Quiet morning here, altho it's almost not morning anymore.

We have invited friends over for burgers tonight. We actually want to ask their opinion re: the built-in style that dh wants that I'm not so sure of. So we'll see what they think.

I'm going to work on a.m. routine a little while. Dd is heading out for a concert tonight that is a couple of hours away. She will be back here to sleep tonight, then back to school tomorrow a.m. early.

I am going to see dsis tomorrow.

Leapy Lee the calico cat let me sleep until almost 8 today, a true luxury.

I'm doing some catch-up on computer stuff since I didn't have one with me the last 3 days at sewing camp.

Thanks for starting us. At lunch I noted there was no thread but it is hard to post using my phone.

I'm up. (Good thing since I've been to church, lunch, shopping.)

Church went well, nice coffee hour after with our church family, then off to lunch at Tim Horton's (I haven't had the chili in a while) and finally St*ples and Wm*rt for stickers to put on boxes and meat for tomorrow's dinner.

I've changed out of my church clothes and there is a load of laundry on now.

I chose a packet of fluorescent green/yellow/orange/pink stickers for 4 rooms and rolls of blue and red duct tape for another two. In total we have 10 rooms (if you count the large front foyer and bathrooms) but I only have 6 colours. I could go back for purple duct tape (it wasn't at the second store) but I think I'll just put the bathroom things in our bedroom as well. I got enough stickers for 26 boxes, assuming I put 3 on each box (top and two sides.)

Today we are taking the office further apart and dh would like to sell 2/3 of his desk so we are figuring out if that is possible. The final third is free standing (it used to be a U-shaped desk) so it might be feasible. We'll set up the desk as an L-shaped desk and offer it up for sale along with the other office desk, a bed and some chairs.

We are getting to the point where we will have to list where furniture will go so that we know we aren't placing too much in any given room so I might rearrange the guest room within the parameters of the new guest room and see if my childhood desk and bookcase will fit. That would give me my own 'space' in the new place.

So lots of furniture shifting is going to happen today.

I'm very tired today. I'm just crocheting on a gift and am pen palling today. There's not enough laundry to do a load. Will dust mop later, need to do stretching and yoga moves. It's a quiet laid back day here. DH is watching the car races and the baseball games. We keep updated on the Oso mudslide and rescue efforts there, how much water's coming up and they said 1-square-mile of mud slid, trapping 16 homes, at last count. The mud's like moving quick sand, too. So rescue efforts are very dangerous. It's very devastating to see the pictures on TV. We've had the wettest March on record.

Hi, everyone.

Yesterday we had a morning family "workday" around here. And at noon dstepson's family arrived to spend the afternoon. I went with them (and dd15) to watch dstepson and dd play frisbee golf at a park that has made a course through a tall-pine forest. Lovely surroundings and very nice nature walk that included sweet little bridges over streams. Dstepgd and I found wild violets.

Ivy, I had thought of our villagers along the northwest coast when I heard that report, also family of some villagers.

Dh and I impulsively invited friends over for burgers tonight, hoping they will give us some input on the built-ins for our Gr Room. I keep second guessing myself about what we want, while dh is ready to get someone building these. I have about two hours before they come. The house is in not-too-bad shape and I am trying to get better at doing impromptu invitations without freaking out.

We have hummus/chips/crackers and a round of brie, then will have burgers, sweet pot fries and salad, with strawberries/angel food cake/vanilla yogurt topping for dessert.

Dh has gone to Lowes or HD to get shelves for garage. I don't know where that immediacy came from.

My new favorite phase is one I saw Friday on Pinterest:

-cut up berries and add a little sugar
-make bed, straighten MBR
-do a little straightening all around (kitchen, kitchen table, desk, what else?)
-salad
-purge refrigerator and wipe out?

Last night's forgot to eat thsy never happens to me! Bs was not as good as I had hoped when I got up.

Got a smart TV for the cave and got it going last night.
I hit the jackpot at the thrift store got 3 bags of yarn.
I opened one up it was soiled bagged it up to toss it TV and when I woke up I remembered how I used to wash skeins so I've washed it upcame out great as far as can tell. A nice no dye lot sage green acrylic.

Cleaned up some on the patio unloaded concrete blocks for the project counts as ex. Taking a breather.If any of you keep knitting / crochet yarn project diaries I would love to hear about them! Will be posting more on this in the craft thread later.

Nancy, How do you wash skeins of dirty yarn, without it falling apart or unraveling? I have 1 bin, where the yarn smells like an odor. I've been using dryer sheets, to try to refresh it, but it still stinks. If I could wash the yarn, wash the been with disinfecting wipes, it'd probably solve my problem.

I put on SPF 50, grabbed my wrap-around glasses, cell phone, 2 letters that were ready to mail, and my trekking poles with my sports athletic fanny pack. It's for an outdoors person. I trekked 1 mile in 20 minutes, as fast as I could, without bringing on an asthma attack. The sunshine felt good. I'm trying to build up the upper body strength by using the trekking poles, as well as cardio.
