I hope each of your days goes smoothly.

Whether you are on the go all day, as I am, or on the road, as Twins is, already on holiday, as Elizabeth is or just having a routine Sunday - I hope that everything goes as you would want it to.

I was awake at 6 and out of bed not long after. Need to keep going today.

Before we leave at 9, I have to cut the veggies and squares for coffee hour, walk on the treadmill for a bit (since there's not a lot of time for walking today, write the prayers, print off the service, pack my preaching bag including my costume and my singing bag, s2s, eat breakfast and tidy up the kitchen. Oh, and practice my narrative at least two more times.

The practices are going more smoothly now that I'm pacing while I say the words. I'm thinking the motion helps focus my mind. Still would like to practice it 3 more times before delivering it this afternoon. After coffee hour I'll have time to do it in the sanctuary at my church which will help. In the past, I've practiced sermons there even if I was preaching elsewhere. The setting also helps me focus.

We leave here at 9 (in 2 hours) and then I'll set up coffee hour (remembering to turn on the water heater this time!), church, coffee hour, practice, lunch, preach, preach again, rest. (At this point we'll have 2 hours so I'm hoping to park the car in a park and lie down, listening to the ball game and nap. Dinner at a new restaurant about 10 minutes south of the village, then back to the village for a visitation.

The (my age) son of a favourites in the church has finally died. We didn't know him well enough to go to the funeral (he wasn't part of the church) but we want to be at the visitation for his parents. It has been a long death and they are worn, so this is a relief to both them and us since we hated to see them getting more and more tired as the months went by. On the other hand, the disease moved them forward and they sold their farm (but kept the family farm house) and have traveled with their son and his wife over and over again in the past few years, so they've had some respite from medical appointments and time to focus on relationships and letting go.

*Poof* I'll see you all later, maybe at lunch, maybe after one of my services (both retirement homes have wifi) or perhaps late tonight.

Morning y'all...

I am taking off to day to visit my mom. Looks like good flying weather. Rains won't hit till Tue, but that's alright with me. I miss those rainy days living in the desert.

I am tsa pre-approved so I won't have to take off my shoes... Plus I am checking my bag which means I'll be hands free when boarding. I am taking the red-eye and will land around 5:30am. I have plenty of time to catch the train to my home town so there will be no need to rush.

And I will get to eat a jelly donut from dunkin's while in the airport. It's the only time I allow myself one. Only this time it will be fresh..usually I get one when I'm flying back to AZ and they've been sitting around all day.

Off to start my day... I am packed but want the house to be blessed before I leave for Sweetie.

I slept in today. Thinking about what is next. Breakfast was biscuits n grqvey but I forgot the ingredients when I was at the store maybe dinner. Sigh.

At lunch. Church went smoothly and dh and I took a walk after to pick up the mail at the general store.

Today there are photos of ds and my sister with his new car. It wasn't a joke, he has really bought a Z3. Sigh. Nice looking car, though.

Hoping everybody traveling is having a safe, fun time.

House is in a real mess. One whole energetic day would put it right, but I don't have that much energy and muscles are still worn out. It's my arms today that are bothering me.

I slept in a while to just rest instead of going to church. I did start in and made a little progress. Ran the dishwasher, folded 3 LOL, emptied dishwasher, put a lot of stuff away, sprayed down the shower then scrubbed it a little and rinsed. So much more needing done. Will I ever catch up?

Gotta gather garbage for tomorrow..and I need to shine DH pickup windshield (he can't reach that with his arms) because they're smeary and when the sun shines on it he can hardly see to drive. Something's off-gassing in there causing the smears. I looked it up once, it comes from the plastics.

I guess I better get back to it.

Spiffed up the kitchen after breakfast and lunch prep.
We got the broken chair. Frame upstairs and out to the carport.
