WELCOME WEE ONE WEDNESDAY

Wanted to name today something in honor of our newest board baby. So welcome to our world Sweet Caroline.
Having trouble sleeping tonight -obviously! Thought I'd get a start on the day (early though it may be).
Dh sees his orthopedist in the morning. Think he's a tad nervous about it, but would never admit it. Says it is what it is and that's true, but.........
They also start turning the water on throughout the campground and he IS nervous about that. He is expecting a lot of leaks. The frost went so deep in such a brutal winter. They already know they have problems with the valves to several septic tanks.
Today would be the 4th birthday of our dgdZoe. DD and I always go to Disney on her birthday to drop something in the water in "It's a Small World". When dd checked it for a fast pass the other day, we learned that it's CLOSED.

HRMPH!! They didn't ask us. So we'll find something else to do in place of it. But that's our plan for later this afternoon -off to Disney. Know it's one of her parents' favorite places and we've always felt there are things she would just love -especially Magic Kingdom.
Have a quarterly business meeting at church this afternoon. Have to stop on my way to pick up coffee. There's just enough for dd and dsonil to have some in the morning. Know this meeting will be important as the leaders of the church are bringing up a tender subject -that of changing affiliations.

Hi, Dee. Yes, that would be a very tense meeting, I suppose. I do not envy you or decision-makers. How rude of the "It's a Small World" folks. They should have asked you! Best wishes to Mr. DeeClutter.
Smiling at Kathryn's carousing last night. She's got to stop that.
I feel "winded" today even though I thought I slept rather well. I think yesterday was just stressful. HRH had taken me to lunch to try to break up the day and that was very kind, especially since he took me to a new-to-us Mexican, which is not best for his own comfort.
I couldn't bear to tell him that my meal was dry, so it's not going to be a favorite for me. I love Chile Relleno and this was virtually crispy it had been so overcooked.
Monday I had remembered to have two 1,000 mcg B-12 sublingual early, as hormone dr advised me, and I had a really good, productive day. I think I'll remember that is more important than the priority I've been giving it lately. I usually forget that one, since I'm more focused on gathering the ones I take with food/drink.
Today, well, it may be time to admit my limitations. Now that the early morning routine and school run through the rain are accomplished, my body is begging for a nap.

Good morning Dee and Harriet. ((Dee)) I hope the trip to Disney is helpful. So nice you can just do that for part of an afternoon.
I hope you get your mojo back, Harriet. Did you take a morning nap?
I'm up, have said good bye to dd16, let dogs out and back in the house umpteen times, checked email and web sites (not much going on!), and had my first mug of tea. The sun is shining brightly through our windows. There are some lacy clouds in the sky too, but I think it will be a nice day! I'm planning on a jog this afternoon, painful as that may be. . . . I need to do something!
Today is my most low-key day of this week. On my calendar, I only have payroll (1 class) this afternoon and then a dinner date with dh this evening at a favorite Asian fusion restaurant downtown. We cancelled our standard Wed. evening crew here b/c dh and I haven't had time to properly catch up with each other for about 2 weeks now, since we returned from Sedona. We just have snippets of conversation here and there, squeezed in between the busyness of jobs, meetings, church stuff, social engagements, and - oh, yeah, we still have a kid at home, etc. He is leaving for Europe on Friday for work, not sure exactly where - I can find out tonight - but of course, he will take the opportunity to visit his father and probably a sister or two.
I'm still tracking my payroll work hours. I'm averaging about 6 hours/day so far this week, but today will be less.
Along with the 300 year old chest, we have also inherited dh's family's Bible, published in 1660. It has some handwritten family notes in it, but they only date back to the late 1800s. It is enormous and has metal clasps to hold it shut. I think we need to purchase a book stand or something to carefully display it - or else, we need to carefully pack it away.
Dd19 thinks we should not touch up the paint on the metal chest. I related incorrectly how the chest is unlocked. First, you move a certain rivet on the lid forward. This reveals an opening. You then use a long metal pin (we are using a plastic knitting needle. . . ) to push a hidden button/lever hidden down in the opening that then triggers a small metal panel elsewhere on the chest to open. This reveals the key hole. I still can't open the chest. LOL!
I'm off to work on the a.m. routine and then go to the groc. store, a task that didn't happen yesterday. Have a good day, friends!

I took Harriet's nap for her -about 30/40 minutes. Dh just called as he was leaving the Dr's office. Surprise, surprise (NOT) he has a torn meniscus and will have surgery on April 24th. That will be micro surgery, but they won't know until they get in there if it can be fixed or not. If it can't be fixed, it will mean a knee replacement. Know he's not looking forward to being laid up with that. So praying that the minimum fix is a go.
Now I should get myself around and get my hair washed. I know it's going to be a 'dragging' kind of day.

Trying to decide if I can put off making a W mart run just one more day. I need to stop by A ldi's later and pick up some k-cup coffee. Used the last one this morning. Know it's more expensive than just plain ground coffee but so much more convenient for us. Know we're using much less water (we have to buy our drinking water) and we're wasting less.
It will seem very strange not being home when dh has this surgery, but can't be helped at this point -unless I drive up alone and no one wants me to do that -so here I am -stuck.
I had an item set aside to drop in the water for dZoe today and for the life of me, I can't find it. I did come across another little teddy bear charm that I had set aside so will use that. While we celebrate her brief life today, I will also be thinking of Sweet Caroline and the miracles surrounding her. So thankful things are progressing for her as they are. Nice part is she'll never remember this rough patch of her life.

Good morning, villagers ~
Today is a day of freedom for me.
* Personal federal tax forms are ready to take to the post office.
* Extended due date form for the library group's corporate forms is ready to take to the post office.
* It's LEGO Club day at the library, and that is the only thing on my to-do list for today other than basic 3Ds.
I would have preferred to have finished the tax forms for the library group to get them off my desk, but it isn't possible. There are several questions on the forms for which I can't find answers in the files I was given, but I could have made good estimates if necessary. However, I cannot send in the forms without a key piece of required info which another person continues to delay giving me. The due date extension will give me another 3 months to get all the ducks in a row.
Therefore, I am setting those files aside for the rest of this week. I need to get back to spring decluttering and cleaning.
Today is our 3rd day in a row of sunshine. It's glorious. There are leaf buds on all the trees. The grass is green. I have too much stuff to carry to LEGO Club to be able to walk to the library today, but I'm hoping the nice weather will hold through tomorrow so I can walk to work tomorrow afternoon.

Slept poorly and short.
Have 4 hours until I have a visitor. I added up everything I need to do before then and it adds up to 5 hours!
Time to lower standards.
I won't be posting much today.
Enjoyed listening to the ministerial horror stories last night. Some of them were a bit to close to home since they were about the Presbytery where MF is situated and included people I know through him. I shall no longer wonder if MF is exaggerating when he vents about situations in his area. He is not. Why he stays, though, is a wonder. But I now understand why so many of my minister friends here actually live near MF but work in the city. Putting up with long commutes is much better than putting up with some of the people out there.
Breakfast is done so time to poof and get at these chores.
Here's the list:
Ironing - getting that done will get the bedroom almost in order
Stash in dash
Vacuum kitchen and office
Slip shod sweep other floors
Mop floors
Weekly kitchen clean (for the first time in 7 weeks)
Bathroom weekly clean (ditto.)
Make something to serve
Lunch
S2s and eat breakfast (half done.)

I am thankful we got the taxes mail off Mon. Glad the net is working here. Slept well.
/Vent warning skippable/
Mr. Crankypants has left for work he diced to be the diab. Police today critiquing my new med schedule sigh that does NOT help. I had to set an a.m. med alarm to remind me on my phone like I have mid day, the one draw back of this new regimen. Bs was # 84 so I had to eat first, I chose a prune & granola bar h asked if that was to much w out a dose Sigh! I said I cover the bar after eating when it is low. Ack! I wanted to say "just be quiet already". It was too early for that much dialogue for me. /end rant/ thanks for listening.
I have had coffee, fed me & chichens. Thinking about my plan today I need to mop the dining room. Have a bit more knitting to do on the last of the sweater front I have going just 5 more rows to before the last buttonhole. I would like to have this done before our Sat. Meeting.
Thinking of hope imp. Store run to look at stone for pathe so if will not be so slick in the winter muddy months. Journal next up.
ToddlerN wee one will be here later on.

"Mr. Crankypants"
Ah, yes. A version of that guy comes through here every once in a while, too.
BookSaver, so library is close enough to walk to work in good weather? Seems like I already knew that but I guess it's been a while since you mentioned it because of winter.
Oh, Dee, that is tough but Mr. DeeClutter will be in good hands with family there.
helia, what a responsibility with the inheritance of that Bible. yipes. I almost do want to suggest you put it away somewhere safe and dark. Yet I know it would give dh joy to see it displayed.
I did nap. It had to be done. Somebody had to do it. Wish I could say I awake with the same vim and optimism for the day after a nap, but not really!
Lynlee needs to be my inspiration and I need to get to bed early every night instead of trying to pack more into the late hours.

So here's the question: is it better to have a mr. crankypants or a mr. clueless who knows nothing of his spouse's health challenges and doesn't offer support or concern at all? There oughta be a happy medium somewhere..
I guess I am procrastinating doing the kitchen cooking I need to get done today. 10 batches of popcorn (what will I put it in?) for DH to take to youth group. He doesn't want to drag out and prepare/wash the big popcorn machine they have. Rest of the kids are going to concert, he's staying behind with movie and popcorn (will you make the popcorn for me....)
I did my QT and kinda long declutter...some time on the phone. Off to kitchen next to make big double meatloaf (some for freezer) and that durn popcorn.
