Mannered Monday

I would definitely need to go shopping if I were to throw panties at anyone.
My lingerie drawer does NOT look like a Victoria's Secret display. - lucylee
Ahem.
Gentlewomen, let us strive with all determination to make sure that any panties we may loft upon the stage of life are clean, and from an ordered drawer. Let us insure that there is enough fabric at those seams to reassure all who may sweep them up that yes, decorum persists. Let those who push those brooms remain confident that women of breeding and gentility have passed this way, out here throwing this underwear.
Beyond that, ladies let us hike up our big-girl panties, and embark now upon a proper Monday.

LOL Harriet!
I have underwear to spare although my underwear drawer is a mess. But some how I don't think my underwear suggests romance. It suggests grandma!
I am awake. That's it. Slept well so am hoping for a great day. It is certainly starting with a smile so it is off to an excellent start.

woohoo
such an exhibit, surely there are not the exhibitionists here. Maybe they post in disguise so we do not recognise them.
I have one pile of undies. I add to the bottom of the pile, and any not worth wearing for any reason other than colour need to be tossed. I have 2 rows of bras. ones with hooks, the others crop / exercise style. Again - add to the back of the drawer and push them forward. Any I don't want to wear, not ever, need to go. There is one in that category. Though I might try it again in case it needed to just be washed a bit more to feel comfortable.
You could say I like tidy drawers. Pity about the rest of the house.
Monday

LOL!! You ladies are a hoot! How fun to come here this morning and read your humor. I have to admit, I have been to many concerts, but I've never ever seen underwear thrown on stage. I will do my best to be well mannered today. At least I will probably not be throwing my underwear anywhere - except for in the washing machine as I do laundry today.
I don't know George Strait, but the concert DID sound lovely, lucylee. I'm not a big country music fan, myself, but Dh likes some country music.
a.m. routine is in progress - but not done yet, even though it is 11 already. .. Wow! I thought it was 10. . .
Dh leaves on a trip to Europe this evening, work in England and then a day with his father in NL.
Dh is returning his exam from last week to his classroom students today. The score spread: 10 - 57. Yes, that is out of 100 points. He is known for being a tough grader and giving tough exams, but he is wondering if this one may have been over the top. Of course, he curves. He said standard deviation was good so he felt he got a good point spread, just over lower scores.
My goals for today:
- laundry; it is in process now so dh can have what he needs for his trip.
- Hebrew translation
- maybe groc. store; at least Trader Joes run
- Hebrew class
Off to finish the a.m. routine.

Just a quick note this morning as it is Woodcarver's Week and I need to get moving.
Breakfast and dog walk done - now I need to wet down my bedhead and get moving.
Some of you have seen the picture of my giant blue agave bloom stem rising up into the sky. It will get about 10 - 15 ft. before it blooms. I am trying to take a picture every other day to show the growth. I was so hoping one of mine would bloom this year. After it blooms, the plant will die so I won't have to thin it out.
Time to go!!!

It is back to normal schedule for us today. LO returned to school (from spring break). Last night I turned the 19 alarms back on to help me stay on track.
Yesterday the CPA called with our taxes ready to be picked up. I'm over-the top THRILLED to have those done, especially this early (for me) in the tax season. Today I printed out the weekly statement for DH showing up-to-date assets/liabilities to give him net worth figure. He doesn't want to see the sea of details - just the bottom line.
This week starts LO ball practice. The final tournament is scheduled for 2nd week of June. That means for the next 12 weeks we will spending approx 8 hours a week at ball park.

Good morning! You ladies are so funny

. First
Kathryn gave me a giggle about disappointing her hubby while stripping & remaking the bed, then
Lucylee posted her pantie throwing comment, & now
Harriet &
Lynlee have put a humorous spin on that

. Fortunately, I'm with
Helia on this -- the only tossing of panties around here today is happening in the laundry room!
Hi
MT -- belated congrats on your new doggy addition to the family! I smiled when you described Dakota dancing when she knows you are getting ready to go for a walk.
Hi
OKay -- good job on getting your taxes done early!
I was able to invest a few good sessions into that old filing cabinet last week & am into the "M" section.
Twins you were right -- I was able to toss so much. The shredder got a good workout, too. Even though the calendar shows that it's a new zone week, I'm going to stick with this project because I want the satisfaction of having it done.
There goes the traveling barker! About a month ago dh & I noticed that, several times a week, someone drives along the road with a barking dog. I don't know how the driver stands the noise, because the dog barks loudly & nonstop. To us it sounds like woofwoofwoof
WOOFWOOFWOOFwoofwoofwoof as he fades in, drives by, & fades out
Tea break is almost over (and in keeping with the Mannered Monday theme I will sip with my pinky properly extended, heehee). Waving ~~~~~ to everyone. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Good start but stalled.
I've s2s (and given that didn't happen until 3 on Saturday, it isn't a small accomplishment!) had breakfast, watered the plants, tidied the kitchen, tidied the bedroom and swished the bathroom. Visited for a short while with Surfer Dude's mom. Also have masked off the things I want to paint with chalkboard paint. Will do that just before I leave for choir practice.
Have had some interest in the furniture I put up yesterday but nothing solid. Someone wanted both desks but then backed out. Someone else wanted one of three chairs and for me to deliver. I refused since I'm only asking $15 for the chair and it was a half hour drive for me to deliver. Sigh.... all will work out, I just have to be patient. I'll repost just after the new month in order to grab those who have just moved and need more furniture. In the meantime, I'll be thankful I have room for it all here.

Hello dear ladies
Another chilly morning but looks like its going to be a very nice day.
My arm feels .......wonderful!
Cooked macaroni and eggs this morning and made a salad,
There is so much to do in this house and I so feel like doing it but know I have to pace myself and take breaks or I will be hurting.
Working on laundry and I need to really get taxes worked on today too.
I'm wearing the sling and pillow still at night time. I wear the sling with no pillow to work. During the day at home I don't wear the sling.
