What is your triumph for the day? Hope mine will be to get a LOL done and possibly a shopping trip. That may wait for tomorrow though -we'll see.
Have water heating for my shower and dishes. Should be almost ready. Will get my breakfast and do those after that. Dfriend was going up to do laundry by 7 or so, so will wait till 10 maybe to do my load. Think it will be a great triumph when our laundry room on this side opens. Supposedly it's ONLY for those RVers on this side of the campground and by key only. Of course there's keys to the one on the hill but somebody in the past gave out keys willy nilly and everybody & their brother has one. "Weekenders" were supposed to have to ask for a key if they had emergency laundry to do and that understandably happens, especially with all the children entailed. This new building also has men/women's showers but no bathrooms. That could be interesting..... Just sayin'.
Hope Mr. Okay's test goes well today and he can once again be comfortable.
Sending good vibes for those records to be found easily this morning, Kathryn. I get tired just reading/thinking of all you're doing!

Awwwwww, Happy She Day rightbackatcha, Twins' Mom, who put a thread over in Across the Cafe Table to commemorate the June 16 rock-bottom moment of Pam and Peggy.
My wish for Mr. OKay is ... ... round. Just round. Nothing fancy. No surprise shapes! Easy, no hassle.
Hmmm... ... combining Dee's Triumph concept and the SHE turnaround concept brings me back to a planning project I've had on my mind. I want to create a "Dailies" card for all healthy habits throughout the day in order. I'm aware of the habits I've chosen, but the best times for them often slip past, and I regret that. For instance, I want to drink most water before 5:00 p.m. and I want to take pills with food without having to add any more food! My ddad used to say, "If you want to remember something, write it down." I figure if I have the best times-of-day for small good habits written on a card, just knowing I've "scheduled" it will remind me even if it's not in sight at the moment.
Time to check the laundry. Lights today. Rest of Morning Daily Card done well. School run accomplished.

Re: TUESDAY TRIUMPH
I could use a little triumph these days!
Got a box mostly unpacked in the bedroom and put away the new-to-me laundry baskets (dd coveted my large baskets and asked to trade - they had been in the storage room at the house because they were too big for me so it was an easy decision.)
I must thank Lilac once again for talking about putting things in baskets to move over to new kitchens. I've been using those large laundry baskets for just that purpose and they were perfect. It also gave me 'permission' to be 'not perfect' and not spend the time to wrap everything coming from one home to the next.
I'm down to having just 9 boxes to unpack and the kitchen/laundry will be done (until I move the cleaning supplies from the house to here but I have a spot for those.)
I will have a lot of organizing to do once things are unpacked. Already we know we need to swap the utensil and spice drawer. And the knife block needs to be moved to the kitchen cart, once the cart is in its final position.
In the bedroom, I need to rethink the location of my underwear and socks. They are a long walk from 1) the bathroom and 2) my t-shirts and sweaters. Not sure if it is habit that is making me think they don't work where they currently reside, or if it is inefficient planning. Will think some more on that over the next month or two. The important thing is that they have a home, even if it is temporary. My jewelry box doesn't work where it is, either (and that's where it has always been but in this place it doesn't seem right.)
Gotta run and have my breakfast and then high-tail it to the house. The agent is coming for noon to take pictures and I have 7 spaces (plus garage and shed) to clean and organize before she comes (although it is unlikely she'll be taking a shot of the storage room.)

Re: TUESDAY TRIUMPH
Kathryn, I think you have done a great job with your move. You are welcome. Thanks to dd2, I have become an expert at moving kitchens.
I have to get the house cleaned this am. This afternoon the installer is coming to install our new cable boxes. When we went to the cable office last Wednesday, they came up with a deal that it was cheaper for us to get Contour with 3 cable boxes. One of them is the main box. It will record up to 6 shows at once and hold 1000. The other 2 boxes will receive a signal and you can watch things recorded on the main box. I told dh that I had a hard time getting about 30 shows watched so I could give up the old box, so I don't want to fill up the new one. I have decided that I should record all favorite shows and mark them to record all 1st run episodes. That way when we are away from home, I don't have to program them. The secret will be to daily delete any episodes that I have watched. Dh is coming home at 1, so he will be here while the installer is here. I wanted him here so that we can both learn how to operate it.
Guess I better get to cleaning, so I can then shower.

Re: TUESDAY TRIUMPH
My triumph - Its a year today since I broke my shoulder. Overall - its mending well I think.
2 loads of laundry are folded and away.
I've started a day count til next monday. I need to begin to get the spare bedroom ready for overnight guest.
Today I was asked to volunteer shift on Friday. I'm undecided.
I might see if I can be mostly prepared tomorrow, otherwise Friday will be preparation day. Saturday - there is a day long event -other side of the city - if I can get myself there. The following weekend I'll be away, so I need start planning now to have energy and essential jobs done. I may have to pass on the event this w/e as I don't think I'm up to all the driving 2 weekends running.
Kathryn - your progress is most inspiring. Its interesting the new apartment is influencing where things go.

Re: TUESDAY TRIUMPH
Lynlee, I didn't realize it had been two years already. I would have guessed it happened last fall? Board time sure does go fast sometimes.
Slept later than I wanted again today but I was still awake at 1 a.m. I'm thinking the issue was the iced tea I drank late yesterday afternoon because I didn't feel that I had a lot OMM spinning around. Today I'm doing errand day since tomorrow I"ll be on the road to see dsis. (And tomorrow I need to be on the road by 8 a.m.!)
bank
grocery
cleaners
gas the car/clean it out for trip
black printer cartridge
stakes for other tomato and squash plant
call about dmom's property tax
try to complete info for dsis' report
For now....
-breakfast
-meds/vitamins, take this morning's and refill for the week
-take out kitchen garbage to the street (dh took the can out before I got the kitchen stuff in)
-walk the poor patient ddogs
-kitchen counters

Re: TUESDAY TRIUMPH
Me too, LynLee -only it's Sunday for me.I've started a day count til next monday. I need to begin to get the spare bedroom ready for overnight guest.
Finally got that puzzle all in its box and my coffee table is now clear except for one doily. Not sure what I'll put in the center as yet. May put my "GusGus and Jake" teacup for now. DH gave it to me for Christmas. It's one of my favorite memories from my childhood. The first time I had rheumatic fever and was pretty much in bed was when Cinderella came out in film. Dneighbors bought me the 78 record & book since I couldn't go see it. Think I memorized it!
Talked quite a while with dd. She's about ready to leave tomorrow. She's leaving in the morning so she can do some wandering around the Brunswick, GA area to see where dsonil might want to find a small apartment (if he gets this job -they're sure talking like he 'has' it -the company that is). Dsonil will leave after work and is taking Thursday off.
Guess gd15 and her new "Mom" came by yesterday. "Mom" had forgotten some of her own meds and they picked up gd's meds and new prescription. Her "Mom" will get it filled as her guardian. She asked dd why all her stickers had been taken off her door. Her "Mom" reminded her, "You don't live here any more, you have a new house with us." Plus dd told her they may need to look toward selling the house sooner than later. Guess she 'got it'. They did take her ipod away for a year after they discovered some things she was 'chatting'. Good for her! It is nice that well after a decade our conversations are beginning to take on a new positive slant and we can talk about the future with good thoughts.

Re: TUESDAY TRIUMPH
Do you know where you were 20 years ago tonight? I was just reading that today was the day that O.J. Simpson was on his famous (or is that infamous) slow chase. I was lying in a hospital bed watching this unfold, hoping to take my mind off impending heart surgery. Had an angiogram that day showing 90-100% blockages. Had a heart attack the Sunday before. (Subsequently had 5 by-passes on that next Monday morning when they attempted 7. But those 2 eventually grew their own routes. And I am very grateful for a pretty healthy life since that time.)

Re: TUESDAY TRIUMPH
Skippable... Dstepgson graduated last weekend. He has been through the ringer with his mom, he moved out in w/friends after turning 18 got tired of doing free baby duty Btdt! Then his mom got restraining orders against friends. Then he applied for welfare she lost child support from sil, dstepgson filed a restraining order against his mom bc she was coming around being a pest trying to get him to move back home, he got her to lift orders against his friends. Sigh what a mess. He does not want to move in with his dad.
We knew some of this but not all and we are not surprised. Anyway he spent the week end with dd sil & sibs other grands at the motels did stuff with them. On the other side of the state.
He has 2 jobs and still was able to graduate with his class despite a challenging home life.

Re: TUESDAY TRIUMPH
I think I was miserable back them with menopause symptoms pretty bad, & mood swings. It was a very challenging time, but I DO remember O. J. driving & driving. Remember the trial, I could not take my eyes off it.
DH might be able to qualify for a new drug study, but if not, something needs to be done to bring b.s. down. It might be insulin time, too.
I am drowning in poetry, manilla envelopes, SASE's, etc.... I will be working today & tomorrow on bundles for the greeting card company. I will write an OMM list, to get better organized, but did decide to start with "Happy Anniversary!" poems first.
Decided to do 5-minute RR today, instead of 3-minute ones.
Kathryn , You "seem" triumphant, to me, b/c you've accomplished so much so far, with this move of yours. You're doing good, Gal!
Need to run/relax & have QT. Have a headache, so need my coffee.
