Tossed out a few things of visual clutter and tucked others away. Not perfectly clear surfaces but better than they were yesterday morning. One thing tossed was a box of kleenex from my Dad's (he died almost 10 years ago.) I gave it to him a year before he died. It is "men's" kleenex (each tissue is the size of a man's handkerchief.) It was expensive (i.e. more than $1) and a nice box so I've had it in the spare bathroom for guests. It is still half full - I think no-one wanted to use it so I've just tossed it.
I've also quick polished the silver that is out on display. So it's looking a bit brighter wherever you come across that in my house.
My snack is almost done now so I will get moving again. I can continue to tidy the kitchen and maybe focus on getting more things off the counters. I hate to do that because we use the stuff on the counters daily (that's why it is there.)

SO distracted today. . . I have s2s-ed, reclaimed the kitchen, answered a Hebrew translation question for a dfriend. That took a lot longer than I thought it would. Have fielded a couple short emails (other than the Hebrew question) and a phone call. I skipped WW, even though my weight is down according to my scale; I got in the shower too late to go this morning. I'll go Friday instead, even though I don't like that leader as well.
Dfriend B will be here in about 1.5 hours to go for a walk with me! We walk for a good 1.25 or so hours. Before she gets here, I must:
- start crockpot
- prep for meeting with mentoree
- have lunch
Finishing the a.m. routine would be nice but not a must.
5x5 - I like doing that! Here's my 5:
1. crockpot going
2. answer Hebrew question
3. prep to meet with mentoree
4. walk with dfriend B
5. meet with mentoree
We're having sunshine which makes the cold a bit more palatable.
Off I go!!

I have done a few things, did a morning round. Wishing the sun was out it is supposed to be. I realized I have been stuck some things I can do nothing about like the weather, other things I can change like putting things away, tossing stuff, and getting items ready to take with the next load of donations and hanging up coats putting away scarves!
I made a mental note of some of things that drag me down like war time shows, drama watchng reruns etc. News so I turned off the tv. Maybe I can reward myself with some reading and yd. Work today. Thinking of other things that excite me and help like getting the new chicks inthe spring looking forward to some potential changes that are bound to happen spring dgd starting school.

Good Morning Dear Ladies,
DH is out again but this time he let me be out of my sling as long as I don't do anything. So I'm surfing the net for now.
I did my first part of exercises, debating if I'll do my pulley part when DH gets back. Am a little sore from yesterday's workout.
And it's work day for me too.
Waving to all!
