Are we ready to "hop to it" at the start of a new week? Motivation is all we need.
Sometimes just remembering the sweet, lilting voice of a kind, encouraging old friend, like Sargent Carter for instance. I can just imagine what he might say to me this morning. In triplicate.

That link wouldn't work at least for me. But nevertheless I do need to "Move It" today! Dniece & Dxsisil will probably/maybe be here later today. Haven't heard anything from them so am assuming they're coming today. Been making my PDODA =think that "A's" for "attack" by the looks of my abode. Didn't get much of anything done this weekend.
Saturday was taken up with a bridal shower for our pastor and then the "Fall Ball" here at the campground. Yesterday was church and home for a bit. Then we had pizza & dominoes with dfriends 3 RV's down. Now I need to kick butt and get that movin' on.

Good morning! My plan for LO to sleep in didn't work. I stay in bed 2 hours past my normal wake up time but the moment I got up, so did LO. He was sneezing repeatably so I gave him melt - in - mouth allergy meds. It is still 8 Hours until his surgery and doing without that med wasn't going to work. Hopefully they won't cancel because of it.
Yesterday afternoon LO's face was flushed and he had a head ache. When I felt of him he was very warm. I gave him some tyenol and said a prayer. Whatever it was went away and hasn't returned.
I want to fast forward through the next 10 hours and have this behind us!

LO requested staying in a hotel room with a balony. He had never been on a balony and thought it looked like a good place to sit. I have to admit to loving it. I think it will be a request at every possible hotel stay. I'm sitting here looking at a man made water fall, people feeding ducks in a man made river (canal), swimming pool, plus beautifully manicured green areas. I

My phone doesn't like it when I write long posts so I will owe some SHEMs.
I am enjoying sitting on the balony with a cup of coffee and getting a tiny bit of the perspective the Kathryn has. Except I am only 4 floors up and have different views and and and.... Okay maybe not like the multi viewed balony like Kathyns but I'm pretending anyway!

Balconies do offer another perspective on the world. You simultaneously feel apart of it and above it all. And all views are interesting, even the ones of drug-deals going down in alleys!
I had a pretty good sleep yesterday. It is very cold outside (low 40s or below) and the heat is not yet on in the apartment. So it gets very cold at night. Thankfully, it is sunny today so that is heating the place up. I'm not sure when the radiators switch over from cold water to hot. I expect there will be a sign about that soon. I do know that Thursday and Friday will be unpleasant as they are pouring a waterproof barrier for the parking lot repair and have put up signs saying it will smell bad. I just hope the weather stays cool so I won't want to open a window.
We have choir this afternoon. Then we'll work on the house, cutting down the vine that is attached to the antenna tower. A friend has explained how to remove a tower (there's a pole/pulley system that lifts the sections up and then down to the ground) and has obtained one of them. He'll help remove the tower in return for it. That is a much better solution that ds and dh up on the tower and me handling the line to lower each segment. Less strain on everyone.
I have to decide if I want to go to school this evening. The Lay School of Theology is a 15 minute walk away so I have no excuse not to enroll. They offer different courses each semester and you take up to two. It would count for my relicensing so that is a reason to do it. Having information fed to me would be another (I'm bad about teaching myself.) Will look the fall offerings up and see if I'm interested in anything.

LO is content to watch Curious George. At home he doesn't watch TV in the mornings so this feels like a treat to him.
Last night we ate at restaurant owned by famous country singer. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was some of the best we had ever eaten. I ordered the talipia and every bite was a treat for the taste buds. I didn't know fish could taste that good.
I might need to change my name to "chatty LM" if I don't find something else to distract me.!

Loving the updates and observations, LM, keep them up!
I checked out the website and signed up online. I picked: "Satan, Evil, Sin: What Can They Mean For Today?" partly because I know and like the man who's leading it and partly because I'm feeling so negative these days. If anyone will be able to help me reconcile my feelings, it is this guy because he's an army chaplain. The second course is "Christian Symbols and Their Origins" just because I don't know anything about this stuff and should, especially when it comes to interpreting art in stain glass windows (which I love to look at but seldom understand.)
If those are full, there are back-up courses that also interest me (actually the second course is a toss-up between the Symbols and "The Church in Changing Times" which is run by someone who could help me get more preaching gigs. But she actually scares me (our theology and experiences are so vastly different). On the other hand, she would expand my horizons. Dang, now I'm starting to lean towards her.
The winter term looks interesting but I chose not to sign up right away since I know I'll miss the last class. Actually, for this term, I'll miss at least 2. Thankfully, there are no books to purchase and no exams, so it sounds like the reading outside the class is minimal and missing classes isn't a big issue.

Will pray for the day to go quickly for you, Lady M (and LO of course).
Glad you have a good solution for the tower, Kathryn and that you all won't have to work quite so hard to get it down.
I'm s2s, breakfast & meds done, put up dh's meds for the next 2 weeks. Have the bedroom and the bathroom DONE! Now on to the living room, dining room & kitchen. I've sorted the laundry and have it setting on the deck waiting to be put in the car. While laundry spins in the first twin I'm taking my hand vac with me and getting the car vacuumed out while that's going. Takes an hour for the dryers so will come back to the house to accomplish some more -she says hopefully.

Still have no idea if we'll have company today or not, but I will be somewhat prepared. I have nothing ready in the line of food so will do a 'play it by ear' if that's needed. If we go to pot luck tonight I have baked beans to prepare. I'm hoping they don't want a shower tonight -if so we may have to steer them toward the shower room (which are pristine by the way). Could use ours, but.......
Okay off for my next 15 minute round. Sure that will complete the living room and perhaps a start on the dining room.

I've straighten up and packed the things we are finished with. Threw all the food away. LO is already saying that he is hungry so my effort to eat late wasn't a success.
LO just finished his bath. DH is taking his now. I'll follow him. Although LO and I probably could have skipped another bath since we were in the water an hour last night. It gives us something to do as we wait for the time to pass. We are going to spend the final two hours at Bass Pro shop before LO checks into hospital. Hopefully that will keep LO occupied and biggest draw is they don't serve food in that store.
