MOTIVATING MONDAY

What is your motivation today? Mine will simply be (I hope this is the only major thing) getting dh to the dentist for his 4 teeth to be pulled and getting him resting once back home. I do need to do a LOL -our sheets definitely need to be stripped, washed and put back on. It's time!
Only got that short paragraph done & realized I hadn't turned off the onboard mouse. That's when I get into trouble with posts being erased if I don't do it. Dh has been out painting the deck for quite some time. Not sure when he's seeing his boss but I have a feeling it's before we go to the dentist. Praying here for peace of mind.
Beautiful sun out there.
Oh no, Ivy -sorry this dratted water situation was on your mind. My worry now is MOLD. This will be a matter of utmost prayer over the next few days. Hoping our RV guy can make it out here sometime today (after we get back from the dentist).
Have to also get dh's clothes from the water mishap washed today -do we have a "phew!" icon?
Off to get s2s -at least have had my meds and can start my day.

I have plants to put in the new kitchen gardening omm this week. Got lavendar, ch. Mint, toms. Yellow & red snaps thyme & rosemary. Should be fun!
H. Was looking up building patio covers on u tube last night. He is al ready thinking of the next ptoject!

Love reading your gardening adventures, Nancy. I would really like to put some pots along the back of our deck (on the ground) with tomatoes, cukes & peppers perhaps. Dh has planted on the backside of our berm and I just can't climb it to get to them -and last summer he couldn't either -thus they pretty much went to waste.
Stripped our bed & thought I'd get up to the laundry room early to get them going -wrong. So I brought them back and will have to try again after dh goes to the dentist. If it's still busy perhaps I'll just load all the laundry & go to town. It would probably be cheaper except for the gas to get there.
It's been a pretty 'touchy' morning -think dh is probably more uptight over having all his teeth pulled and his encounter with his boss than he even knows. I'm not even sure at this point if he's talked with dcampowner yet or not. I figured it would be early this morning, but I'm not sure he's been away from painting the deck. He's gone to get his hair cut right now. Then he 'figures' on coming back after his teeth are pulled to finish painting.

All best wishes to Mr. DeeClutter!
Have spent a lot of the morning trying to help young chickens understand the enclosed ramp works to go inside OR outside! The two worlds are connected! It's an advanced concept! They will step onto the ramp if I reassure them from inside, but only walk onto the grass if I call them from out there and hold out the waterer or feeder in their view. Once outside, the outdoor world is familiar, and the ramp is suspicious again!
Sunny, that is interesting - I have known women called Birdie. Real names Alberta and Brigitta (Brigida?), I believe.
From "The Impossible Just Takes Mom a Little Longer" department:
Dd was sketching with her best stylus last evening, the only one that will work on a Kindle, $30 to replace. It dropped and she thought she felt it land beside her thigh - not a problem, but she didn't see it. Her couch afghan was under her, though crumpled, so she just knew there was nothing wrong. She stood up and turned but the stylus wasn't there. She shook the afghan out - it didn't fall. She ended up searching the couch into every crevice, underneath, all around. She was in tears because it was right before exams.
Exams mean 5 hours in absolute quiet at the same desk with proctors around to make sure you don't disturb others. She's already learned sketch pads are a "no". (gasp) Only books or reading devices allowed after the exam. So only the stylus can rescue her from sketching withdrawal all week! This morning, I started searching odd places, moving farther and farther from the couch, under distant furniture. I had the idea that if she shook out the afghan too vigorously, it weighs so little it might have flown. Finally I looked UP and there it was - when the afghan was shaken, it landed higher, on a shelf! I was a hero. Of course I was. I am MOM.
Still no baby news. Dd34 is surely weary and uncomfortable by now. Dsonil says at least it will be nice to have each person in their family born in different months, rather than 2 of the boys in May. Tomorrow is the ultrasound.
So I'm facing a week with final exams, plus HRH's procedure Wednesday. Dd34 and I briefly discussed my visit being postponed until they return home from the hospital with the baby. Wish I had a crystal ball! Both ds and dstepson are trying to manage work responsibilities so that one of them could be HRH's transport, but it won't be easy, and really I am the best choice.

I have so much OMM today; it's one of those Mondays where I don't know where to start. OMM:
-get house back together
-laundry
-purge refrigerator
-desk day
-dsis' house issues
-a handful of temple issues
-pick up ds at 4:15ish, go by temple before or after to sign cks?
-dMacs' PT appt at 11 a.m.
-eat healthy initiative begins today!
-routines
-10K steps?
So overwhelmed! Lucky I have a slow week going. Hoping that dh and ds will settle on a car soon so I don't have to schlep ds around...
I am setting a timer and working to BOTH, 10:30 on house, routines in general, and getting ready to take dMacs to PT.

Another HERO MOM! Yay, Harriet! Hugs to you as you go through this week btw and to HRH and to DD and finals, etc and to dd34 and her little family.
Wish dh would get back here to take his antibiotic. He needs it 1 hour before his teeth pulling adventure -appointment at 11am and it's now 10:10. Tapping foot, but you know I won't say anything -he knows.
Think I'll start taking things out of the front cabinets since I'm antsy. If I at least get them all into the bins, THEN I can start sorting and hopefully ridding us of some things.

Moms to the rescue!! WTG Harriet!
I probably should make a list of OMM so I can work by priority, however I think seeing it all together would have opposite effect of motivating me. It would probably just verify that I'm overwhelmed and I'd respond by shutting down. Sooooo for today I'm going to focus on accomplishments with hopes that as I see things being done, it will motivate me to keep on.
Accomplishments -
** Updated church FB group with Sunday service recap & pictures, information and pictures of upcoming adult study options, added 5 members to the group.
** Sent email about Wednesday night meal at church
** Placed Amazon order for 500 blank CD's and 1000 CD sleeves. These will be used to record church sermons for those who miss or want to listen again. This is a test order to see how these CD record. Been getting about 10% failure in CD's purchases from other places.
** Worked on Bed #8 in garden. Weeded, mulched, fertilized and decluttered. this bed contains 12 bell peppers with the end of the bed along the rock walkway filled with flowers. Took pictures of bed and updated garden journal.
** Breakfast made/ate together at table/cleaned up. Muffins, scrambed eggs/bacon, OJ & milk.
** Monitored LO doing his AM cards
** Mentored LO moving clothes from washer to dryer, cleaning dryer lint screen, adding dryer sheet, turning dryer knob to right setting and starting it

OKay, I make lots of jokes about it, but your second paragraph is exactly what can happen to me if I carry a list to its logical conclusion of ... ... too long. I am not particularly fragile or queasy over much - can do the tough, the dirty, the sad, the messy, just plowing right through. But visual overwhelm will send me under the covers. Yay cards, yay divide-and-conquer. TaDa listing is very bright.
Speaking of ordering - I ordered a second pair of the Skechers shoes with Memory Foam last night. I highly recommend these. They are lace-up in a way (the cord that looks like lacing but actually is expandable and self-contained with no tying). The most consistently comfortable shoes all day long - really remarkable. Noticed they have very high marks from all comments for their comfort. I get the black and then can wear everywhere. I was thinking of recommending the white to ddil for long days at the hospital.

I'm home from PT with dMacs. He is worn out, but had a good workout I think.
I'm also in agreement with OKay and Harriet. I keep thinking of additional OMM things and it's not pretty.

Ta das
-ds to work
-dMacs to PT and home again
-sorted laundry and started a lol
-started dishwasher
-cleared breakfast bar counter
-progress on kitchen counter clean up
-ordered a paperback book for my sister to be mailed to nursing home
-talked to dneighbor - their kitty is missing....
I need a grocery trip this afternoon too. If I am to eat better I need to get better food into the house.
I am going to work Pomodoro rounds, 25 min on, 5 off. I am test driving Tomighty software on my PC.
