From Middle English sundry, sondry, sindry, from Old English syndriġ (“separate, single; sundry, various, distinct; special, private, peculiar, exceptional, particular; characteristic; (distributive) one each”), from sundor (“asunder, apart, separately”), equivalent to sunder + -y. Cognate with Low German sunderig (“single, special”), Middle High German sunderig (“separate, special, private”), Swedish söndrig (“broken, tattered”).
Wondering at the many sundry plans for today within our village.
I find it interesting the twinning of old languages into our present day.

Harmony, up north we have nearby medical loan closets. Is there such a thing down here? Usually Lions Clubs have them. Hoping for good answers for Mr. Harmony.
I am trying to make my Sunday special set apart for qt, no kids here so it is a bit more private for us. It was distinct bc I shoveled snow just a skiff. Some various tasks have been done chicks & chickens. Turn on dishwasher soon as h. Gets up. Journaling is done.
I have meal plans for the day so that helps. 27* - 40* today's temperature range. 50's the rest of the week to look forward to.
I got up earlier today getting ready for the time change next weekend I guess. I just woke up on my own. Took rx and started my day.
Tomorrow is Mike's birthday. That means that I have until midnight to clean the spare room. The table is covered in paperwork and receipts. I also want to do 2 loads of towels and possibly the bed sheets.
Yesterday I moved 3 clear garbage bags full of various towels and pillow cases and a set of flannel sheets into the storage area.
Last night we saw dd, a few of her friends and my x. It was snowing like crazy on the way home. Even though it was blowing and the salt trucks and plows hadn't been out yet, I was unusually calm. When Mike asked, I just said that I had had such a nice visit with my dd that nothing could change my blissful mood.
I wonder if last night's snow accumulation counts as "coming in like a lion" even though it was 24 hours late.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.
I think we are going to the Hoover dam today and to a show tonight. This afternoon we'll do some casino activity-that is dh's deal but I will engage in some cheap slot machine activity.
Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every new year find you a better [wo]man. Ben Franklin
Oh, Twins, I remember seeing the dam. What an amazing place.
Lynlee, I'm glad you are recovering from your fall and so glad you did not break anything.
About the wheelchair, remembering what Harriet said about her Aunt's hallway, I checked on it in our master bathroom, and the tight spot between the end of the bathrub and the sink cabinets is now accessible. Before, DH's wheelchair I'd rented would not go around that corner to get up to the sinks but now he could do that if ever he needed to stay in a wheelchair. Or me. Who knows what our future holds? What I don't like, which probably makes it smaller, is that there are no large wheels for the passenger to turn and must be pushed from behind or "walked" along with the passenger's own feet.
He only uses a wheelchair for very long distances. He has been using a wheeled walker for a while now and is very smooth with it and we have to tell him to slow down. He is practicing with a cane in therapy.
I was up early enough to go to church, but my heart was just not into it so I stayed in bed a bit. Last evening as I was leaving the building at 8:15 I was so tired it seemed like a chore to walk across to my car. I was surprised at how I was feeling. So today I took it a bit slower.
Washed last 6 sheets and hung them up.
Folded & hung up LOL.
Soaked and washed stuff I brought home last night.
I finished the last chapter in my book & wrote in my book journal.
Got caught up in my regular journal. I'm sure these past weeks will be interesting to look back on.
I'm still in my PJ's so I will get ready to go now. I've heated up my supper and ate.
Had to leave message with drs. office ans. svc. DH was supposed to get his staples out today and nurse said he was ready but they hadn't gotten the drs. orders yet. Sigh...I guess that was another thing WE should have checked on since nothing gets done in this place unless we see to it. I know he is disappointed. The staples are uncomfortable a lot.
My intentions of going to church, or even going to the baby shower at 2 have evaporated. HRH was at the hospital for hours last night and didn't get home until after midnight, hungry. He'd brought his own Waffle House hamburger (not the right thing for him to eat but available) and didn't need me to wait up, but I did. There was a lot to talk about, too, of course, and we didn't hit the hay until 1. Dd15 was to be ready for church at 10 a.m. at her friend's house, so that I could pick her up.
But instead of finding me ready when she hopped in the car, well, I just hadn't had the gumption after a late night. Ultimately, I carried the wrapped gift, the pink and white pretzels and mixed nuts and left them in the fellowship hall. My contribution was not going to be a big deal, and I'm not close to the expectant mother, who is likely to have a big crowd there anyway. I'd already told the lady making the list of food contributions that my dfil was in the hospital, so she's only expecting dropped-off food.
