SUNSHINY SATURDAY

If the sun isn't shining from the sky, may there be other sunshine in your life today.
I got up around 3am, with mosquito bites itching away. Some of these bites have resurfaced from over 2 weeks ago. I'm so sensitive to them!
My leaving for FL early is looking more & more possible. Dh talked to a friend yesterday who may want to ride down to see her parents (and then fly back). Trying to figure timing with my doctor appointment and flu shot. May try to move my appointment up a little bit. We'll see. Looks pretty positive that dh will be driving the truck of one of our campers.
51 out here this morning. Nights (at least a lot of them) have been quite cool.
Trusting Kathryn's having a good trip to her destination.

Yes, Dee, we are having a good trip.
This stop is the closest 'ocean' to our home in Ottawa and when I'm outside I can smell salt air. There is a boat going by as I type this. I'm overlooking the St. Lawrence River but here it is salt water, not fresh as it is along the Seaway where we have fish & chips. The boat that went by is a ferry that carries people over to the North Shore of the river. The nearest bridge is 2 hours away so boats and ferries are big around here.
The pool here is nothing (oversized bathtub and the elevator is rated for more people) so we'll head off to our next stop. We are taking our time so stop in Amherst tonight. I still won't be on open ocean but will be on the Bay of Fundy with its huge tides. The pool there is supposed to be quite nice but it is a weekend so it might be full of kids. This pool was last night so we didn't swim when we arrived.
Today will another 8 hours travel time including stops so we'll be there for supper time. Actually it will be a late supper because the time changes and we lose an hour.
We'll be driving by Atlantic SHE's place today around lunch time.
Now I need to poof and s2s and have breakfast.

Sunny here lovely sun rise! One more new red chick here today total of 5!

H. Is going to get chick food the feed store is next to where he works. Coop is in lock down for now. Not sure how to do this as it is our 1st batch. I put chick water and feed in the coop but they are still in the nest so I am putting in high water content fruits and veg. In for them to nibble on a bit of scratch and feed. and oat and corn meal with cooked squash I made up for em last night. Hens were nibbling on it when I left. Wondering if I need to put up a light for warmth at night. 62* out here now but the hens can keep 'em warm. Suggestions welcome.
The rest of the flock did great last night they all got along ok and settled in at dusk plenty of roosting room.
I have eggs peeled to devil. H. Has to work this a.m. yea do not have to haul off that load of branches.

Slow morning here. Snoozed for a bit in the recliner. Now I think I'm ready to be up & at 'em.
Think I'll head to Wally world for a mini shopping trip. Not worrying about using gas or putting miles on this car. Put in too much gas on Thursday. Know we won't be using it tomorrow. Have a trip with other GPers to Niagara Falls. Leave at 8:30 & get back about 6:30pm.
I meant to wish Harriet's
DD a HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY TODAY!!
Just realized that in my zealousness to empty our car, that our title and insurance papers are now in the RV!

And the registration. At least I can remedy that before we head out to get our car (hopefully) on Monday. I've almost spilled the beans many a time.

Not that it really matters. Just figured we'd have some fun with this while it lasts.

Morning ya'll
Morning Dee and Kathryn...
A happy sweet sixteen to Harriet's dd16. I remember when she was dd7
Not sure what is up for today... May just be a lazy day for me.
I may be joining Dee in a small run to WM. I have some pictures take during my trip to NJ that I want to make copies of. Also need to stop at what Norma and I have dubbed the "girlie" store.. Better known as u lta. It's the only store we know where most of the guys sit in their cars and wait for the girls to do their shopping. It's a beauty supply store and I swear in all the years I've been shopping there I have yet to see a man grace their store.
Need my second cup of coffee... I have a great book by my side and several tv shows to catch up on. In between I'll do a bit of house spiffing. Enjoy your day

Good morning, villagers ~
We need to leave for the wedding at 2:45, thus scheduling the rest of the day around that ETD.
Leapy Lee the Calico Cat had a late breakfast this morning. I stayed in bed as long as I could stand it because I know there will be no chance for a nap today, and we will be out of town until very late tonight.
I have taken care of Emails and a quick look at The Vivienne Files, one of my favorite blogs.
I want to work out and take my shower before DH is up. No problem, he usually sleeps until noon on Saturdays.
Dishes are soaking in the sink. I will wash them between exercise and s2s.
Last night I asked DH for his preference for lunch today, assuming that we will be eating supper with the family at the wedding reception. His idea was to just have snacks before driving up there. I didn't argue, but I know I can't go all day without a real meal. I am just assuming there will be a catered dinner but don't know for sure. Therefore, I'm going to have a peach and a glass of milk for brunch, and go pick up a pizza at noon. We can eat a piece of pizza for lunch today and save the rest for supper tomorrow.
This week I found a fun song,
All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor. It's a catchy tune and a fun video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PCkvCPvDXk
I wish I could find a more kid-friendly version to send to my little nieces. There are a couple language issues -- 1 sh* and a phrase about Skinny B's -- fine for sending to my DSis but not the 9 year old great-niece.

Other than that, it's really a cute video and a good dance tune.
Happy Birthday to Harriet's DD16! I hope you have a fabulous day.

I remember when she was dd7
Yes, me too, RR. Think she was about that age when we first met her IRL -Harriet too

Still have the pictures she drew of dh and me. They showed an early talent. She's still as sweet at 16 as she was then.
