Tuesday - Where is Everybody?

Good morning all. I find it very difficult to believe that I am the first person here today. However, I have reloaded the page several times, and still no previous Tuesday topic appears.
Yesterday evening was spent running errands and cleaning. I got the hallway done and started DD's room. Had to add repair her closet doors to my pending list. I did get my Oracle SQL problem fixed. Turned out someone had changed the path on us. Checked my meds - I have plenty for the trip, did some LOLs (and even put most of them away), and arranged to borrow a rolling cooler for the water park visit. No declutter challenge, just ran out of time.
Tonight is Girls' Night Out with DD13 and, since she has been gone > 1 week, I see Chinese food in my immediate future.
My parents are moving, they call it downsizing. Technically true, from 2400 sq ft to 2100 sq ft, with one fewer bedroom. The yard is much smaller, but my Dad has always liked working in the yard. He HATES mowing, so the old house was completely wooded except for a small patch in the front requiring only a weedeater. They are moving less than a mile away. This is a bit mystifying to me.

Apparently we are all AWOL!
I was up late and working on my first person narrative for Sunday.
Kitchen and bedroom are tidied. Dh went fishing after an early morning conference call with Norway. He says he has to get out earlier next time, it is already too hot.
I may stay inside with the a/c all day today!
(BTW: our hot temperatures are about 20 degrees cooler than those of you with really hot temps!)

Good Morning Dear Ladies,
When it rains, it pours. Dbrother fell last night and broke his arm. He was changing into his pajamas and was taking off his socks which he always does from a standing position and bending down, when he lost his balance and fell. Trip to ER and several hours later, they splintered the arm and put it in a sling. Gave me the number of an orthro doc who I called today. They will call back with a work-in appointment. Said it will take about 8 weeks to heal.
He went to the hospital in his pajamas, it seemed the easiest to do, rather than try to move the arm around. I told him to leave them on for today, it can be a jammie day, better than trying to maneuver things around that arm.
DH and Dsons are out to a job site! It's a small one but every little bit helps. Once they got the lawn mower fixed, another part broke so we still have our jungle. Think they will work on that once they get back.
I have the dishes washing. I should help Dbrother strip his bed and make it back up. I usually do his sheets on Tuesdays and he is very concerned about following a routine, no matter what.
Off to the adventures.
Great Day to all!

I am going back and forth with dd on Facebook messaging about her plans. Kathryn, and other well traveled friends: is it safe for her to travel in Europe alone if she is booking hostels in advance and staying in touch with us? She's thinking of Rome or Amsterdam, just told her it would help her case if she could narrow down what she wants to do. I think we would be okay with her staying in Israel indefinitely if she wanted, but at this point she's wanting to leave Israel earlier than originally planned so I don't understand. And dh and I have been bickering and I just hate to start anything with him. She wants to be independent and I do get that.
I had a 10 a.m. "body work" appointment this morning, so was up around 7:30, did part of a.m. routine and then was out of the house. Went by the temple to sign two cks for religious school and got a tour - we are replacing windows, floors and HVAC vents, and rec'd new furniture from a local CPA firm that was moving into new offices.
-bring in trash can and move dd's car into garage
-figure out what I need to do with the rest of the day
-lunch challenge
-water outside plants that haven't been rained on (on patio and front porch)
-reboot laundry

Morning y'all...
Here I "is"....walked the track at 5:00, came home did my routines and now am working on my desk.
Twins...wish I could help, but am clueless.
Sadie...broke my arm awhile back, just above the wrist, towards the elbow and I was in a cast for 8 weeks. Mine wasn't a hard plastered one thank goodness so after a few weeks I could slide it off and wash my arm. I broke the same arm when I was a kid and still remember how itchy those hard cast can be so was glad for the soft one.
I am staying away from the rabbit hole today. I did a short synopsis of my former husband's side of the family, ran off some documents as well as a pedigree chart. Then I hand wrote a family ancestry chart of four families and merged them. Made two packages which included a hard copy picture of my former husbands grandmother and mailed them to my son and his father. My dfil...former... is still alive so I hope the picture of his mom makes him smile. I also set up a note book with all the information that I found. Been working on this project for well over a week and am finally finished...at least for now.
Feels like when I was in college and had a huge project/report to turn in. Worked on it like a maniac and am feeling the same huge relief to finally have it done
Today is a desk day for me again, but thankfully I have other things I need to work on. I want to start working on gathering "things" I need to take with me on my trip. One of them is a photo album I am putting together ... It's like the rabbit hole, but not as bad LOL
Off to start my work...waving to y'all. Enjoy your day

I'm busy ironing today. (Sorry, Harriet!)
Called the bug lady...
Breakfast, vitamins...
Dressed2shoes -- but must S2S before going out to face the public!
(((Sadie's dbro))) So sorry to hear about the broken arm.
(((Twins))) -- I'm no help, either, re: travel, but boy... I understand the bickering and tension you're talking about... (((HUGS)))
I understand being mystified at dparents' decisions, too, Elizabeth. My dmom just has my head spinning w/all her stuff she is wanting to do at her house and my dgmother's house. Dfriend's mother wants to build a new house. I asked him, "What gets into them at this age???" LOL. I'm glad my dmom has these "projects" to keep her busy and looking forward though... much better than a year or so ago, when she was still lying on the couch all day every day in deep depression. She still lies on the couch a lot, b/c of back pain, but she is doing much better, emotionally.

Much progress at payroll, but an annoying correspondence with the x. I wonder if he deliberately 'misunderstands' schedule deviations. At the time of the divorce, he tried to force me into an every other weekend arrangement, rather than the split weekends, which he knew would not work with my schedule. He even had his lawyer write up the papers that way, saying "Just sign it, we can work it out later" when we were at the mediator. When I told him "This is a legal document and I will not commit perjury", the mediator sided with me and he had to spend money to get it rewritten. (He kept forgetting I read EVERYTHING I sign). He keeps trying to sneak it back in every chance he gets.
Here is a physicist joke to describe annoying people (who could I possibly mean?): "He is a DADT."
DADT is to be understood as
da
dt
or the derivative of acceleration with respect to time, in other words, JERK!

Nancy, it's the second one down in Creative Home.
((Sadie, dbrother and family)) Ouch, ouch - hope it doesn't ache too much today.
I was up late last night, mentally going over the upset in my extended family and trying to think of the right things to do. Posted here but ya'll would not know it because having said it all I was able to delete.
Anyway, the upshot of that was that I had to ask dd to let me go back to bed this a.m. while she continued getting ready for work. I did get about another half-hour of sleep. After the trip with her, I had just minutes here at home to get ready for the class I'm teaching at church. Back home, I finally ate - that was nearly noon.
Still ended up with a headache. Sigh.
Email/chatted dd through a mini-crisis at work (two bosses telling her to spend her time in two different ways).
A little piddling around here, but the headache seems intent on keeping me from good coherent thought. It'll be okay.
