Tuesday Trust

Post by Harriet »

So many ways to think of that title! Reminds me of the "Brain Trust" line from the movie, Brother, Where Art Thou? :) Yes, I definitely think of this village as a brain trust!

Thinking of how homemakers are trustworthy for the sake of their home and family and community. We've got this. :| Everyone else can relax a little more. The homemaker is here.

Also many thoughts today of being trustworthy, of those in whom we place trust, both practical and spiritual.

My family is trusting med professionals today with letters behind their names and diplomas on their walls. :) We all do that so often, don't we? Know they, in turn, are trusting skilled people at their sides, and teams in whom they have confidence, the technology that gives them more confidence.

Right now I'm trusting the washing machine to clean linens in my absence.
Need to get donation to driveway where I'll trust KF to pick up, use wisely.
Bathroom spif would be Next Up.
Probably need to go by the grocery today.

Thinking, trusting and waiting with you, Harriet.

I was supposed to go on a tour with our women from church today -Salvation Army's new village built for women and children. From there I was to go to lunch. Not happening. My tummy's just enough off this morning that I knew I didn't want to attempt either of those. So now I find myself at home, alone, trusting that I'll make use of the time and not completely waste it.

Dh gets the results of the MRI on his knee tomorrow morning. Have to call him later to remind him that he's to be there at 8:30.

Time to take my meds and attempt a little breakfast. Actually I was up in the night with low blood sugar and had to eat something. Hoping maybe it will stabilize now and be consistent daily.

Slow moving today.

Will put my trust in Caroline's doctor's today, that they'll be guided to do their best work and that her unusual start in life will soon be a distant memory. We can all be thankful that Harriet lives where she lives and that care is available.

Ds is here sleeping. Today is 'clean out the garage' day at his building and he was going to have to shift his car around during the day. Not good when he's supposed to be sleeping (and his neighbourhood is not safe enough to leave the car on the street.)

I'll run the rest of his laundry (he started his.) After his 12 hour shift, he sat up talking with me for over an hour.

MF and I couldn't set up a meeting. He'll actually be 5 minutes from here at one point today but he needs to keep his mind on the hospital (very sick parishioner.)

I have 13 documents to study before my meeting tonight so will do that while on the bus to my hair cuts. I'll leave around 4:45 for my meeting unless I decide to go to Costco & IKEA first to check out balcony floor options. Costco has a more expensive option but one that might last longer.

Still need to get dressed. The washer just buzzed so I'm off to flip loads and then pull my day together. Slept poorly last night so this will be a challenge.

Morning y'all...

Waiting in trust with the rest of the village.

Coming off migraine yesterday... Tis the season again ... Have a headache hangover so will take it easy.

Good news is I saw my headache dr yesterday and she told me she would do a nerve block if I wanted it. I love this woman... She's brillant and a bit odd, but she listens to me and values my opinions.

Before I left her I thanked her for every thing she does for me. She shrugged and said ... That's what I do here. ... Like it was no big deal. Well it's a big deal and after dealing with a bunch of bozos before I found, she doesn't realize what a treasure she is to me.

Gonna finish my coffee and take it easy today and perhaps slide down that rabbit hole twins got sucked into the other day..

Waving to y'all. I've got plenty of healthyuffuns, coffee, tea and the such as we wait for good news from Harriet.

I need to get going. Have been up since 7:30 - have had breakfast, done parts of a.m. routine, electronically filed out fed and state returns and uploaded my Rootsmagic database to a Roots magic web site.

Aaaack! I have got to stay out of the genealogy rabbit hole today! (Just disappeared after I wrote first paragraph of this and just now resurfaced...)

-kitchen counters, clean up and wipe
-try to figure out why dishwasher didn't run earlier and restart
-s2s
-walk dMacs
-start a lol

Will find a seat in the virtual waiting room with Harriet today, also.

It's so nice to look around and see all the faces from Sheville in this virtual waiting room. Nice to know we're here for each other.

I wonder how many people are scrambling to get taxes done...so grateful it's not me. I do have an insurance audit on Thursday; it's the latest in the year I've ever had one done.

Just puttering around today. I've run a tool up to DH; hung up/put away yesterday's LOL, washed and hung out another, sewed on a couple buttons; got caught up at my desk. Next up: QT and exercise.
