Good morning! Last night FelineFriend mentioned a terrific Tuesday and it works for me. FF I hope you get to feeling better soon.

I woke up early and felt like I had had enough sleep, so decided to get up and start my day.

I need to make out a grocery list. I also need to balance my checkbook.

I am sure that blessed is sleeping peacefully now that the girls are home after spending an extra 2 hours on the plane due to the weather.

Yesterday both of my girls returned to school for an in-service day. Today the students return for the start of their second semester.

Dd1 has decided that this will be her last semester as a school nurse. She is thinking of returning to the hospital in a PRN position.

After 13 days at home, the 2 little girls returned to daycare yesterday. Dd2 said they seemed ready to see their friends again.

I now have 3 grandkids out of high school. Dgs20 and dgd18 (dd2's) are full time college students. The other dgd18 is just going to work this semester and will start college in the fall. With dh retiring there are changes in each household.

Slow start for me.

The power went off just before 7:30 so we had to drag ourselves out of bed and shut down the battery back up power supplies, and shut down our network diskstation that holds our internal data and then shut down its power supply. Dh taught me how to turn off the diskstation because it isn't a switch but a software thing so I have to leave the network up until I do that.

We did learn we have hot water, water, and wifi as long as we are powering it from our battery backup system. No lights in the bathroom. It took me a while to remember where the battery operated radios are (they are in our bathrooms, duh.)

I put a mug of hot water on my tea warmer and put two tealights under it. After 25 minutes it was hot enough that I had to sip carefully. Couldn't make tea but it was nice and hot to sip.

The emergency lights remain on in the hallway. We'll have to ask if the generator runs an elevator or not. I don't need it to go down but to go up it would be nice!

After 40 minutes the power came back on and I was able to make my tea. Dh is on his bike now exercising. He'll start his day very late, since he also has to trim his beard and shower.

The check book is balanced.

Now if I can make a grocery list and shower, I can go to the store. I haven't been out of the house much in the last 2 weeks and now I find myself wanting to stay home. The cold has a lot to do with that.

Dh is still continuing to improve, but it's a slow process.

Must get busy! Up at 8 a.m. again. I had set the clock for 7 and the alarm went off for an hour. Would like to work back to the earlier time. I got to sleep easier last night and slept better.

I did some catching up with the blogs I read most frequently. Haven't read many of them since before Christmas.

I think the only "must do"s today are going to the bank and getting in groceries. I'll be in the road tomorrow.

First round:
-finish breakfast, meds/vitamins
-10 pieces of paper gone from desk
-s2s
-clear kitchen counters and wipe down
-start a load of delicates

Today roo has been learning to crow a bit was trying before day light after five-ish when h got up.

Trash day today I will take it lut in a bit bit it is not quite light enough out.

I have a bit of the sniffles.
ToddlerN will be here today in the pm and grands after school.

Chickens fed
coffee is great
bed to make still.
had left overs last night so will use last nights plan for dinner today.

Hubby's back is somewhat better today.

I had fun last into the morning seeing pictures, videos and hearing lots of stories from dd's.
