Good morning Village!

It is cold here too (outside, not inside - dh and I are turning into wimps because the apartment is so warm.) Today there is frost on all the rooftops and on the cars that were parked outside. Bright sunshine so it is pretty with the deep blue of the river and the glistening of the frost.

Busy days ahead. To keep me on track:

1. wash towels (an easy one!)
2. write service and sermon for Sunday (not so easy.)
3. choose music for Nov. 30th so I can give it to the organist at the retirement home.
4. pay bills and update quicken
5. pack my to-do projects for next week
6. pack my clothes for next week
7. Swap kettles with ds (he'll get my old one, I'll get my travel kettle back.)
8. pick up washing up liquid from Walmart
9. Drop off clothes at thrift store
10. Buy a new set of pots (and take old pots to ds if he wants them.) Dh and I have been discussing this for a while and a nice set went on sale. I have to look at them in person, first, though. I need the kind that the lids will store, upside down, in the pot and I'm not sure these do that. Dd's don't and it makes lid storage an issue for her. The sale is only until Sunday so we'll have to go tomorrow (I won't do this until after the service is finished because there will be another sale at some point.

Good Morning!

Happy Anniversary wishes to Harriet & HRH!!!

I was up on time this morning and did kitchen AM cards, exercises and launched LO to school. But otherwise I've been sidetracking here and there.

My current sidetracking trail is because I am greatly interested in the information just published about all the locally owned, chain and on-the-go eating establishments in our county. They had a registered dietician go through all the menu options and analyze them for their nutritional value. They published all the menu items that met the 2010 dietary guidelines for a meal (
Calories ≤ 650 calories
Sodium ≤ 750 mg
Sat Fat ≤ 8 g
Total Fat ≤ 26 g
Cholesterol ≤ 100 mg
Trans Fat  0 g

I am transferring this information into OneNote so it will always be with me. No matter where we eat I can know what to order that is healthy and won't totally wreck the sodium level for the day.

LadyM, 650 calories for ONE meal?

Happy Anniversary Harriet and HRH!

I was up till midnight working last evening. DH wanted a figure. That took me a long time to work up. I helped him unload a truck and restack/organize our lumber racks. I had to make a couple files and print and look up info and send an email. County people not doing their jobs has left me with problems and a lot of work to straighten out. When they lose information, it becomes my problem to reconstruct/find that information again and resubmit. So unfair.

Checking email today, so far company has not sent us the files that the county lost...

My dining room table is covered in older records. I cannot locate one file here. Wouldn't be a problem except the county lost theirs.

Going to finish dailies now. I've paid bills and filled out ins. papers and all that is in the mail. Waiting for emails...I have 3 errands to run and can't go until this stuff comes.

Busy day here - dMacs has PT this morning at 11 and then I need to grocery shop (again) as we are having company for Shabbat dinner - this is something that dh and I have been wanting to do so we invited new friends for tonight. Am putting out easy appetizers (walnuts, dried figs, olives? cheese?) and doing salmon, roasted butternut squash and green salad (and challah) for dinner. Will buy a dessert at Whole foods, I think, and make this easy on myself.

I need to get in major steps today as well, ended up less that 7K yesterday as I didn't walk ddogs in the evening - it was close to 9 p.m. before I got home and cold - I don't think they were too disappointed but I hated to miss the steps too.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HARRIET and HRH! Best wishes for your special Day!

Good Morning. Time for my second cuppa coffee. This seems to be our coolest day of the season so far, still only 61* out; it has been overcast all morning, but seems to be clearing a little now.

I have morning routine done and started weekly cards. I will finish up with mopping hard floors and sweeping carpets before lunch. Will do dusting furniture tomorrow morning. I made a huge pot of chili this morning using 4 lb. ground beef that will give us quite a few meals.

Twins', your dinner for this evening sounds delicious; your friends will surely enjoy it!

Harmony, I wouldn't have ever thought that a county office would be so lax and disorganized with paperwork. I'm sorry it makes extra work for you!

LadyM, the amount of calories for a meal doesn't surprise me as much as the numbers for the cholesterol -- that seems high!

Hello to everyone!
