October 2021, Sort, Tidy, Declutter!

Post by Harriet »

Welcome! In this thread we encourage each other to give clutter attention to our homes. Some may be in the middle of marathon clutter-clearing. Others of us are keeping up with maintenance, or redeeming a few areas that are on a slide, or tackling the paper tiger.

Gee, we now arrive at another October that may not turn out to be one in which we look toward opening our doors to many visitors later in the year. Hmmm... ..

Still, we have this month to keep our homes as we want them and ready! WE are worth it! Plus, keeping on top of things now will keep us from overwhelm later.

How are things? If they're good, your friends here will appreciate hearing about it!
If they're October-scary  , no friends could understand better!

Join in and let us know how you are progressing!

I am slowly decluttering again. I have decided to let go of the couch and the chair (pottery barn cloth) bc dogs just kill it. Even if they just rub against it makes huge dirt marks. I have washed it over and over and the covers have shrunk.

thank you for starting us d harriet!

I have put some things in amz. boxes to go in my rounds of decluttering.
And crafting items to share. Helps get the boxes out of here and clearing out projects that were stacked up in various rooms.

I have donated the largest box.
Three stacks of books left this morning as well.
Loaded plastic bags to be recycled.

HRH and I tackled some outdoor storage today. An expensive frame had been put in there during the move :o so it's rescued.

Will toss a cardboard set of drawers from dd's old room, with all it's contents gone through. Another, however, is in such good shape it might be helpful to keep for organization.

The things we were looking for? Nope, not there.

I am working on not creating a bigger mess then what I started with.

smart goal, blessed

Nancy, I have way too many delivery boxes around here.
