Not sure if it will be a rainy Monday or not, but it seemed like a good title. It has definitely been a rainy Sunday.
Lazy day, disappointed ds again -- told him we had plans -- and we did. Went to see movie -- Do You Believe. Very good.

Thinking of Lilac and family today... And Sunny and family.

And renewed commitment to exercise -- either that or start wearing yoga pants everywhere I go...

Thanks for opening the thread today, Lucylee.

Today I will be catching up on all the chores that didn't get done while I was at sewing camp.

Sewing camp Thurs-Fri-Sat ended up being a huge disappointment, even though I made good progress on my sewing projects. I need to ponder and analyze some more to figure out what didn't work, and if it's something that I am able to fix.

One thing I cannot fix is that everyone else decided to stop sewing early on Saturday. We had rented the room until 9 p.m. I had to work at the library so I couldn't get to the sewing group until after 3. Half of the group was already gone, and everyone else decided they would leave right after supper. Supper was at 5. Out of the 12 hours we were supposed to be allowed to sew, I only got 1 hour instead of the 4 I had hoped to have. If I'd known that in advance, I wouldn't have paid for the 3rd day and would have saved myself the extra time and gas driving into The Big City.

Saturday was my first time working alone at the library. The automatic counter on the door showed 118 people came in during the 4 hours. (I think there might have been more, though, because I don't think the motion sensor sees small children when they come in with an adult.) I had a lot of families come in with little kids, and many of them asked for my help finding books. It was fun and I think I kept up with the pace of the work ok, which had been my only concern about working the service counter on my own. I got almost everything put away and would have stayed to do it all, but I was told they only allow us to stay on the clock 15 minutes after the library closes to the public. During that 15 minutes there is quite a list of things that need to be done before leaving the building.

Yesterday DH and I went to the 2nd run theater and finally saw Into the Woods. DH got a bit bored and mentioned afterward that the 2nd half was kind of a downer. I laughed and told him he got off lucky, because the live musical version is much longer and the movie actually made Act 2 a little less depressing.

Well, it IS rainy here. Not sure how long it's supposed to last. It's generally unusual for FL to get an all-day rain but it happens. Have a bunch of running around today to finish getting ready for dh's trip north tomorrow. Sure wish I could talk him into another week. The weather is so "iffy". He put rain-x on last night and that turned out to be good as he found the driver's windshield wiper is ripped about 1/2 way. So first thing today will be to stop at the auto store. I'm sure the truck's owner never drove it in the rain so he wouldn't know. He got it all serviced before dh picked it up.

Off to eat breakfast. Dh did ask me to pack a couple of Benadryl for him to take nights so maybe he'd sleep better. I hope.

I'm trying to get organized for the day and for the week this morning. Yesterday I felt I deserved to give myself most of the day off. We found that the potential new employee for the temple and her dh had misread their flight info and had to go to the airport immediately when we picked them up at 5:15, so we got them there, said goodbye and we had dinner back at home. I took some of our leftover lasagne and cherry pie to a young dfriend and her dh - she had emergency surgery on Saturday for a supposed ectopic pregnancy - then the doc didn't find what they saw on a scan 10 hours earlier on Friday night. She said she didn't have much appetite but her dh appreciated the food.

I need to get dMoses to the vet today and need to call for appt first. I have a meeting either at 5:15 downtown or at 5:30 here at the house with the temple prez. Need to do some prep. Also need to round up a dog sitter today...

Busy week - Friday we are out of town, mother has a dr appt on Wednesday so that will take a chunk out of that day.

First round:
-breakfast, meds/vitamins
-call vet

-start dishwasher (ooooops, forgot to do so last night)
-start a lol

I resemble that statement, Twins. Things kept floating through my head in the night that I didn't want to forget to pack for dh. For instance he has his suit packed in the truck but I remembered there was no tie AND his shirt he wears with his suit was still hanging in the closet. Now I'm doing the piddly little things as I think of them. At least I've got today to do that.

It's a rainy Monday here too.

Oooooh, I also have a temple bd meeting this week on Wed evening, and need to do prep for that.

Have done the last round except for s2s......so:

-reboot laundry
-walk Macs
-prep for meeting late this afternoon

Few more jobs done. Dh told me I could stop the newspaper as of today so did that through November 6th. We should be back by then -if not I can always call them. Little by little we're winding up the odds 'n ends. Was able to pack dh's BP machine as he decided he'd forego it in the morning -also packed his weight sheets so that's done.

Looks like it's clearing a little bit out there.

Want to do a LOL after dh gets back from H arbor F reight later this afternoon. He's also going by P ublix to pick up some chicken wings to nibble on the way -I'm hoping he's figured out how to keep them cool. I may give him the refrigerator bag and put a bag of ice in it. But he'll probably take them into the hotel tomorrow night for dinner if he has some left.

My "plan" for tomorrow is to get papers sorted & filed AND then work on our taxes until they're done and ready to ship off to our tax man. This is probably my latest. Very nervous about them this year. After they're off I'll work on plenty of typing of minutes and notes for church up north. Want to have those done and off my mind till December. Also have the church council minutes to do for April's meeting -if in fact they're able to "Skype" me in. Otherwise someone else will take minutes and send them to me. Keep thinking someone's going to 'volunteer' for this job.
