Nah, Harriet, I deleted mine quickly when I saw you had posted first. When I see others stirring around, I usually will post my start then go look at active topics to see if someone beat me there...

Trouble is, there's no one but ddogs here to give any marching orders to. I've done up some marching orders of my own, however and am falling into formation.

I have PT at 10 so must go to double-time right now.

Good Morning!

If I had a lick of sense I would be extremely nervous about this morning. My last mammogram resulted in immediately having sonogram and 2 biopsy done. All within an hour of the mammogram findings. Today I have my first mammogram since the biopsy. Part of me is thankful they immediately take action on findings......the other part of me is hopeful there is no reason to take action today! I would really like to reach lunch time today without a reason for biopsy being perform on me.

Lady M: that sounds like a reasonable goal for the day. I hope you achieve it! On the other hand, I'm impressed that you can get answers so quickly and don't have days or weeks to worry in between a suspicious mammogram and further tests.

I'm up and at it.

Bed is stripped and remade, sheets are currently in the dryer.

Dinner is started in the crock pot.

Dh is making bacon and eggs for breakfast because he just listened to an article on the radio about how fat is good for you. I knew it was coming up and should have turned off the radio before it started!

I've written everything upcoming between now and the trip on the calendar in the kitchen (normally we just use the Google calendar.) The calendar looks scary. There's still a babysitting day in there somewhere as well, just don't know the dates yet.

We leave in 30 minutes for the concert. It is awfully cold here but sunny. Glad I'm not on the Atlantic Seaboard, though, I'll take cold over epic amounts of snow, any day.

Hi everyone. We did all the dishes after dinner last night. Together. Standing side by side with Wayne washing and me drying. Sounds silly, but it was delightful and lovely.

So, unfortunately, I have nothing to give marching orders to. Not really, but it isn't laundry day, the kitchen is clean and dinner will be the leftover roast beef from last night. My meat-eater, hunter-man and inventive cook has NEVER cooked a roast. So I did it. He thought it was difficult, and involved more than it did, so imagine his surprise and delight that you put the meat in the pan, cover with pepper, put an inch of water in the pan and stick it into a 325 oven for a couple of hours. Easy peasy.

There is a massive storm coming into the "Golden Horseshoe" area of Ontario. Thankfully we have milk, bread, eggs and toilet paper, so groceries aren't needed. (We did that on Saturday morning)

Cathys glad you did the store run on Sat. And got emergency supplies needed before the storm hits they are calling snowmagedan.

We are having temps more like spring here. 45*-61* here today.

I have mit 6 M.I.T. (most important things) written down in my journal today.

hi everyone... waving hello from Downtown Chicago. Dd younger started her therapy today .. traffic was bad but we made it in time. Today I am still going through January 2014 to January 2015 spending as I lost some of my books... it's okay ... I got copies of all bank and cc statements - so all is good.

tomorrow we are taking the train and a taxi... the bus takes over 35 minutes for 2 miles - which means it could be more.
From now on I am going to park at the building dd is at because it is only $10 for the whole day - cheap cheap cheap for Chicago. Normally it is $15 but we get a discount wonderful.

Smiled at your opening today, Harriet, and am following those instructions . I gave many of my electrical appliances their marching orders today. Ran the dishwasher, have some laundry washing & drying, vacuumed the house. I wanted to get as much done as possible in case we lose power. I'm one of many who are expected to get over a foot of snow, & local forecasters are reminding folks to prepare for power outages because of strong winds on top of all the snow. If we lose power for any length of time at least I'm caught up on things. Even the bathtub is filled with water. During Hurricane Sandy we lost power for 6 days, & while it was chilly at night it wasn't the middle of winter like it is now! The kerosene heater kept us toasty warm then & will again if needed.

How nice that you are having such a good morning, dHarriet. Hope your dd35 feels better soon.

Hi Kathryn. Sorry your calendar is scary looking now that you've filled it in. Where are you going on your next trip?

Hi Cathy. Your description of washing & drying dishes with Wayne doesn't sound silly at all. Dh & I did that for many years until we remodeled our kitchen a few years ago & finally had space for a dishwasher. We talked & laughed while cleaning up, too.

Hi Nancy. What nice temps you are having! Laughing at the term "Snowmagedan" . (Hope I can still laugh about it once its over!)

Hi Blessed, hope therapy goes well for your dd. $10.00 parking for the day in a big city is a great price!

The snow looks so pretty outside my window. I filled the bird feeders last night & they have been taking full advantage of that. We are stocked up on food as we did a S am's run late last week. I went to the local grocery store yesterday for cold cuts for dh & some tomatos & as expected it was filled with people. I parked at the far end of the lot away from everyone trying to get a parking space close to the door. Browsed through a magazine from the rack while waiting to check out.

I have no pressing plans for the rest of today or tomorrow, except maybe resting up to shovel tomorrow! I'm going to finish drinking my hot cocoa & skim through posts as I haven't been here since last Tues. It's very handy to have the threads turn different colors once you have read everything in them. Lets you know at a glance where you left off the last time you were here.
