I am having to go down to Bloomington, Indiana (about a 5 hour drive there) with dd older to get dd younger's things.

I'm up and almost s2s. Going to take my meds shortly and enjoy breakfast. Then we'll be off to church. The 'boys' are back from the flea market already. I was hoping to get my breakfast done before they returned so I'm not in dsonil's way.

My day will be simple...

My muddy, wet and nasty clothes from yesterday are washing away.

I had a spectacular time yesterday. A 4.8 miles course out in the mountainous desert with amazing views, cool winds with 82 degree weather along with 26 obstacles to conquer. I was able to complete 24 of them... There were only two I didn't try. One was climbing ropes a feat I couldn't do at 15 and a Tarzan swing over water.

I scaled interred V shaped towers 35' tall; some made of webbing others made of wood. Climbed huge slanted walls with the help of a rope. Slide down walls of mud into mud pits, rescaled mud walls only to do it two more times. Climbed over 4,6,8 and 10' verticle walls with the help of friends who Lents knees, hands and words of encouragement. Carried 45 lb bucket 1/4 mile and 50lb sand bag 1/3 mile up and down the terrain. Threw spears, rolled 50 yards on a hilly muddy area with bobwire stretched 6" over my body and finished by jump over a fire pit I to a ditch of mud and water.


Sweetie came to watch me... Think he might have been afraid I might get hurt lol. There were 20 of us in our team .... Several were guys. Everyone was there to lend a knee, give a push or yell out where the next peg was. It was a very up close and personal adventure if you know what I mean lol.

I had very one on the team beat by 20 years. After the race everyone was coming up to sweetie telling him what an inspiration I was... Let me tell you there were many inspirational people on the team. Sara is the girl from the extreme weight loss TV program. Aside from having lost over 100 lbs, she is only 4'5" tall and she did all the events.... We had to carry her throug the mud pits because the water would have been over her nose. Many on the team have lost 50-100 lbs with one couple having lost over two hundred pounds each. They were out team leaders. And my very best friend in the group has COPD and carries her breathing machine with her... This was her 7th race btw.

All in all it took us 5 hours to complete the course and we were the last ones in. Normal time is somewhere around 2.5 hours... But many of the team members were fearful of heights and the like so it took much encouragement and help from the other members... We never moved on to then challenge until every one was up and over and many members were more than50lbs over weight.

I feel great this morning. Not sore, but tomorrow will tell the real story. I had a great time... Was never scared and took time to enjoy the moment. Not bad for an almost 65 year old broad

Hello, Everyone!

I've been up and at 'em, since 5:15 A. M. But was able to make another bookmark and write a friend. I also made myself some grits, cleaned up my mess, and then wrote a non-fiction story, about Ddad and his breakfasts, he'd make, for us 4 kids, as we were growing up. I'll get that edited after I log it, proof it, and sub it today or tomorrow. Other 'things' are coming to mind, too, for prayers to write and other non-fiction stories. It's so much fun, to write something short, which will be on one magazine page, as opposed to a 3,000 - 7,000 short story. I used to write the quicker shorter things a lot, because I was "scared" to even fathom a story. But now, I'm doing the stories all the time. It's fun to do shorter things. Poetry's on the agenda now, too. So I'm going back to what got me started. I miss the imagery, the meter, and creating word pictures. Poetry is so much fun, to me. I love reading it, too. I enjoy the different types, like Haiku and other more unusual ones.

I'm rambling because I haven't napped and only got about 6 hours of sleep again. A "little Mr. Somebody" for the 2nd night in a row, has been ending up next to my head, in bed, snoring into my ear! For the first time in our 44.5-year-marriage, he's started this! 2 nights in a row. I can't figure out why. Maybe he just loves me, by now? At least, when I get up early, I truly enjoy the quiet morning and enjoy the day.

I'm off to do some LOL today, want to do jeans, darks, whites, then the navy blue fleece knit sheets, and that should be about it. I will be slowly getting in some steps on my pedometer today, for sure. I might do some housework, too. I'm getting a bit "tired" of looking at my pretty pastel pink Jacquard tablecloth. I'd decorated for Valentine's Day about New Year's Eve. Now I'm excited to put on my floral "Montego Bay" bright tablecloth, which I use for Spring and Summer, because it's a sturdy material, it's super bright and fun.

I'm making more bookmarks, did 1 letter with a bookmark in it and only have 2 more letters to go. I have the bookmarks done, too. The one letter has to be a computer letter, because it's to a poet and needs to look professional. Need to talk about the poetry market and business, etc.. It's fun though. I do believe she's the only other published poet I know, except for a male colleague of mine. It's fun to find poets in my world.

RRose, I would never attempt anything like that, but I am happy for you that you could do it.

Yesterday, we saw an older fellow run up the sidewalk into a store and DH said he was always happy to see other people do stuff like that, the things that he can no longer do. He said he feels a bit envious, but he is happy for them.

Blessed, I definitely would talk with DBrother, and any other family necessary about how much time you are putting in with DD so they wouldn't all think you can just handle it all. I am sorry for your ill cat, especially with all you have going on.

Yesterday I just felt so much like a slug, with so little getting done around here lately. I can't seem to get myself out of bed at a reasonable time, and even if I do I can't keep going all day long. So much stuff has been left go, only have been getting the bare minimums done. It's been looking so rough around here.

Today I missed church because I didn't get up, and I was disappointed in myself. I couldn't even find a good TV program to watch instead.

But I did do some things around here: I swept with the little sweeper and mopped the living areas; I shook out a couple throw rugs and cleaned out sliding glass door tracks. Unloaded dishwasher and hand washed what was left. It looks better here, but I know it is just the "top" layer and much more needs done.

DH and I fixed our bikes yesterday. We have not ridden for practically a year because of his operation etc. and I didn't want to ask if he couldn't ride. We found one inner tube ruined and we replaced that. We rode 20 minutes yesterday and 20 minutes today. Both of us are feeling the inactivity. Our muscles feel a bit strained. But we have decided to keep at it as it is so good for us. It is practically the only exercise he can do without hurting a sore ankle or hip. And it's the only thing I enjoy doing. I can do other things, but I really hate them.

I had a pretty decent day yesterday, followed by a "relapse" of diarrhea today. Dh has been out the entire day with a long meeting so I've slept and stayed close to the bathroom.

Last night I went out for dinner with the group that I had put together and probably the meal was too hard to digest. Hoping to be better tomorrow. I had to do some laundry today (still in the dryer) because out of underware.
