How are you leaving your mark today?

I had a low so I am up watching PBS some show about British history is on.

Gardening plans on my mind. Some knitting and a crochet project going as well. H. Needs the car to attend a memorial for a friend from work. So will be around thinking what I need to do. -yawn- okay I can go back to bed I am fine now.

Yawning here too, Nancy. I had been awake from 3am on. Fixed breakfast for dh, ate mine -my BS was NOT low today -too late a dinner again! Then I decided to go in the recliner about 7:30 and snoozed till a little bit ago. Phone was ringing and I couldn't find it. Finally did in my jacket pocket -from last night. It was dh letting me know what time friend is picking me up today for the wedding shower (for our pastor). Phone was only at 50% so is now charging and I'd best get my gear on.

Tonight is a "Fall Ball" here with dinner & music. We decided last night that we'd go. Dh has decided to wear 3-piece suit, tie -the works. Which all means I've got to find something to wear as well. I don't have anything with me in the 'dress up' line. Have a 2 pc outfit I figured on wearing to the wedding next week. Guess I'd best try it on as it just may not fit. I haven't worn it in a long time. I'll try that for tonight and wear something over it for warmth. Our rec hall is not always very warm and right now it's very chilly and raining.

I'm up. Slept well last night but long. Usually, I get about 5 hours of sleep according to my fitbit, but last night I took 6. (That's time asleep, not time in bed.)

I'm going to be very late these days and need to shift it earlier if possible.

It is a cold day here and I'm tempted to eat and eat so I need to get moving.

Ds is still asleep and that's also making me lazy. It isn't as if there isn't a lot to do here, it is just that I'm being lazy.

First up, Sunday School curriculum so I can go to the church and get the supplies I need. If I'm going to teach Sunday School, I'm going to have to take the time after church the week before to read through and grab the craft prep stuff I need. Otherwise, there's a 30 minute drive to the church added to my week. At least I have things to do out at the house as well but once we don't have the house, that will be a truly wasted drive.

Wev'e had breakfast, and dh is already in the shower. I don't know why, LOL. We are going to dfriend's bday party at 5:00, so why is he in such a hurry? I think he must be trying to get s2s before somebody plays ball. Our college team has an off-day today. I need to s2s and go to CVS before the party, though, so I am headed that way.

Talked to dbro on the phone last night; that was nice.

Reprinted my household items list from dmil's house -- highlighted in different colors the picks dh and dbil have already made, added up totals for each of them. It looks really nice, LOL. Maybe that will carry over and the two of them will behave nicely?

Home from cleaning church. The gal that normally does it had surgery so 6 of us each took one week to cover for her while she is recovering. It is a LOT of work! A friend volunteered to help me and brought her family. That meant there was 6 adults/teenagers (plus LO and their 4 year old boy) cleaning. It only took the 6 of us two hours.

We had to clean around the wedding prep. Wedding is this afternoon and we have a clue how well they will clean up after themselves (no so good). So we will have to re-clean some of the areas in the morning before church. The wedding is a little different - The bride is riding to the altar on a huge bull. The bridegroom will be mounted on his horse waiting for her at the altar. They say it takes all kinds...............

I've been sorting through LO long pants (other than jeans). Most are too small and are now in GWill bag. I pulled down a huge plastic box from top of LO closet that contained "too big" clothes that were given to him. It was a very pleasant surprise to discover the too big clothes are the size he is growing into. YES!! I found many soft long pants (needed for this coming week of surgery recovery). Happy! Happy! Happy! to have found these today.

Oh my goodness, a bull and a horse at the altar? I wonder if they will stay still during the ceremony or if they will be led away after delivering their passengers... and I certainly hope this bride has been practicing with the bull, b/c that certainly could be a rough ride, couldn't it? I would love to hide in a corner and watch this wedding! On the more immediate side for you, though, LadyM -- hope they don't leave a huge mess for y'all to deal with when they're gone.

I am now s2s, sheets are in the dryer now, dh's shower has been s/s, and I've done my CVS Saturday errand.

Ddil called to say they had arrived safely (yesterday) at her parents', but since ds didn't call me, she thought she would. She wanted to tell me that when they arrived at one of the gatherings they were attending today, there was a lady with hair the same color as mine, and dgs saw her and started running as fast as he could, saying, "Nana, nana, nana!!!" Ddil had to tell him that I wasn't there...
I just thought that was so sweet.

I am going to try to catch up on my reading for a little while. I am just about finished with Joyce Meyer's Living Beyond Your Feelings, and I really like it, but I want to finish it so I can start one of my birthday gift books. I have Jan Karon's Someplace Safe with Somebody Good... The Husband's Secret (I forgot the name of the author)... and one y'all recommended to me, the first in the Miss Read series. So I am VERY anxious to get into those!!!

Also -- another good thing -- my weight was down 2 POUNDS this morning, so I am trying to capitalize on that and I am drinking my 2nd 16-oz glass of water now.

Dh and I had brought a load of things from the house yesterday but were too tired to deal with them so left most in the car last night. We went down and dealt with them (sort of) just now.

1. Queensize airbed to the 'shed' (our basement locker.)
2. Cleaned out the shed - we collapse about 8 boxes and took them to the garbage room.
3. I looked at everything in there and made a mental note about what's leaving. Hopefully, dd will store the "Grandma's Toys" for me. And there is a set of storage shelves that will go to ds's new place. I still have one box of Christmas decorations coming from the house but by January I hope to have reduced those down to 6 boxes + tree (currently 8.) I need to go through one Christmas to see what I don't have room to put out here.
4. Same will happen with Halloween (I have condensed that down to 1 bin.) I've sent an email asking if there is trick or treating in the building since there are so many children living here. On the other hand, they are almost all immigrant children so may not have families that support/understand Halloween.
5. Stacked all the linens we brought from the house in a bin in the living room and will deal with that once ds is not using the spare bedroom. I need to inventory everything I have and then keep enough to make up 3 queen beds at once and 1 twin bed. We can make room for the inflatable twin in the office and the bachelor guest unit has room for the inflatable queen along with the queen it has in it. So if I was completely full up with guests, I'll need pillows, sheets and blankets for that many people.

Got hit in the mouth as we were collapsing boxes and it hurts (and one tooth is a little rougher than I remember so I might have chipped it.) I keep wanting to cry so I'm guessing it really hurt (since this happened an hour ago.)

Got up, s2s, did breakfast, finished 2 snail mail letters, and read an e-book.
I'm crocheting the edging on DGS-5.5's Christmas afghan now.
I did 2 LOL, re-did the table, put on a forest green tablecloth, with the same sunflowers placemats, and silk sunflowers in the blown glass brown and gold large vase Dson/Ddil gave us. I have a matching emerald green CD hot pad to match, edged in orange. Nice Autumn look.

DH is watching college football, will watch the Mariners at 6 p.m. and right now, he's rolling a loose skein into a ball for me.
It's in the 80's today.

I'm stamping my mark on Saturday today, by getting the first Christmas afghan done- finally!

I'm setting up an old phone for LO. It won't make or receive phone calls/text. He has been begging for a "phone" since his cousin received one. DGS8 phone won't make calls/txt either. They mainly use it to play music and pretend/feel important because they have a phone in hand. I have resisted doing this for months but I'm pulling this **carrot** out of the bag to hopefully help on Monday.

DH received a phone call requesting he come to hospital and pray with a person we don't know. DH agreed to go immediately. Nice guy.
