I read this quote and it reminded my that all the OMM planning is good, but I don't want to get stuck there.

This morning I cleared off the "Done" column from yesterday and moved 3 items over to "Ready" and "Doing" columns to focus on today.

This morning is VBS program at church. When the children were practicing on the last day of VBS, they all came up on the "stage" (aka hay wagon). When almost all the children were on it, one of the stabilizer supports gave way and the stage tilted. No one was hurt or particularly frightened but it now limits where/how the children will perform. It will be okay but just a little extra challenge to work through.

My Sam's list is long and we are completely out of several vital meal items. I really don't want to go shopping near the first of the month and especially not on a weekend.... but guess I will face the crowds at the check out lines. Maybe...just maybe I'll hit it at a good time. Unlikely, but it could happen!

Good morning, Lady M. I'm up -had a really good sleep for a change. Almost ready for church. Dh still has to get ready -he's just waiting a few to turn off the water pump outside. We got even more rain last night and quite a storm. Lots of thunder & lightening! Dh went to a Lacrosse game with DS-R, dgs9, ddil & dd -they never got it.

Just finished breakfast and am sipping my coffee in the midst of finishing getting ready. My wallet and jacket are in dd's car -left them in there last night when I left the graduation party because it was locked. Drove our car home and she stopped to get hers after the game.

Hope dsil is feeling better now, Kathryn. Glad he finally opted for some care.

Good Morning, Village Ladies!

I woke up at 6 a. m. because TWICE, I dreamed I was at my Dr.'s office, but "somehow" he knew my DH had a linoleum knife stuck in his brain, so he sent us for X-Rays. So I'm UP now! DH is getting his breakfast, he's s2s, is getting ready to drive up to Dson's, leaving around 7 a.m. and returning (he guesses) around 10 a.m. I hope he has a good traffic flow and bypasses the Seattle Seafair traffic. Since he's going so early, he probably won't have any trouble.

It's 58.1* here now, it'll be in the 80's or 90*. It's sunny out, the sky's blue, and it's beautiful.

I emailed a Happy Birthday to my Dsis, today she turns 54, and she's already received my b-day card, a sun hat, and letter from me, a few weeks ago. She loves the hat. She moved to Utah from Oregon, so since she's fair, she needed a good sun hat. At Costco, they had big brimmed ones, which cover (in the sunshine) the face, neck, chest, shoulders, and upper back. She's fair and is natural blonde now, because of the sun there. She goes rock climbing, hiking, biking, etc... too. So it'll come in handy.

I need to scrub toilets, dump trash, clean the kitchen counter, will write letters, on stories, read and crochet today.

Kathryn, I hope your Dsil is feeling better today, too.

Scratching plans for this afternoon

Trying to take a minute to post. We need to head out in a minute to the market to p/u custom coffee table.

I feel like a ping pong ball today, starting in one direction and then getting returned off in another, and another and another. We will workout this afternoon and then head out to see dd this evening in K-town.

Twins' Mom, I hope you get to feeling less like a ping pong ball as the day progresses. The table sounds lovely and maybe working out will make you feel like you're getting back to normal.

I cleaned toilets, dumped trash, cleaned the waste basket and kitchen garbage can and kitchen counters. I'm currently finishing up a pen pal letter. Hoping to get caught up. DH can mail letters on his way to the Dr. in the morning, for his pre-screening for the diabetic drug study program. Then, he'll come home, to take Dgs-11 3/4 to Costco to pick out foods he likes. He's a picky eater. They'll probably eat out there, too, as a treat for Dgs.

I don't have enough lol to do a load, not really. I'll wait until tomorrow afternoon, to "see" what Dgs needs washed up. I need to work on the Costco list, too. DH is getting me a new Sonicare toothbrush set, since my push-button's breaking in. About 1/2 of the push button's tore off, so it's on its last legs. The new set is $30 off the price, so this is a good thing. He won't be buying me any clothes, since he'll be getting the toothbrush.

Guess I'd better go finish up my letter now. The neighbor's running big equipment again. He's doing logging stuff or his winter firewood stuff. At least, with the TV on, it's not that noisy. Can hardly wait for DH and Dgs to get here. They should be rolling in here within 50 minutes. The house is quiet without them here. Our cat's probably going to be unhappy again, because she loves her empty nest and doesn't care for kids. As long as they stay away from her, she gently comes to them, to get pets and scratches and then it's a relationship made in heaven. But if kids go TO her right away, YIKES! She meows loudly, she gives dirty looks and runs away.

I made it to church much to my surprise. I only had five hours sleep.

Church was great. Then we checked out the house and I cleaned a bit.

Now at lunch then my afternoon service, then visit dsil. No word on how he is doing.

Like getting blood work they never know how much it will cost the just send the bill.

LadyMaverick, Your doing, done columns, etc.. sound like a great idea, to me. Do you do the columns on paper or an electronic to do list?

DH and Dgs-10.75-yrs. came into the garage at exactly 10 a.m., as our cuckoo clock was singing. So the traffic flow was good. Dgs is playing XBOX 360 now. He's got his GameBoy with a holder for ALL his little cartridges for the games and his tablet. It's small, is Samsung, and cute. Oh, it's giving Gma ideas!

Finished a letter to a pal, put in enclosures, am getting ready to crochet, and work on another letter after that. Need to think of things to add to the Costco list or re-copy it. I put on spiral notebooks, but DH just bought me one at Safeway. Also, I have old ones, to continue to use, until they're all filled up. I also have binder paper, so it's not a "must-have" to get more spiral notebooks. I've found 2 blank steno/new tablets, too. My, oh my! How much paper can 1 woman have? And I've got those legal pads, lined 8.5 x 11" tablets, dollar store computer stationery, regular tablet paper, from the grocery store, ruled 6" x 9" size, for smaller envelopes, and dollar tree tablets, which are small, list pads, cards, envelopes, stationery, yadda-yadda. It's great for a writer-pen-paller. So I won't actually "need" to purchase new paper/tablets/cards for probably into the New Year.

I'm on my way to crochet now and read a file folder of info I need to read/re-read for self-care and about writing, tips, info, etc.. When I'm done with that, I'll return it to my office basket and get my great room end table under control, as I read some books on it today and this week.
