We're saying goodbye to the first half of 2015 today!

Transitioning into the downhill side of the year, will you be reassessing goals?

Any calendaring to consider? Perhaps take a look at record-keeping?

Are you deserving of a pat on the back today because you're on track with a project or plan?

Does anyone know which thread has the July declutter challenge list?

Yep I have a bruise on my hip, no extra stiffness or pains however so this is good news.

Dgd #2 wants to fo come over 2day maybe, later as I have knitting class errands store run to do.

Did some watering, trash is at the curb.

Journaling done. Got my lavander planted yesterday.
Red flag warnings out. 100+ for the next week prayers appreciated.

Wow! That is hot Nancy!

I am up, swam and have finished breakfast.

Now to go dry my hair.

Oh, that's great harriet! I'm not one to get to it early so tomorrow is fine for me. Others here were talking about printing it out, so I wondered if I needed to find it and do the same.

WTG with swimming, Kathryn!

With one mug of tea in my system, the scale said I was under 150. I'm slowly making progress.

I am s2s, self-care done, and am settled with more tea and a banana for my QT.

Good morning everyone! I got my essential errands run last night and have some less critical ones left for tonight. Did my declutter challenge in the pantry, how embarrassing! Five grocery bags of expired stuff + small bag of snacks brought to payroll breakroom. Newest foster cat stayed out last night and there were no incidents that woke me up. She is back in while I am at work, but soon will have the run of the house.

Tonight's Plan:
  • Remaining errands
  • Crochet work
  • LOLs
  • DPC and email
  • Reservations
  • Pay a bill
  • Cook the cube steak that is thawing
  • Delcutter challenge - kitchen equipment
  • Pack dance bag
I don't have much in the way of kitchen equipment, and what I have is in a cabinet except for a popcorn popper. All the equipment is used, too. I guess I will put the popper away and spend some time on other kitchen stuff.

Harmony: It is possible to have a migraine without a headache. For me, it manifests itself as a visual aura (which is really cool!) with no other symptoms. Happens at most once a year. I almost never get the aura with the headache.

Strongly recommend travel to Russia for anyone who gets the opportunity. St. Petersburg could occupy a week all by itself.

Helia - I am cheering for your success in jogging and weight loss. You are doing so well while also juggling so many other parts of your life.

The first 4 hours of my day went almost perfect . I don't expect perfection and really don't want to achieve it. I just like the happy feeling when I know that I did my best.

Today, my little corner of the world is joining the others who are having triple digit heat. We have had an unusually cool summer this year so haven't adjusted to the heat yet. It usually takes my body a few days then I'm fine with it.

My focus is still on my desk. I need to pick up the pace but even though the calendar has reduced appts this week there is limited time available. I have 8 hours & 29 minutes logged working at desk over the past 2 days. There has been two sessions over an hour long, but most of the time logged comes in small time segments. I am having to really watch my response to LO when he interacts with me. I find myself wanting to get into a groove and let the world melt away. I can't do that and still monitor LO. I am learning to break desk work down into little segments so I can more easily start again after each stop/pause.

Heading off now for a bit of a walk since the rain stopped. Hopefully I'll be warm enough. Not triple digits here. It is overcast and 63.

I did a full round of physio so won't have to do that before bed tonight. Yay for being proactive. My new balance exercise went extremely well. I'm so thrilled that my feet have healed to the point where I can stand, barefoot, on one foot on a carpeted floor for a minute.

See you all later!

Kathryn, happy to read your feet are so much better. I can walk barefoot on a hard floor now too, but I don't do it for very long because I'm afraid to stir up the old troubles. Just a good supportive slipper is not a problem though any more. It's a great thing to have working feet!

Hoping Harriet's DD is doing better today with medicines kicked in.

My Ta-Da is that appointment went very well this morning and the lady we saw was very knowledgeable and everything went smoothly. I got some other things accomplished so far, yesterday's laundry dealt with, some folded, other stuff back out outside to dry; dishes done; check to the bank; updated a spreadsheet; sorted mail, mail to the box.

LadyM, I totally understand what you are going through with your paperwork and interruptions. The older I get the harder it is for me to stop and start. I do much better with a long concentrated effort. I guess that's why I've got my schedule the way it is, after dailies are done I sit in the quiet and get the paperwork caught up. Doesn't always work when I get interrupted by the phone or doorbell.

Still feeling iffy. A little better than yesterday, but I'm still taking a pain reliever and can feel that a headache is trying to break through. I was aware of it through the night. If it's a migraine like Elizabeth suggested, it wouldn't last this long, would it? Just so very odd.

Nancy, I sure hope that wildfire isn't very close to you.
