The Friday Conga line this week celebrates having your home weekend and holiday ready, and that today is finally Friday also. It's been a long week for a lot of us with holiday prep, celebrations, family interactions, illness and almost everything else...

Tomorrow I can relax. Tomorrow I can relax. Tomorrow I will relax. Today I have to get through this Hanukkah dinner and I"ll never volunteer to do anything like this again...never again. Never.
Approximate PODA for today:
-declutter and straighten up for dcleaning lady
-finish getting together craft things for children for tonight, may need to purchase glue sticks and white glue also
-pick up balloons around midday and get to temple
-set up balloons, craft items, finish decorating tables
-back home?
-services, Hanukkah dinner tonight
-collapse
I'm not sure whether I should plan to stay at temple this afternoon - I don't think it will be necessary but dh will be at home making latkes so I might prefer to not be at home. He's stressed because the dfather of a very dfriend is having unexpected surgery today and he'd like to be at the hospital with them.
I feel like my head might explode today.

Good morning Twins. Thank you for starting us off today! Yes, so glad it is Friday. (((HUGS)) You're doing a lot for this dinner; do you have help with set up and crafts?
Party last night was a success - lots of people and lots of food, at least. I tried to give away food as people left and met with some success, but our fridge is still stuffed with food, including a gallon+ of vegetarian chili. I may freeze that. House is in good shape, which feels good!
This morning, I finished the "Jr. Interview Parent Input" page about dd16 for the counseling center. I think this is part of their process of helping kids think through univ. applications. I have also answered a couple short emails and had a cup of tea.
Holiday prep is on hold for another day as I work a little today and prep for dd19's bday celebration tonight.
On the calendar today:
- a.m. routine
- WW 9:30 - I expect to be up
- tutor R at 10:30
- groc. store - for dd19's bday dinner, odds and ends
- order sushi for dd19's bday dinner
- tutor A at 3:30
- pick up the sushi
- make the fruit salad and the chocolate trifle
- celebrate dd19's bday tonight - with S, R, and baby J

Morning y'all
Have a few things I want to do around the house this morning besides my normal routines. Haven't been sleeping well for a while so I'm slow going this morning.
I will be meeting with my retired friends for our monthly meeting today. Need to drop off some books at the library on my way home. Then I will make some doggie cookies when I get home. A neighbor called me the other night and wanted to by all my left over doggie cookies that I made for our yard sale to give as presents. They are already wrapped, bagged and tagged in cute bags and tags. Need to make a few more so I can give them to my friends as well.
All my laundry is done. My Xmas tree has fake snow on it. Very pretty, but every time the pups get near the tree they knock the snow off. Then it travels all through the house leaving sparklies all over. That means my vacuum has been on stand by duty so my house is in really good shape
Wish I could lend a hand to y'all who needed it. The fitness/wellness community I am now associated with has a volunteer componet to it. At least 10 women are volunteer their time to help others with things like wrapping presents for other women in our group. Wish I knew about it earlier because I would have offered my help as well.
Off to officially start my morning...be safe and find some time to breath. Be back later...

Good morning, villagers ~
Thank you for opening the thread today,
Twins'Mom.
Today I have to get through this Hanukkah dinner and I"ll never volunteer to do anything like this again...never again. Never.
I definitely understand this feeling and will fully support your decision to say NO.
My day looks rather easy and straightforward.
8X8 in addition to 3Ds:
* DPC
* Pay 2 bills
* Go to post office and ATM
* Use coupon for lunch
* Stop at library to pick up papers I forgot to get out of a file when I was there for LEGO Club
* Maybe stop at a Tiny Town specialty shop?
* Correspondence
* Declutter my office
Hmm, now that I write it out, the day doesn't look so easy.
Harriet is right, lists are dangerous!

Did I ever tell you what wonderful people you are... You definitely are keepers!!!
hoping Conga Friday is great for all.
dh is worried. d mil is home with family. She had been on the floor for 12 hours when he got there. She said she pushed the button on her neck but it didn't get to the center... we are thinking she thought she was pushing the button but wasn't. Dh checked it and worked.
time to breakfast and work.

Yes,
Bookie, lists are dangerous this time of year especially.
Dcleaning lady is here working her magic.

If I ever show signs of doing this again, please whack me on the head. Various reasons, combined with the original plan of only having our usual before-the-service reception with laktes (no dinner) induced me to volunteer. If I had held off another 3 seconds this would have been in someone else's lap.
Helia, the tables are all set up and the dinner itself is catered except for latkes. I will put balloons on tables, add gelt to decorate and put out the children's craft things. I don't have someone to supervise crafts, altho dd says she will work with kids for awhile.
I am working on the crafts next. Need to list what I need to purchase and do some samples.
Bw2, you are a keeper as well! Thank you for your positive attitude and helpful spirit!

Good Morning All
I'm sitting here watching the sun move across the garage roof - melting the frost as it goes. It is a bit nippy this morning and DH is waiting for the sun to come up a bit more before he walks the dog.
I have PT this morning and then we need some groceries. We have a pot luck next Monday night and I have to bring 2 dishes - I also need to get some groceries for next week but I will pick up most of those next Saturday for the weekend.
Time to make a list of what vitamins we need. Local drug store has a BOGO going so I will stock up. Also have a coupon so I'm hoping that will be good, too.
