TENDER TUESDAY

That's us -tender loving thoughts go out to all who need them.
Dh left about 20 minutes ago. Praying for him as he now has a horrendous cold and was having a hard time breathing. Wish he would have waited to go, but you know men -so often once they are ready to go -they're gone! DS-A called yesterday to find out when he was going north. Asked him to stay there with them a few days -"It's going to be too cold, Dad!" Dh does want to get the RV opened if he can on Thursday as he has a lot of stuff in the truck that will freeze. If he can get it opened up, he'll turn the heat on low. Don't imagine he'll stay there before next week.
Suppose I should try to go back to bed for a while. Didn't sleep after 2am so I'm sure I need it.

Get better, Nancy. Dh was coughing and snoring a lot during the night. He was having difficulty just breathing this morning. He called just a bit ago from the welcome center in GA. Hoping he takes time to rest. He did say that was his third stop. Was tied up for a while on 95 for a "roll-over". At this rate he's sure to make NC or VA today. I don't like it.
I just got dressed. Tried to doze a bit in the recliner. Know I'll be dragging all day but I want to get some things done. First up is some breakfast. Meds are done & bed is made.
Thanks, RunKitty. Welcome by the way!

Good morning and thank you for the tender thoughts for my Moses. Poor guy, he stretched out and I know he is feeling pain. Dh is supposed to talk to the vet today - he feels very strongly (as do I) that Moses has had a long, great life, and surgery and chemo isn't a good option. Poor little man.
I have a lot on my plate today. Yesterday I felt like I got paralyzed about getting Moe to the vet and then afterward so I didn't do what I needed to do. Realistically, I did get ready for the meeting at 5:15, and afterward a neighbor had texted me about walking with in the evening. Almost as soon as I got home we walked for quite awhile, then I walked Macs for a slow lap. Moe was somewhat interested but I told him no walk. Ended up with 8900 steps for the day.
OMM for today:
-dog sitter for the weekend
-reschedule body work (somehow scheduled for tomorrow when dmom has dr appt)
-prep for temple meeting tomorrow night
-desk day
-call kids about Moses
-what else?
I slept okay last night - was up once with Macs complaining, then was up at 6:45.
Keeping your dh on the road in my thoughts today, Dee. We will be in your area this weekend, I believe, but w/o a car and staying with friends. Probably not a good time for a mini SHE-fest, but wishing I could see you!

Hello you all. Remember me???
It has been a busy place, plus computer troubles, plus a week trip, plus company. plus being sick. I wasn't abandoning you.
First of all - it looks like we have a new house. We changed the color completely from tan with rust trim to pale green with dark green and white trim. It happened very suddenly when we had a man over for an estimate which was in the ball park. The kicked was when I asked when he could start and he said "tomorrow". All the other handymen are booked months in advance. So we hurried to Lowes and picked up the paint and it now looks great. I will try to get some pictures up but they are on my DH's phone so it might take awhile.
While the painting was taking place we packed up the MH and Dakota and headed to Tucson for the annual Escapees Rally. For the first time in 10 years we weren't on staff. It felt funny being out of the loop but we had a great time with our friends. Almost 900 RVs and about 1500 people.
DH and I both picked up the flue/cold/cred with so many people at the Rally. So we have been fight that. I finally went to the Dr. yesterday but forgot to tell her what steroids do to my Blood Sugar. It is over 300 this morning. I am waiting for the office to open so I can call her.
This is woodcarvers week at our home park. We have some friends parked on our lot while they attend. I'm glad we didn't sign up this year as we are both too sick to attend.
My new computer is acting up again. It takes forever to load and the hour glass spins forever. Sometimes I have to just walk away. I've run all the malware etc. and it runs a bit better now - but is still a pain.
Hear DH up so I'd better get going.

We knew we weren't abandoned, Emptynester. Actually, I was thinking with all the recent responsibilities you had taken on at church, that might be keeping you too busy to get to computer much. Hope you get over the sickness soon. Yep, steroids do a number on blood sugar, and during that time don't be surprised if eyesight changes.
This was such a nice village morning with our opening and following posts.
Dee, I will wave at Mr. DeeClutter this midday. Glad he's got an already-warmed house to go to for tomorrow evening.
Morning Daily Card and school run were done well. Laundry was reds today. One last straggler of Desk Day finished up. Recyclables taken to the road.
First pint water, second pint totaled within smoothie breakfast, which also got me 2 fruit/veggie servings.

MT!! So good to see you. Feel better soon. No fun having 'side effects' from meds!
Managed to get the dishes done and now need another break. Going back to the kitchen in a while to clean the island better. It ends up as a landing pad for both dsonil/dd. If I don't get anything else done today, I want to sort the papers waiting to be filed and get our tax papers into 1 binder. Then, MAYBE, I'll start on our taxes. My determination is to get them sent off by tomorrow.
