Happy Arrivals Tuesday

Lynlee gave me this title as I read her post from (my) last night and (her) morning. She had thought of a couple arrivals - Kathryn's expectancy regarding their furniture and our family expecting an arrival of a bundle of joy.

Well, the phone rang just before my five-something alarm this a.m. We are the proud grandparents of an 8 pound 4 ounce baby boy; both Mama and baby are happy and healthy after a 4-hour, simple labor. So dd15 and I are getting ourselves together, lol, and planning a skim-by-the-school morning of travel.

How will your day arrive? What are the events that will make up your parade of daily adventures - PODA - today? Do you feel expectant today? :)

Congratulations to the Harriet family. Welcome to the newest member of the boy tribe. I'm thinking he will be in a hurry to catch up with all his doting big brothers. Though not for a year or so. First up - time for him to enjoy being the baby of the family.
Safe travels for Harriet and dd.

I'm 14 hours ahead of E US time zone.

mowing, groceries were my big things for today.

still to do are my floors - PU what I can.
prep for tomorrow. early otd, and dom. ass. hot on its heels.
then get ready for bed.

My eyes are heavy. I think I'll set the timer and go for 15 on floors. then bbr.

To Dee - thing - good spotting of dd re dgd's fb. If any parent needed a heads up you would give it. How the new family responds - thats the part up to them.

Elizabeth - I'd be annoyed about x;s invite to my b'day too. I bought a similar cd when I retired :?: from work. Only at the time I thought I was just having time out after my brain quit with stress.

Kathryn - Here's hoping its a day of things smoothly slotting into place.

Congratulations on the new arrival, Harriet. So glad dd15 is going to be able to go -he was just waiting I see! :D Our very best to this little family of yours!

I'm up and was trying to decide if I was going in for lab work this morning. Decided against it. The 'arrival' of my mammogram is at 9:45 today and one 'stressful' trip is good enough for one day. I am a very difficult 'draw' and never look forward to it -well I guess none of us "look forward to it". ;)

It sure looks like rain this morning but I don't think it's supposed to.

Had our church council meeting last night. We have a congregational meeting on Sunday to discuss and vote on the expenditure for a new sanctuary roof and a major renovation inside for the ceiling and all that entails. Know the architect estimated costs around $75,000 and the board of trustees had the congregation ok $100,000. But it's sounding like the bids may be twice that, which is a whole new ball game I fear.

Have water heating so I can s2s and get ready to head out for the hospital. This is not my favorite morning.

Yay! A new board baby for us cyber aunties to spoil!

I'm awake. Slept well, just not long enough. Too much to do, but aside from moving the plants, the rest has to wait until the movers show up.

I'd better s2s now. I have collapsed the air bed and am having my tea and chocolate.

Congratulations Harriet!!

Yesterday I decided to give myself a break from alarms, so I turned them all off. Even without the alarm, I still woke up at 5am.

I've been on treadmill and then drank a cup of coffee while walking through the garden. It's kinda depressing with the plants beaten & broke, so it wasn't hard to leave after 10 minutes or so.

This afternoon is Library craft/reading time. I'll pick up one of LO friends to go with us.
This evening is LO TBall game. It is double elimination tournament, so depending on tonight win/loss he will play again Wed or Thurs evening.

Congratulations to Harriet and family!! What happy news! Yes, safe travels and enjoy the new grandbaby. :)

I need to be out the door in 15 minutes. Dfriend + her mother just left. *phew* That added another busy day to my schedule, but it was so nice to see her.

Arrivals. . .I'll be arriving at the group tutoring site in about 30 minutes as that activity has arrived once again in my schedule today. :)

So far today, I have s2s-ed, taken girls to school, chatted w/ dfriend, had b'fast. (tea and banana)

I'm happy to finally have a day to spend some time on things I need to do.

Today:
- tutor 9 - 10:30
- pick up girls around 11:30?? No one is sure when they're finished with the day's exams. Dd16 will text me after her first exam.
- trim bush
- GET CAUGHT UP ON LAUNDRY, especially towels and bedding
- library
- dd16 to oboe lesson
- put check for oboe reeds in the mail
- dinner: mac 'n cheese casserole for the girls tonight and fruit. I'll have a lean cuisine.

Yes, a day for happy arrivals! Congrats to the Harriet family on the newest bundle of boy and here's hoping happy arrivals to Kathryn today. Do the movers unpack at the apartment today?

I took the rest of the day off yesterday. I got started reading and then didn't stop until 11:30 last night. Robert E. Lee just finished at Chancellorsville. I need to not get started reading today or I will read straight through to the end of the war.
