Guess I will open for the last time in 2014!

Dh and I are slow moving today. Was in bed 8 hours, though.

I've just finished tea and chocolate. Will move on to grapefruit (not normally part of my breakfast but I'm making room in the fridge) and then my cereal.

My guests arrive in 5.5 hours. So does ds. He won't have much sleep today so I'm worried about him. He has ski patrol tonight so there's the long drive. I'm hoping the ski hill will be quiet or even close early so he isn't on the road too late. Normally it closes at 10.

I'm debating a swim. I think I'll skip it because I'm worried about being outside with slightly damp hair. It is a lovely, sunny, day but cold. The river looks wonderful and has several different patterns on it as the ice forms and then gets carried away by the current. Makes watching it interesting.

Up and about here - I've read the paper, eaten leftover lasagne for breakfast, got the recycling out to the street and puttered around not wanting to start the day! Kudos to our city recycling truck personnel - I heard the truck's roar and realized I didn't have the recycling out - headed out the garage door in my bathrobe pulling the blue bin and they had already passed out driveway, but saw me and backed up to come get it. Whew! They pick up only every other week and the bin was close to full - I guess I could have squashed it down some, but glad to have it emptied.

PODA:
-JCC to p/u meals for dmom - need to get there this morning preferably
-other synagogue to drop off payroll cks
-temple to sign cks and drop off BD card for office mgr
-grocery to get additional smoked trout for Russian dinner at friends tonight
-dr appt at 2 p.m. with dkids - this is the rescheduled appt we missed last week
-clean up from dinner party last night
-usual routines, etc.


This round:
-change clothes, brush teeth, wash up face etc.
-clear breakfast bar
-load and start the dishwasher from last night
-sort and start a lol
-renew my auto registration online

bw2, we had a "cheese board" for appetizers - three cheeses with good crackers and grapes. Lasagne, "Sunshine" salad (green salad with mandarin oranges and pecans) and challah for dinner, for dessert a small carrot cake, platter of fruit (grapes, strawberries and whole pears) and coffee. Nice evening!

Twins, that sounds like a yummy menu.

I'm hardly ever hungry early in the morning, haven't had breakfast yet. Drinking my coffee as I scurry around here.

Loaded dishwasher. Didn't get done last night, I was too tired. Got bed stripped and sheets in the wash. I'm having my coffee, took my meds and vitamins.

As soon as DH & helper get out of here I'll run pick up lunch and several other things we need. I asked DH what he wanted for Jan 1st and he said the leftovers we have is fine. I think I'll look and see what's about in the store. I don't think he realized it was so many days away when I asked him. Mail's in the box, I hope there's pickup today.

I offered to watch toddlerN tonite if gparents needed a break not sure the hrs yet was coming around 3 but not coming at all today. H is working just a half day. He mentioned doing something tomorrow I said not bc sores will not be open.
Dd was coming but did not show till p. M. Forgot her phone.

1st 5 done, chicken chores x , Journal done, made jello, pie is thawing, laundry is going, next up fininsh making bed get attitude adjustment & a plan for dinner.

I hate the fireworks worry about the animals.

Yes, Nancy, I need to set up the garage for the dogs with their crates and some noise for them for tonight. Thank you for the reminder!

I spoke to both dkids and reminded them of dr appointment and that they need to get ready.

First simplifying what I am making as I tend to get carried away with my planning and then pare down.

Good morning! WHEW!!! Crisis cleaning done last night. All that was needed was: guest bath cleaning, pick up LR, and sweep and mop LR and kitchen. DD12's room could use some attention, but my guest won't be staying in there. The rest of the house was still mostly ok. The mega-cleanup for the Halloween party is still holding. My MBR really needs attention bad, and the master bath needs cleaning, but that is not part of the public area. I won't be able to do any last minute cleanup before my guest arrives. I go straight from the train station to dinner.

I guess I could add 'take down Christmas tree', but I may leave it up and do a Mardi Gras tree this year. (Lots of people in Mobile, AL do this).
