Shopping Saturday
With a store run card up for today I thought some of you might have some shopping adventures to share about as well.the pumpkin patch and fall fair is calling.
Last night I looked up a pattern and got a different ripple crochet pattern going yea for more progress on it today while I had to wait for bs to climb after a low, I did another row on this granny ripple pattern is on line at verypinkknits.com. I followed u tube directions successfully.
We had to look up the location for the jeep fog lights last night l found those. H. Found the info in the manual I found it on the jeep forum. Today we will be trying to track down the plug for the utility trailer lights.

Re: Shopping Saturday
I'm taking dMacs to PT this morning and need to get ready to go. Will shower later. Dinner out with friends and perhaps a fire in our firepit and bottle of wine with them later.

Thanks for the link to the Tennessean Twins. You already know I love Sir Paul. Wish I could have been there.
I am wondering if you watch "Nashville". Mr. Guy and I love it and they have some really great music going on there. Connie Britton has become one of my very favorite actresses.
Have company coming today so best get ready for that.

YUCK!! YUCK!!! YUCK!!!!
Got my flu shot yesterday and feel like CARP this morning. Coughing, sneezing, and nose dripping. Sure hope it goes away soon. Dr. insisted I get it.
We had a great day yesterday. Up early and walked the dog and then off to mail letters and get our shots. Only we were 2 hours early for shots. So we drove around a sub-division that we kinda knew was there but it was nice looking at houses.
Then up the hill to new coffee shop and coffee with our Pastor. We has some business stuff to talk over with him. I will be resigning as Moderator of Deacons to take over the Clerk of Session position. I wanted to talk over the logistics and see how this church did things vs the church we went to in IL. All good. It was also good to sit and talk with him as he is a great story teller and has so varied a back ground. His and my theology fit well, but DH is a bit more traditional. But it makes for lively conversations.
Back home for a bit and then I went up the hill again for the nominating committee meeting. A bit hampered with an out of date membership list but we made it thru.
Back down the hill to pick up DH and then up again for dinner at the Am. Legion Post. Chicken fried steak and lots of friends there. Got to catch up on summer travels and who is selling their house and who has moved into another one. A couple of the people are on the HOA board so we heard some of that chit chat, too. Fun night.
Now I have to type up minutes of Nominating Comm. meeting, make something for tomorrow's fellowship and I have a rack of ribs with a dry rub to go in the oven for the rest of the day.
Hope you are feeling better, Twins.
Glad you finally got the car all figured out, Kathryn. What a fiasco.
Think I will go take some for my aches and pains and get busy. TTFN

Re: Shopping Saturday
MT, what does the clerk of sessions do? Hope you feel better. See, that's why I don't get flu shots.
DH was over at church working on the repairs in our old Parsonage which is now a meeting house. He had a couple volunteers with him. This stuff all falls under the Trustee's Committee. We have them instead of Deacons. I don't know what the difference is between a Trustee or a Deacon.
I've been doing paperwork all day again. Need to clean up the kitchen and tidy up around here next.

Re: Shopping Saturday
On my way home now. The pressure cooker body is being carried on, the valve and lid in dh's bag. Still well under our luggage limit, I was afraid of damaging my suitcase so pulled the big piece out.
Had a great day with my cousin. Turns out his temporary home is RIGHT ON the ocean. It is gorgeous inside and out (just a rental until May while they look for a place to live down there.)
The new rental car was extremely comfortable and I got a fair bit of work done.
Off to scrounge some snacks for dinner since there's no time for a meal here.
****
Woot! At the gate now. We were upgraded again. On the way here we had a pretty high fare class so it was no unexpected but this time we are flying cheap tourist tickets and it still came through. Saves me buying a bottle of water for the flight and I'll get some sort of meal as well. Yay!

Thanks for the link, Twins'.
Congratulations on your new position, Emptynester. They will be blessed to have you.
Shopping - today I purchased elf ears, a bread bowl of chili, and a striped corset for dd. I gave tips/donations to a whip marksman and a raven who took it in her bill. I came home talking like a pirate and collapsed on the couch after about 5 hours on my feet. Beautiful day for a Faire.

Re: Shopping Saturday
Norma, I got addicted to Nashville on Netflix and was looking forward to watching this season, week by week, but it doesn't appear to have been picked up by a Canadian channel and I can't watch it online. Amazon has it but apparently it will not play here in Canada due to geo-blocking. So I'm out of luck until Netflix picks up this season after it is over.
I'm HOME!
Dd doesn't want me to come over so I'll go over tomorrow.
Ds called while we were at the airport. He's working a 7:30 - 7:30 shift and since his department doesn't have that sort of shift, I realized it was at the Mom&Baby unit, which does. He's filling in for one of their staff (different department but he's trained to work there and does break coverage for them on his normal overnight shift.)
I lost my fitbit on the plane but didn't realize until at the luggage pick-up. We checked with lost & found and they sent someone to the plane to look and he found it! I'm very lucky!
We picked up a burger on the way home and am now trying to undo the apartment-leaving list, plugging things back on. First thing was the internet but it took a few tries to get going.

Re: Shopping Saturday
My legs hurt the most at the fair, but it's dd who's knees are hurting now while I am fine. Don't know but perhaps the leftovers of more growing pains. Anyway, she needed a pain pill tonight.
I've S2slippers. My hair's in a scrunchie for tomorrow. Have gone over the songs for tomorrow but dd has not so that will be on the morning agenda. I had found two solid color cardigans to expand my Sunday wardrobe through fall and winter, so one of those, I hope, will help me look different tomorrow rather than same-old same-old.
HRH and the cabinet maker have agreed that the cabinet goes right back again. Sigh. I was ready to try to live with it but HRH says even if he repaired with wood glue and it did well, he would think of the damage every time he opened the door, so back it goes.
Back to square one, the cabinet maker has started on a replacement, but obviously it takes a while.
Evening Daily Card done well. I will certainly sleep well tonight. Hope everyone else does and Lynlee did.
