Today is an hour less long than yesterday.

What difference will that make to you?

We deliberately didn't change the clocks last night.

Dh's bedside clock is his phone so that changed automatically. We just did the rest of the clocks. His argument was that we might get up too soon if we awoke and saw the later time and we don't need to rush to church this morning.

That isn't to say that we don't have to keep moving, but we leave here at 1 p.m. At least my services are prepared so there's no scrambling around that.

We'll text the kids when we leave the second retirement home and they work their way to our place and then we'll walk to dinner.

Before 1, I need to:

* give myself a pedicure
* finish packing
* tidy the house so there's room to sit down
* frost the birthday cakes

Both cakes fell but to different levels. Since the cakes are to be joined together this is problem.

I also have to remember how to make frosting. It has been ages since I've done so. I'm off to a bad start - I put away the mixer when I tidied the kitchen while waiting for my tea to steep.

For those of you still having problems connecting, feel free to contact me by email. I really don't mind.

We are down to one problem - people can find/see the boards and can 'login' but then they keep being returned to the login screen. At that point, they are in fact logged in and everyone else thinks they are in the village. But they can't do anything in the village.

Clearing board cookies doesn't work. Often they can connect via another device (computer, phone, tablet) so obviously it is an issue with their computer. BUT it is a common issue, multiple SHEs from across the country are having issues.

So email me but make sure your emails contain the following:

1. Is it your computer or phone/tablet that won't connect?
2. What operating system to you use?
3. What browser do you use? Is it up-to-date?

In every case, I've been able to sign in to that person's account (once I change the password so that I know it - administrators can't see your passwords so in order to test your account we need to reset those.) My test browser is Opera, just because I'm connected to the SHE boards with Chrome and don't want to bother signing in and out each time I do a test.

In general, until I have enough data to figure out the pattern, I suggest the following:

1. Download another browser. Starting fresh means no cookies or other history is affecting your system. Here are the main browsers: IE (Microsoft), Safari (Apple but they also have a Windows version), Opera, Firefox (Mozilla), Chrome (google).
2. Type in http://bb.SHEsOrganized.org which will bring you directly to the forums.
3. Sign in and if everything works (it should), then create a bookmark for the page and feel free to save your password in the browser.

If your computer doesn't have room for another browser because it is very old, or you really don't want to download another browser, clear out references to the SHE boards:

1. If you have a shortcut from your desk top, or start menu, delete it.
2. Delete all cookies in your browser (not just the SHE ones.)
3. Clear your browsing history
4. Clear all SHEsOrganized.org bookmarks

(those last three will make surfing the internet slower for you for the next few days because you'll have to reenter passwords and type in web addresses fully since that stuff has been erased from your browser.)

5. Delete all SHEsOrganized passwords out of your system. On Chrome, you'd do the following:
Click the Chrome menu Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
Select Settings.
Click Show advanced settings.
Click Manage saved passwords in the "Passwords and forms" section to see a list of all the usernames and passwords that have been saved.
Windows, Linux, and Chrome devices users: In the Passwords dialog that appears, use your mouse to hover over the site whose password you'd like to remove and click the X that appears on the right.
Mac users: You can remove your passwords in the Keychain Access dialog that appears.
You can also use the Clear Browsing Data dialog to remove all password records saved during a specific time period.
6. Follow steps 2 & 3 from the first list.

You can see why downloading a different browser is the easier option!

Good morning Kathryn and everyone else, as they find and enter our village. Kathryn, thank you again for all the work that you and Ken do, to make this site our home. It is really appreciated.

Yesterday between 10 am and 3:30 pm, the boys had a total of 5 games. After the first game, I just stayed at dd2s and watched the girls. They are so restless at the games that it is hard for me to watch the game. Dgs10's team won their first game yesterday and that was the only game they won all season. Dgs9's team was a winning team all season and they won first place in the 3rd and 4th grade division.

Last night we to dd2's for a birthday party for dh and I. Dd1 had baked a 2 layer Red Velvet cake and dd2 had baked a Chocolate Sheet cake. Both were made from scratch and delicious. We had a wonderful family evening together.

Dh keeps commenting that the family room looks bare. I told him that once I have the bedrooms back together, I will drag out all the wall stuff that has been boxed up for 3 years, 4 months and we will see what we still like and then hang it.

Yesterday while I was gone all day, dh stayed home and relaxed, while watching the race, etc. He needed that and so did his back.

We went to S taples yesterday, to look at mats for wheeled chairs. They only had one of what we wanted and it was bent. I asked a young man if they had more and he said that no they didn't, because he had been looking for more earlier. He suggested we order what we wanted. When we came home, I decided to do that. It said there were 16 in stock at our store! Imagine that! So they are suppose to email me when I can pick one up.

Once we start Daylight Saving Time, it feels like spring is around the corner. We are enjoying spring like weather, but I am sure we will have more cold weather. Spring is my favorite season. Just last Friday thru Monday, we had snow and cold temps and now we have a complete turn around. As the saying goes, if you don't like the weather in Kansas, wait a day or two and it will be different. So very true.

Guess I better have breakfast and do meds.

I made it back on my laptop this morning, so I'm good all around! Beautiful day here so we are going to Costco, then it appears we'll either go for a walk or clean out the garage some, maybe both. Good energy so far today.

Gotta go....Wouldn't call dh Mr. Adventure, but it makes him crazy to sit around, and I'm trying to be sensitive to that on Sat/Sun since I have the rest of the week on my own, i.e. while he's at work.

Cakes are decorated, my computer backup is underway, I'm dressed and some but not all the tidying was done.

Heading out the door now for my two services.

Today is International Women's Day. Definitely a time for those in most developed countries to count our blessings.
"The world will never realize 100 per cent of its goals if 50 per cent of its people cannot realize their full potential. "

Secretary-General of the U.N. Ban Ki-moon

Cathy, thanks for reminding us about Toronto's birthday. Did you make that cake?

Church was fine today. My dBoyCousin had had a cataract taken off his eye and he said he kept waiting for them to do it until they explained they'd been finished a while. So that was a good report. I sang again today. Our other soprano hasn't been present for 3 weeks. I spoke to her father and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong, just circumstances. There was lots of mail to pick up.

About mats for wheeled chairs - the thick ones without much rubber composition but mostly plastic, will crack in cold temps - shatter is more like it. We moved one here once and it cracked in the back of the pick-up truck. Those with enough rubber composition won't do that.

DST - We got plenty of sleep Friday night. That always seems to be the best tip for us when springing forward.
