SYNCHRONIZING SATURDAY

I'm almost betting that some of you have activities or events or tasks that need to be synchronized this weekend.
I've been awake since 4:25 and finally got dressed before 6:30. Dd and dsonil have gone to the flea market. They asked if I wanted to go -I kinda did but still had a bunch of time before I would be ready. Still have to down my meds and eat a bite of breakfast. Can't NOT do breakfast. BS just won't let me.
Have the bed made and have cuop -that's it. I need to make a PODA for several days and write down things I need to accomplish before the end of May. Time just seems to be flying by.
Need to discuss what's going to happen as far as Sunday's bulletin goes -over the weeks between my leaving and the other secretary returning from MI. Know she plans to stay there at least 3 months.
DD and I MIGHT drive over to watch the air show this afternoon -from across the street from the airport. Watched from there a couple of years ago -it was a stupendous vantage point.
Time for meds and then start taking baby steps for the day.
Sunny, glad your dh is ok. And also glad your accident was no worse -unnerving at any rate. Does the traffic become any lighter once all us 'snowbirds' go north? Know it does here.

DD just called to invite me to join them for breakfast. Dsonil and she are going to Plant City first so he can check on the plant. (I declined the invitation -it's good to see them doing something together -I don't have to tag along. I have things here to keep me busy anyway). But this reminded me to say that dsonil officially has a new job beginning May 6th with C oca C ola in a nearby plant -only 6 miles from here. Right now he's traveling 50 miles to Tampa most days and at least to Plant City. Imagine he'll give notice on Monday. They have really been 'jerking' him around the last several weeks and he'll really be glad to be out of there. It has to be a win/win situation. He'll get a raise of over $5/hour and not be driving over 100 miles a day. That alone is a big savings -both on him and the car.

What an appropriate title for today, Dee! There are several things I do need to synchronize in my schedule today. I have no meetings today, nor are we hosting any get-togethers. Today is wide open day on my calendar!!
But, I need to use today to accomplish several things.
Congratulations to dsil, Dee! It sounds like a better situation for him. I'm sure dd and dsil appreciate the time alone. That was kind of you.
To be synchronized today:
- laundry
- groc. store trip - it would be best if this could be for the entire week. Unless I go at night, I won't get a chance to go again until Wed. a.m.
- Target trip
- car: oil change and back brake lamp replaced
- move dd19 home
- jog
- anything else on my weekly list?
- look into hotels in Iceland; we're way behind on this. Dh booked the tix about a week ago.
I am up, s2s-ed, have checked emails, and am drinking tea.
Next:
- QT - and bfast; I'll do double duty
- reclaim kitchen
- groc. list

Just plodding along here. Knees are incredibly sore.
Dh has proposed bagels at lunch which may be a poor plan due to it being Saturday but I've agreed. We'll have to bike though, I don't think I can walk that far. Actually, I know I can't at this moment but things might clear up. I'm wobbly enough that I'm considering using the cane in the apartment.
Goals for the day:
Taxes
Update Quicken (small goal)
Reconcile the 2014 investment account (large goal.)
In synching my schedule, I see:
Tomorrow we have church, check out art at Surfer Dude's parents' home, drive to the Seaway for late lunch/early dinner.
Monday is put the tile on the balcony day. Everything I've read says it shouldn't take more than half a day but who knows how into perfectionism those people are.
Tuesday night we'll go watch the hockey game (if there is one) at the arena on the big screen.
Wednesday, dh has a concert with the Male Choir out in the rural area of the city (actually, I think it might be just outside the city boundaries, but at least 30 miles away.)
Friday I'm proposing we go away for the weekend. I finally found a lovely looking B&B and am waiting to hear availability. If I don't get an email but this afternoon, I'll call. The place looks fantastic, it is an 11,000 square foot mansion that belonged to a lumber baron, turned into a B&B. If that gets booked, I'll have to look into things to do in the area, hiking or biking, touristy stuff and any local church suppers or concerts.
In between times, I need to make sure I get a good start on the year-end bookkeeping for the business. May 11 is my deadline.

Good morning.
Wish I could synch my schedule, but I forgot to pick up my payroll schedule yesterday. Hope I remember to get it today so I will know what next week will look like.
Have a great day, everyone.

More done:
- QT
- sat down w/ dh and dd16 for bfast/brunch
- found list of possible schools for dd16 I'd made many months ago; a pure design school may not fit the bill with another major in mind. Whose rankings do I believe? They're all subjective to some extent. . . . Which school would be a good fit for dd16?
- reclaimed the kitchen
- moved dd19 back home
- hen chores
Next:
- start laundry
- scoop kitty litter
- bank; it closes at 2 pm. There are 2 checks that have been sitting around the house for a couple months, one for more than 3 months. I wonder if it is still valid? They're not for much $$ - but still, it would feel good to get them taken care of.

Hmm....... Did I scare everyone away with my last post?
More done:
- scooped kitty litter
- bank
- Target
- groc. list and menu plan for the week; it's a bit of an exotic week menu-wise with trout marinated in soy sauce, garlic (dh just chopped up 2 bulbs. Yes, I wrote that correctly - 2 bulbs, not cloves.
He didn't intend to do that - but he did. . . ), and fresh ginger w/ rice and fresh asparagus tonight, breaking open some of the Dutch cheese dh brought back from the NL tomorrow night, M - lemon pasta w/ grilled chicken and green salad, T - Korean bulgogi (marinated and sauteed beef) and steamed yellow squash, W - dd16 and I will eat leftovers/tamales and dh will be out w/ work, Th - Indian shrimp curry, which dh will make from scratch w/ his collection of Indian spices and more fresh ginger and probably another 2 bulbs of garlic, etc. We'll roast 4 heads of broccoli and see if we can find some naan to go with it. If not, I'll do another sort of bread. We switched Wed. dinner crew to Thursday for this week, so the curry will be for that gathering.
- Groc. store. Got a LOT of groceries
- put everything away from groc. store and from Target, except a few items that need to go downstairs.
I never started laundry. I am really tired right now - but dh is encouraging me to go for a jog while he cooks dinner. The fish needs to marinate for some time anyway. . .

Hi, helia! LOL - no I was not scared away, just busy, busy.
Dd16 and the young man are off to the prom. Hopefully the rain won't dampen spirits. Wardrobes seem to be fine.
Earlier, I kept the laundry moving and finished 3 loads through to put-away.

Oh, how wonderful for dd16, Harriet!! I hope she has a fantastic time with the young man.
Since I was falling asleep at the computer, I decided not to go for a jog - but I've been grazing, so that hasn't been too helpful. Dh is working in the garage, so it's been nice to sit in a quiet house. Dd16 is gone, planning to go watch a musical w/ a friend and then sleep over at her house. We'll see her at church tomorrow morning. This is a church friend. (Also her bff.) Dd19 is off delivering final exams care packages, which she and her bff (ski friends' dd18) put together, to the students in her Univ. Christian group. They spent the afternoon baking and putting the packages together. They both finished early with their finals. Dd19 should be home soon. . .
I need to get working again. I should prep the asparagus as dh is going to be cooking the fish soon, and it will cook very quickly. I should probably start laundry. I did get a lot accomplished today, though. . . . I think being on the run all week helps me to be more busy on a Saturday - even though I wimped out when it came time for jogging.
Dh and I have a date to go out for coffee tonight.
