I was going to say Saturday Silliness but then I decided if you are silly, you'll likely smile and if you don't feel like being silly today, you can still shoot for a smile!

I can't believe I'm finally up early enough to start a thread.

Turning the heat up on the waterbed was the right thing to do. Dh and I both slept well last night too.

I'm up and at it early due to needing to finish the sermon (and prayers, children's time and blessing.)

I also have to do the payroll today.

I am hoping I am home today - what adventures await!

I was able to sleep in this morning and dd younger is sound asleep - she has been sleeping 4 hours a night and needs to catch up a little. She put a shoe on yesterday for 15 minutes! and she was able to use an exercise bike for the first time in 5 months (no shoe but she had a great work out). all good.

my goal:
visit d uncle now at rehab facility
work in the laundry/dog room as it is filthy
work in 3 season room because it has 2 baskets that have to be emptied.
weeklies

I best get my day started.. off to d uncles.

tomorrow's goal: make meals for week
have cash ready for dd youngers trips back and forth

Glad to see the water bed temperature rise is working for you, Kathryn! A good night's sleep is oh so good! Even I slept last night until 4:58am. Took a quick bathroom break and crawled back into bed. Went back to sleep for a couple of hours. Ended up getting up about 7:30.

Dh and dsonil have gone to an estate sale and then their favorite 'toy' store (H ar bor F reight).

DD just got home from school a short time ago. She had a "lock-in" with her TSA (Technology Student Assoc) team and 2 other teachers last night. They worked on several of their projects for the state competition next month. She's gone in for a nap now.

Can I weigh in on LO's birthday party issue too, LM? I agree - you definitely did the right thing. Sorry to hear sil is back within the state. That would raise my hairs a little bit too, especially coupled with the 'birthday' episode. As before, his safety is the number 1 priority. You done good!

I've made up my daily check list for Feb. Going to try again with more FL tasks. See if that will help.

Election result - a vote against arrogance. Who rules is not quite known, but the result was an upset. Well the swing was in massive against the massive swing last time. So Sequential arrogant leadership from opposite parties were both deposed in sequential elections. Who knows what comes next.
Local Independent member remains. He is the definition of humble and even headed. Well mostly.

Got a hair trim. I hope I like it.
Voted. Got to f&v store. Washed bathroom things. I still need to attack that floor so I can put mats down and bathe. Another hot day.

Good Morning!

Thank you for the vote of confidence. I don't remember many of these issues coming up when we raised our children 30+ years ago. I am constantly weighing pro/con of decisions. Being in Nana and Mom mode at the same time has me double checking myself.

Today is one week "anniversary" since DD moved back to this area. During the past week DGD3 has stayed 7 days and 4 nights with us. We are slowly getting a routine established. It is a pile of extra work for me, but those extra-sweet-holding-onto-my-neck-as-if-for-dear-life and cuddling moments seem to erase most of the extra work memories.

Today is DGD3 care along with taking LO to baseball camp this morning. I'll also take LO to his best friends birthday party this afternoon. Part of me feels a tad bit guilty because it is easy to trust LO in the home of people we have known both sides of the family for generations. The new people could be okay and maybe they just don't know how to make friends...... but there isn't that knowledge/history that lets me lower my guard. It doesn't help matters that neither parent have a job ....well, part time flipping burgers at McD.

You are probably more wise than you even know, LM.

Just thinking about MT. We miss you! I do see she 'visited' on the 27th so we at least know she's around. Wondering if she's unable to post again.

34*-43* todays temp. Range no fog here today first day in a while made me smile. I am also smiling bc I was able to sleep in until seven! Slept well dreamed of sone knitting! Yea! Roo in the coop is working. & H. gad the heat up and coffee brewed for me when I got up yea!

I have not journaled or had breakfast yet waiting for 20 - 30 min. bc one pill is a no food one.

I am happy bc I got the laundry sewing zone organized and made up a small bag with some left over fabric was nice!

I'm avoiding the task at hand.

Instead I've:

Googled people I used to know to see how they finished growing up.
Started a load of laundry.
S2S and tidied room.
Did my floor exercises. Leg is much better today, let's keep it that way.
Ate breakfast.
Washed up all the evening/breakfast dishes (instead of loading them in the dishwasher.)

Played far too many rounds of solitaire and scrabble.
